Roman Reigns beats Daniel Bryan by disqualification when Kane gets hit with a cheap shot by Reigns, who fires back at him in return. Kane and Daniel Bryan argue as they leave.

Damien Sandow is back again, bashing the fans for "trading Wayne Gretzky for nothing." He's also back with the thimble game. Sheamus comes out and plans to beat Damien Sandow at his own game. Sheamus guesses wrong the first time, but Sandow gives him another chance only to fail again. Sandow refuses to take his hand off the third cup, and Sheamus demands he remove the hand from the cup. He eventually does...and there's nothing under it, either. Sheamus throws the cups at Sandow before hitting him with a Brogue Kick.

Paul Heyman puts Curtis Axel on a pedestal before the latter' smatch against Sin Cara. Axel says Triple H couldn't continue, and that John Cena was scared of him and ran away. As far as he's concerned, being a Paul Heyman guy is...perfect.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for May 30, 2013

Sting talks about how important taking the TNA World Heavyweight Championship back is.

Bully Ray wants AJ Styles to pay for his actions last week. When D'Lo Brown tells Mr. Anderson he's sorry his plan didn't work out, Anderson attacks him from behind.

Bully Ray and Devon enter the ring. In three days, Aces and Eights will dominate. Bully Ray makes fun of Sting accepting his stipulation, saying Sting didn't give it much thought. Sting may have been the best for the big one, but he won't beat Bully to get the world title again.

Joseph Park and Sting beat Bully Ray and Devon when Abyss's music hits and distracts Bully. Abyss never shows, but Park and Sting take advantage of the situation.

Kurt Angle still considers AJ Styles's actions from last wek unforgivable. There is still some mutual respect, but Kurt Angle's got his eye on him until Slammiversary...

Dixie Carter shows up. She talks about the next induction into the TNA Hall of Fame, then wishes Sting luck. Garett Bischoff, D.O.C. and Wes Brisco of Aces and Eights show up and basically put her down for not siding with Bully Ray. They corner her, but Samoa Joe and Magnus scare them off. Joe then challenges Garett to a match right now for running his mouth. Garett gets in the ring.

Aces and Eights (D.O.C., Wes Brisco, Garett Bischoff) attack Magnus, ending the match. Samoa Joe gets them all with a high-risk back-first rolling dive, then calls them all cowards. At Slammiversary, it's the three "cowards" versus Joe, Magnus...and Jeff Hardy!

Hulk Hogan tells Brooke not to give in to Bully Ray. Thankfully, she knows he's doing wrong with the "I love you's," but it's hard to concentrate on the Knockouts division with him around. Hulk Hogan is now pulling for Sting more than ever.

Gunner, "The Cowboy" James Storm, Hernandez and Chavo Guerrero beat Austin Aries, Bobby Roode and Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian) in an eight-man tag match.

As AJ Styles arrives, Bully Ray has to do damage control. They must dominate at Slammiversary as they declare war on Impact Wrestling. Bully wants victims...or else!

Mickie James says it's great to be champ again, and she thanks the fans for their support. It's been a long time coming, but it was worth it. She then addresses how she won through taking advantage of Velvet Sky's bum knee, and she does this by calling out Velvet Sky, who shows up. They both come to common ground, as Velvet asks for a rematch at Slammiversary. Sadly, there's already a Knockouts match for that night, but Velvet Sky is still more than welcome to one. Gail Kim shows up and says that after she takes out Taryn Terrell, she's going for the gold again. When Velvet tells Gail to get in line, Gail attacks her bad knee yet again. Terrell has to run in and stop her, but Gail escapes before Taryn can get in the ring.

Chris Sabin and Taryn Terrell beat Gail Kim and Kenny King. When Sabin says he'll win the X Division title on Sunday, Kenny King attacks him. Suicide then comes to the ring and takes out King. Suicide then picks up the X Division title and stares down Sabin.

Kurt Angle attacks AJ Styles during the latter's match against Mr. Anderson. AJ takes out Angle, but Aces and Eights show up and attack AJ. In turn, Sting and Team TNA show up to fight Aces and Eights as AJ and Kurt fight each other until they take the brawl back to the locker room. The ring is eventually cleared, and Sting and Bully go at it. Devon attacks Sting from behind, however, and this sets the stage for a 3D to Sting. Aces and Eights salute to the audience as the show ends.

Here's that Slammiversary XI card again, by the way.

My predictions for TNA Slammiversary XI

Here's a first. Instead of a WWE pay-per-view, I decided to do a predictions entry for Slammiversary XI, which is happening in three days.

Bully Ray vs Sting

No Holds Barred Match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship

This is it. It's Sting's one and only shot. If Sting loses, he will never be able to wrestle for the world title again. Everyone's pulling for him, and Bully Ray will be pulling out all the stops to make sure he doesn't win.

My prediction: Sting. It's now or never. If he can wrest the title from him, it will be not only be a brand new chapter for TNA, it'll be a new chapter in the war against Aces & Eights. He has to do it.

