Total Bellas Island - Total Bellas recap for April 30, 2020

At Artem's house, Brie tries to figure out what to wear for the premiere of SmackDown on Fox when Artem shows up wearing Nikki's ring gear. Nikki settles on a blue outfit, but admits she would do anything to be in a wrestling match.

Brie, Nikki and Artem are at a restaurant. Nikki makes fun of Brie for not making out with Bryan in public, and Brie feels that she wishes she and Bryan could be like that right now.

In Phoenix, Arizona, Nikki and Artem go see the doctor for a check-up on Nikki's neck. Nikki wishes she had a way to participate in the action from ringside, and she really wants to know what her WWE future is.

Nikki and Artem meet with the doctor. The doctor advises that Nikki stay from even doing anything at ringside due to the high risk of paralysis from a shot to the neck.

At Artem's house, Nattie has come to visit, and is a guest on the Bellas' podcast. Brie tells Nattie that Nikki will not be at the SmackDown premiere due to her doctor's advice. Nattie says this reminds her of TJ avoiding the ring because it reminded him of what he couldn't do until he became a producer for WWE. On the podcast, Nattie says that she would love to do some behind-the-scenes things when her in-ring career is over, and Nikki feels like she is in the right place to go to the SmackDown premiere.

Nikki tries to help Artem envision what to do after being cut from Dancing With The Stars, and look through magazines at a magazine stands in order to kickstart some ideas in the form of a "vision board." Artem admits that Nikki has a way of steering him in a direction, and that it comes from a good place. Nikki doesn't want to see Artem jobless forever.

Brie and Nikki take part in a photo shoot for Health Magazine. Brie feels that she is very busy and that she must work while the momentum is going, even if that means being away from her family for a while.

At Artem's house, Nikki is making a vision board for Artem when Brie shows up with food. Brie feels that the vision board is more for Nikki than for Artem and is more of a vision of what Nikki wants Artem to be. Nikki admits she feels bad, but she feels this will help Artem. Brie reminds Nikki that not many people can handle all the chaos that they put themselves through when it comes to business opportunities. Nikki admits that she doesn't know exactly what Artem wants.

Brie and Bryan spend time with Birdie at Woodbridge Park in Los Angeles. Brie asks Bryan how they can show more public displays of attention. Brie wishes they could be more like a married couple instead of joking about or ignoring the lack of affection they show each other, and even Bryan wishes they could do more and balance being a married couple and running business projects.

At Artem's House, Nikki presents the vision board to Artem. It becomes apparent from everyone else that the vision board was not exactly the great idea that Nikki thought it was, and that Artem has a different way of approaching how to take care of what he needs to take care of.

Brie and Nikki go shopping for clothes for Birdie. Brie says that Birdie has been having trouble sleeping, and everyone is so miserable they wish they could leave early. Nikki proposes that Bryan take Birdie home while Brie stays, but Brie admits she set everything up so she and Bryan could spend time together. Brie admits that they are disconnected and drifting away from each other in their relationship.

Brie, Bryan and Artem go to a party for the opening of their friend Kristen's design store. Nikki tells Brie that she got a call to audition for WWE Backstage, and is surprised that Brie did not get the call. Brie is shocked that WWE only wants one of the Bella twins and not both of them.

Nikki auditions for WWE Backstage. She admits that she will miss being in the ring, but there are friends on the show she can easily support.

At Artem's house, Nikki and Artem have dinner together. Artem tells Nikki that she has been listening to Nikki concerning the vision board and that she has been taking it seriously. She says that his family are realists, and while his hopes and dreams are real, he does not take what he has done for granted and he needs to be the captain of his ship. Artem asks for Nikki to trust in him, and Nikki tells Artem that he wants Artem to simply know his worth while telling him to do what he feels makes him happy. Nikki realizes she needs to stop forcing things on Artem and let the opportunities come to Artem.

Brie talks to Bryan about Nikki's idea of Bryan taking Birdie home while Brie stays in Los Angeles for three days. Bryan says he will be gone the next day when he heads out to Australia, and says that Brie has buried herself in business. Bryan says that they have strayed away from the simple life they promised themselves when they married, and while Nikki says they have "evolved as humans," Bryan wants to know when they can simply spend time together. Brie thinks she will eventually be less busy, but Bryan tells her that she has taken on too much as he begrudgingly agrees to take Birdie home. Brie says she has worked so hard to get to where she is and has gotten opportunities she never thought she could get, but she has evolved as a woman.

Brie and Nikki are at the premiere for SmackDown on Fox. Nikki realizes that there will always be opportunities to connect with the fans, and that she is happy that the opportunities are there for her. Brie and Nikki then catch up with the backstage staff and the members of the women's division. Nikki realizes she would have been bummed out if she did not show up at the premiere. During ths how, Brie and Nikki meet with Bryan, who wonders if his and Brie's relationship is sustainable, and feels that the two of them need to do something if they need to do more than just survive as a couple.

