Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for September 15, 2022

Yuya Uemura beats Raj Singh in the BTI match.

"Speedball" Mike Bailey retains the Impact Wrestling X Division Championship against Mascara Dorada. (Interestingly, the referee loses a shoe during the match.) After the match, Mascara Dorada and Mike Bailey bow to each other in a show of mutual respect, then Kenny King shows up and attacks both men from behind. After pushing Mascara Dorada out of the ring, Kenny King hits Mike Bailey with Royal Flush, then runs as Mascara Dorada gets back in the ring.

We see Eric Young and Deaner with the men in the yellow hoodies. Eric Young has one man step forward and remove his hood. Eric Young asks the man if he knows his name, and when the man reluctantly says "Eric Young," Deaner attacks him. Eric Young asks another man to step forward and ask what his name is. The man says "The designer," which Eric Young approves. Eric Young says he is the designer and that everyone is here to see the revival of violence. He then asks another man and asks for his name. When he says "Justin," Deaner attacks him. Another man then steps forward at his request, and when asked his name, he says "I am violence." Everyone else soon says "I am violence" and repeats the sentence endlessly.

Backstage, Mike Bailey is met by Scott D'Amore. Bailey says he is fine after Kenny King's attack, and D'Amore praises Bailey for his successful X Division Championship defenses. D'Amore then says he has a new challenge at Victory Road, and tells him that he will defend the title against Delirious. He then announces that there will also be a Triple Threat Revolver Match where other challengers will face off for a shot at the title. D'Amore says that Yuya Uemura, Kenny King, Black Taurus, Mia Yim, Laredo Kid and Frankie Kazarian all want to face him for the X Division Championship.

Decay (Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus) beat Steve Maclin and Moose after Moose heckles a fan. After the match, Sami Callihan shows up, and says that as much as he would like to see them beat each other up, he knows that they are still working together in some capacity and shows a video where Moose is talking to his lawyer. In the footage, Moose tells his lawyer that he plans on screwing Maclin over in the end, then Sami says that Moose will throw Maclin under the bus. Maclin says that is the past and that there is a new deal, and nothing will stop them from tearing him apart. Sami then says he came prepared, and provides another video where Maclin is talking on a cellphone, telling someone that he will put a slug in Moose's head before Moose stabs him in the back. Moose and Maclin brawl in and out of the ring, then Sami Callihan attacks Maclin from behind before pulling a barbed wire baseball bat out form underneath the ring. Maclin inadvertently knocks Moose out of the apron before Sami hits him with the barbed wire bat. Maclin is forced to roll out of the ring before Sami can hit him again.

Decay (Rosemary, Taya Valkyrie, Jessicka) meet at a bar. Rosemary blames Jessicka for Taya's loss last week, but Jessicka says it is Rosemary's fault. Taya sides with Jessicka, and says that Rosemary's tiff with Jessicka led to this. Jessicka says she is ready, but Rosemary says she needs to prove it. Taya says she has an idea.

Tasha Steelz guests on commentary for the next match.

Killer Kelly beats Alisha Edwards with the Killer Clutch. After the match, Killer Kelly stares down Tasha Steelz, and when Tasha sics Savannah evans at her to hit her with a steel chair, Kelly stomps the chair. When Tasha grabs the chair, Kelly drags the chair - and Tasha - into the ring for another staredown. Tasha Steelz slowly crawls out of the ring.

We see a vignette where somebody has been attacked with a chair. At the hospital, the man struggles to say the name of the person who threw the chair, then Joe Hendry shows up, his theme plays, and everyone claps as the man on the bed dies happily. Joe Hendry is returning to Impact Wrestling.

Honor No More (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) retain the Impact Wrestling World Tag Team Championships against "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander and Rich Swann. During the match, Eddie Edwards runs into the ring, but Josh Alexander is able to keep Matt Taven from winning. Maria Kanellis-Bennett distracts the referee as Josh Alexander goes for an ankle lock on Matt Taven, but Taven rolls through and Eddie Edwards clocks Alexander in the head with a Kendo stick. Mike Bennett then tries to distract the referee, then stops when Heath gets in the ring to hit Taven with the wake-up call, which the referee is able to turn around and see, leading to the disqualification win for Taven and Bennett.

Backstage, Jordynne Grace finds a message from Masha Slamovich saying "Masha's Gonna Kill You" when Johnny Swinger and Zicky Dice show up with a very large pizza and a black envelope meant for Jordynne. Inside is a black-and-white photo of Maxx The Impaler, Jordynne's opponent in her "Pick Your Poison" match at Victory Road. When Zicky and Swinger both say that Masha is going to kill Jordynne, Jordynne takes a slice of their pizza and slaps Zicky in the face with it.

Backstage, Heath apologizes to Josh Alexander and Rich Swann. Scott D'Amore shows up and says that Honor No More is getting old, and praises Heath for the Wake Up Call on Matt Taven and praises Alexander and Swann for being on the same page. Scott D'Amore says Heath, Alexander and Swann can all get on the same page for their match against Matt Taven, Mike Bennett and Eddie Edwards at Victory Road.

Mickie James beats Hyan. After the match, "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw shows up and upstages Mickie James, then asks if it has come down to Mickie James begging for matches against "nobodies" just to delay the inevitable and hold on to her spotlight a little bit longer. Gisele tells Mickie that her time is up, and if she wants to know if she can still hang, then they can have a match at Victory Road. Mickie James accepts, and Gisele tells Mickie that her time in the spotlight is over because the spotlight has always been hers.

We see Vincent talking to PCO. He takes the black bag off of PCO's head and says he does not like seeing PCO get hurt after asking him if he likes getting hurt, then tells him to imagine a sword swallower putting a sword in his mouth, pulling out his heart and dying. He asks PCO who is there to give a sword swallower a hand on the stage, then says the two of them are Honor No More before putting the bag back on his head.

We hear from Brian Myers. He says that when one is young and hungry and have gotten a taste of success, one does not want it to end. He says he accomplished a lot at 23 years old, then he fell off and has been going up and down ever since. He climbs a ladder as he says that Bhupinder Gujjar has been climbing and will soon be crashing down thanks to him. Both men will be in a ladder match for the Impact Wrestling Digital Media Championship next week.

The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) beat The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) to face Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis) next week. Both teams perform the "Too Sweet" hand gesture after the match.