His sights have been set on the title for the last year, and tonight, the dream was going to be realized. However, he is in the ring with a microphone instead of two opponents, as Tessa Blanchard has bitten off more than she can chew and Eddie doesn't want anymore of him after their best-of-five series. He demands a referee come into the ring, and referee Brandon Tolle shows up. As he demands that the ref raises his hand, he demands that ring announced David Penzer get into the ring. When he refuses, he threatens to put him in the ring. Penzer gets in the ring. Elgin then demands that Penzer proclaim him new World Champion as the referee raises his hand, and as all of this goes down, the lights go down and Moose's entrance music suddenly hits. Moose is on the stage, and when he unties the sash around his robe, he is wearing the TNA World Heavyweight Championship around his waist as he heads into the ring. As Moose proclaims himself TNA World Heavyweight Champions, Elgin says that TNA's name - which Moose has been running down - is now Impact and tells Moose to go back to the mid-card. Zelina then kicks away the velvet rope in front of the ring before saying it does not have to be that way if the three of them are willing to do what is best for Raw and allow her faction to take their place. Seth Rollins - dressed in a suit, tie and one black glove - is introduced first, followed by Drew McIntyre. McIntyre tells Lawler to leave the ring, to which Lawler agrees to doing, before sitting down at the table along with Rollins before signing the contract, then demanding Rollins do the same so they can get this done in seconds. Rollins says he does not want this match, and that he has to do this. He admits to dropping him two weeks ago to get to this point, and says this is not about either of them. Rollins says that McIntyre will be a great champion, for he is a great and honorable man, but he is not a leader like him, as he has led and people have followed, and the fans need someone they can turn to and be guided by. Rollins says he can be "the light in that darkness," and says he had to suffer for the WWE title and that McIntyre does not need to, for the title is his burden to carry and not McIntyre's. Rollins states he does not want to be the one to crush his dream, but he has to, and says that when McIntyre realizes that, he can find him, and he will lead him, too. McIntyre admits that was an enlightening, passionate speech from Rollins, and says it is clear to him and everyone else watching that Rollins is "completely full of shit" due to having no followers and not taking accountability for anything. He says that while he has no idea what is going on in Rollins' head, he will not let him win the WWE Championship under any circumstances, and advises that he shut his mouth forever, saying he puts his foot in his mouth and "his head up his arse" simultaneously whenever he opens it. He also advises that Seth Rollins finish the job with him and go for the throat, for he will do the same. Both men stand up, and Rollins says that the picture will be clear and that McIntyre will be better off for it. Rollins signs the contract, then McIntyre attacks him when he tells him to have faith. After a Glasgow Kick, McIntyre readies the Claymore Kick, but Murphy runs into the ring and attacks McIntyre. The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) show up to start tonight's show. Kofi and Big E celebrate their SmackDown Tag Team Championship win from last week in the ring, and Kofi credits their eighth tag team title reign to Big E, who says there is nothing like having the tag team titles again. As Big E says that they have more championships than future Tampa Bay Buccaneer Tom Brady, Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado of The Lucha House Party show up to congratulate The New Day while lamenting that they have not gotten a shot at the titles. Suddenly, The Miz and John Morrison show up. The Miz says that The New Day are acting like legitimate champions despite winning the title in a singles match, and Morrison says The New Day has never beaten them as a team. As The Miz says The New Day are not deserving of the title, Metalik and Dorado butt in, and before they can say what they just said in English, The Forgotten Sons (Jaxson Ryker, Wesley Blake, Steve Cutler) show up. Steve Cutler introduces The Forgotten Sons to The Miz, and says he will remember their names as they take over the SmackDown tag team division and make it forgotten no more. Miz butts in, but Ryker reminds him that he has played a Marine in the movie while he is a real-life Marine. He also says that The Forgotten Sons can be described as savages that sometimes you'll never see coming. This starts a brawl. Miz and Morrison retreat as The Forgotten Sons lay waste to The New Day and The Lucha House Party in the ring.

We look back on Triple H's debut year of 1995 as "The Connecticut Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst Helmsley.

We see a video package documenting the history between Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman.

Next week: Otis vs. Dolph Ziggler and Mandy Rose vs. Carmella in Money In The Bank qualifying matches!

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross retain the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against Carmella and Dana Brooke.

Next week: Daniel Bryan vs. King Corbin!

Triple H shows up. He is denied a water bottle on the way to the ring. As Triple H says he cannot believe that he has been in WWE for 25 years, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels shows up. Shawn says there is no celebration without him, and after some social distancing, Shawn says he has sent out hundreds of invitations to his closest friends, loved ones and people who care about him, and they are all here for him. After it becomes obvious that almost nobody else is in the Performance Center, Shawn tells Triple H he's still got it and packing them in before thanking him for his one 25th anniversary show from a few years back. As Triple H says it is hard to pick a favorite moment, Shawn then says he never had one, and Triple H says that heads are about to roll before Shawn brings up the formation of D-Generation X and how everything they did worked. We then see a video package of D-Generation X's "not-so-great moments," which consists of gag reels and bloopers of pre-recorded promos as well as funny in-ring moments. After admitting that not everything was done in one take, Shawn says that slip-ups didn't stop Triple H's accomplishments from eclipsing his own before a video package of Triple H's WrestleMania losses is played. Nevertheless, Triple H says this makes him want to thank a lot of people, and without those people, his career would be nothing. Shawn then mentions Triple H meeting Stephanie McMahon when Triple H's cell phone rings. Triple H gets a call from Stephanie, who says that she is watching and that it is everything they could ask for when she noticed Shawn talk about her. Shawn proceeds to mock her, and Triple H is forced to hang up on her and tell Shawn she says hi. Shawn and Triple H then talk about "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who calls Triple H to tell him that he is proud of him and hoping he is having a great time before telling him not to let Shawn superkick him at the end of the segment. After Ric Flair hangs up, Triple H's phone rings again. After the commercial break, "Road Dogg" Jesse James is calling Triple H, unaware that the show is live. After that call, Shawn mentions "the Katie Vick segment." All of a sudden, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon shows up. Vince congratulates Triple H on 25 years in WWE, and says that he would give a great big hug and that everyone would be standing around the ring under normal circumstances before mentioning the Katie Vick segment, saying it was pretty bad and in poor taste. After initially likening his performance to The Gobbledygooker's debut at Survivor Series 1990, he then likens it to Bayley's "This Is Your Life" segment - even though the segment's failure had nothing to do with Bayley - before both men say that they love each other and Vince says he loves Triple H and Shawn before saying their performance is "god-awful." He then says good night and leaves before demanding that everything be shut down. The lights then go out on the Performance Center bit by bit, then rickets can be heard before the arena is completely dark. This ends the show.

Total Bellas Island - Total Bellas recap for April 23, 2020

In Phoenix, Arizona, Nikki and Birdie have some fun with make-up.

Brie, Nikki and the family go to a butterfly sanctuary and the aquarium. Kathy wants to do a family photo for her birthday, but does not want Artem in it as she does not exactly consider him part of the family. JJ thinks that Nikki favors Birdie over his and Lauren's daughters, which worries Brie and Kathy.

Brie and JJ do some yoga, then Brie gets a call from the Phoenix Police Department regarding a break-in of her car. Brie learns that her car has been found, but Brie would rather she not find out what happened to it.

Nikki and Kathy go to a fine goods store. Kathy asks if it were okay if Artem were not in her family photo for her birthday. Brie thinks Artem would be upset, and she feels that her relationship is not being taken seriously. Even as Nikki is fine with the idea and Kathy regretting it in the end, Kathy proposes one photo with Artem and one without, much to Nikki's hilarity.

Brie and Birdie go to the towing company where Brie's car is. Brie sees the damage done to the car as well as some bullet casings inside of the car. Brie is shaken.

Brie, Nikki and JJ go to a liquor bar for a dress-up party. JJ and Artem are there. Artem teaches everyone how to do a box step in order to warm up to some more people, including Nikki's family. Kathy feels guilty about the photo session and keeping Artem out of one of the pictures, but she is determined to go through with it. Brie brings up JJ saying that Nikki favors Birdie more than her brother's children, and Nikki feels like there is more to this statement.

At Brie and Bryan's house, Brie tells Bryan that she misses him, then tells Nikki that she hates being alone after what happened to her car. She feels like everything in her life is falling apart and that she has no control over her life. With Nikki's house being delayed, Nikki and Artem get to stay with her longer.

At JJ and Lauren's house, Brie shows up with Birdie, with Nikki not showing up until later. Meanwhile, Nikki and Artem are having dinner at a restaurant when Brie calls. Nikki tells Brie they will not be making it due to JJ's comments. Nikki tells Artem what is going on, and Artem feels that JJ feels like he is missing out on things. Nikki tells Artem that he feels there is something else going on besides her brother's kids. When JJ finds out from Nikki that Nikki is not coming via text, JJ feels that his comments are being validated. Meanwhile, Nikki and Artem have pie together.

At Brie and Bryan's house, Brie has told Bryan - who is now back from the road - what has happened, and now feels relieved. She brings up some ideas as to make the home more secure. Bryan feels Brie is more paranoid after the car was broken in, but that the paranoia is justified. Brie, still feeling more secure when she is not alone, has added more security cameras and lights and has also changed the locks.

Family photo day finally arrives. Kathy wants everything done before Artem shows up, but even JJ does not like the idea of a photo with Artem and one without. Suddenly, thunder can be heard in the distance as Brie, Bryan, Birdie and Nikki show up. Everyone heads to the site of the photo when Nikki tells Kathy that Artem has landed. At this point, the wind picks up and it is about to rain, and everybody begins to argue, and the photo doesn't exactly go as planned. Nikki confronts JJ about his comments regarding her favoring Birdie over his kids, and JJ feels his words are being proven right even more. As it starts to rain, Artem shows up, and the truth spills out.

In Los Angeles, Nikki, Kathy and Artem go to a wildlife preserve, with Kathy being here for the purpose of making things right between herself and Artem. The three of them take pictures in front of a giraffe, then enjoy some wine. Kathy explains what was going on with the family photo, and Artem is very understanding of the explanation.

In Phoenix, Arizona, Brie, Nikki and Birdie go to the Children's Museum of Phoenix in an attempt to get Nikki and JJ to make up. Nikki tells JJ that she wants to be in his daughters' lives more and wants to put in more of an effort. JJ understands.

He then welcomes Guevara to fight Jericho's fight for him, but warns him that he will mash him and eat him if he tries before sentencing him to deletion. He then realizes that Jericho did not utter his name due to not knowing how to deal with his broken brilliance, then proposes he speak to another vessel: the normal Matt Hardy, who says that Jericho was so angry at him for having the backing of The Elite, who he has friendship and respect for, because he knows that knocking down the pillars creates chaos, which creates opportunities, which he cannot let happen. He says that AEW is a platform for the future, not for Jericho, and that AEW is trying to keep the future alive. He supports what AEW is doing, and if Guevera wants to fight him, he will kick the ass of everyone in The Inner Circle before he does the same to Jericho.

He promises he will come back, rise from the ashes and become AEW World Heavyweight Champion.

Wardlow beats Lee Johnson.

Backstage, Michael Elgin talks about his career in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling and how his accomplishments there were not good enough, and says he came to Impact to hold a World title that the greatest have worn. Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 20, 2020

Drew McIntyre shows up to start tonight's show. McIntyre welcomes everyone to the show, which he calls the highlight of his week, before addressing Seth Rollins' actions last week. He says that he is not surprised that this happened, as the WWE Championship represents a lot of things to a lot of people and paints a huge bullseye on his chest, as the title's holder is considered the best in the industry. McIntyre says that Rollins wants to be champion, but questions if he is deserving of a title opportunity. He says that while he could make him jump through hoops, Rollins is a decorated champion and he has faced him before. He then gives Rollins the privilege to face him in three weeks' time for the WWE Championship at Money In The Bank. As he continues to address Rollins, Angel Garza shows up with Zelina Vega and Austin Theory. Zelina says that the three of them are tired of McIntyre's "rah-rah" speeches and that Drew is looking past Garza towards Money In The Bank. Suddenly, McIntyre is attacked from behind by Andrade, who is soon clocked with a Claymore Kick. Theory and Garza are hesitant to take on McIntyre after that, and McIntyre knocks Andrade out of the ring with another Claymore Kick.

We hear from Bobby Lashley and Lana. Lashley says he will demonstrate how easy it is to lift a tractor tire.

Nia Jax beats Kairi Sane despite tweaking her left knee during the match.

We hear from Seth Rollins, who admires and respects Drew McIntyre being a fighting champion, as he knows what it is like to be in his shoes and go into the main event of WrestleMania and beat Brock Lesnar in the main event for a championship, unlike most men. He says that they both have a lot in common, and that they garner the respect of their peers and have a deep passion for the industry. Rollins then accepts McIntyre's challenge at Money In The Bank out of duty and necessity, as the fans needs a leader more than ever. Rollins says that he is a proven leader and McIntyre is not, and that he is the one who will sacrifice for the greater good, make the difficult decisions and be the light for the darkness. He says that at Money In The Bank, he will take his title not because he wants to, but because he has to.

We see footage from earlier today of The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) driving around as they chant their own team name and proclaim that they will dominate the tag team division.

Before the next match, MVP says that in his storied career, he has seen a lot of WWE Superstars literally rise and fall in pursuit of the Money In The Bank Briefcase for a championship match contract. Suddenly, he spots a package in the corner of the ring. Alexa denies that the gift is from her, and when Strowman opens the box, he finds the black sheep mask from when he was a part of The Wyatt Family. She says that if Mandy went along with her plan, they would not be here right now. Sonya also says that Dolph Ziggler cared about Mandy, and that Otis is nothing compared to him. She says that Ziggler tried to help them as a team, but Mandy ruined it, and all she wants to do now is to see her hurt. Mandy and Sonya are about to throw down when Ziggler shows up. Ziggler admits he made a huge mistake, but says Mandy cannot deny what they have and that he will make it up to her however he can.