AJ Styles vs Kurt Angle

After all that's happened ever since AJ Styles came back as a lone wolf, Kurt Angle is one very, very angry wrestling cyborg, especially when AJ keeps attacking him. It's the war to settle the score!

My prediction: Close one, but I'm expecting Kurt Angle to come out on top...barely.

Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez

vs

Bad Influence

(Christopher Daniels and Kazarian)

vs

Bobby Roode and Austin Aries

vs

"The Cowboy" James Storm and Gunnar

Four-Way Elimination Tag Team Match for the TNA Tag Team Championships

Oh, wow. How this has evolved. We haven't seen Gunnar in months, and now he's come back as a bearded power machine. He and Storm have less experience as a unit than anyone else, but could they win it all?

My prediction: Storm and Gunnar. Definitely wanting these two guys to win it. Storm hasn't held gold in quite some time, and while I like Bad Influence as well as Roode/Aries, I'd like to see the underdog win this one.

Devon vs Joseph Park

for the TNA Television Championship

Devon is defending the TV title? About time.

My prediction: The TV title needs to be interesting again. Ever since Devon got his hands back on it, the weekly TV title defense is dead. This is Park's first true major test as a wrestler. Devon's got the experience, but Park has the heart and soul, and it's all going down to who wants it more. I'm going for Park.

Kenny King vs Suicide vs Chris Sabin

Ultimate X Match for the TNA X Division Championship

Chris Sabin is back after two torn ACLs and Suicide is back after a two-year absence. Watch your back, Kenny. You've got some real opponents now.

My prediction: It's hard to count any of these men out. I think Sabin might get it in the end. It's not just that he deserves it, though. He's been coming back in grand form much like Suicide has, but he is really winning matches. That momentum could be the deciding point.

Gail Kim vs Taryn Terrell

Last Knockout Standing match

Kim has the experience. Taryn has the drive. These two have been going at each other's throats for months, and I have to admit that this was the last way I'd think that this would be decided. Still, you've got to give the match some attention somehow, right?

My prediction: I think Gail Kim might win this one. With all due respect, Taryn is still a little green at this point.

Jay Bradley vs Sam Shaw

TNA Gut Check Winner Tournament Finals

Winner goes on to Bound For Glory 2013

I really don't know much about these two guys, to be honest...so I'm leaving this completely up to chance. Still, whoever wins this gets to go on to take on some real competition in TNA.

My prediction: Jay Bradley. Just because.

Aces and Eights

(Wes Brisco, D.O.C. and Garett Bischoff)

vs

Samoa Joe, Magnus and Jeff Hardy

Well, this is interesting. This one was just made on the last weekly episode before the pay-per-view. Didn't expect Jeff Hardy to come back so soon, and not in a match such as this either. Now that all three men are back and healthy again, will they take out the cowardly lower echelon of this biker group-turned-wrestling stable?

My predictions: My hope is that they will. They're back, and they're more focused on doing what they need to do. Hopefully this will be enough for Joe, Magnus and Hardy to get the win.

And there you have it! My predictions for Slammiversary XI!

Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 27, 2013

John Cena enters the ring. He knows his match with Ryback at Extreme Rules ended in controversy, and says Ryback's Ambulance match challenge was a knee-jerk reaction. Cena suggests a Three Stages of Hell match for Payback. The first match is a Lumberjack match, the second a Tables match, and the third an Ambulance match. Ryback shows up and accepts, telling Cena that he himself is hell. Paul Heyman then shows up and brings out Curtis Axel. Both men respect Cena as a fighting champion after what has just transpired, and challenge Cena to a fight with Axel later tonight. After Cena makes fun of Heyman and tells Axel he got lucky, he accepts.

Despite AJ Lee's interference by untying a turnbuckle pad, Big E Langston still couldn't beat Alberto Del Rio. Big E isn't very thrilled as AJ tells him she was trying to help.

Kane tries to tell Daniel Bryan he's not the weak link and that toughness has nothing to do with size. Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up and tells Bryan exactly what Kane's been trying to tell him after he stops him and Kane from arguing with each other. When Kane asks D-Bry why he won't listen to him, D-Bry replies "That's Bret Hart. You're...you're just Kane."

Dean Ambrose retains the WWE United States Championship against Kofi Kingston. As he, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins celebrate, Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan and Kane) show up and clean house! The tag team title rematch is next!

Thanks to a miscommunication between Daniel Bryan and Kane with D-Bry caught up with trying to prove he's not the weak link, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns retain the WWE Tag Team Championships.

The Miz is now in the ring. Will he be guest ring announcer, guest commentator or guest referee for the next match? Vote on the WWE App now!

Wade Barrett loses to Fandango when The Miz gets between both men, causing Barrett to toss Miz across the ring. In return, Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale on Barrett, and Fandango gets the win. Miz then pushes Summer Rae into Fandango, and counts to three for the "pin."

"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels asks John Cena if he's ready, then tells him not to go through with tonight's challenge. Cena doesn't listen. (Yes, this was HBK with a beard. I kid you not.)

Tons of Funk (Brodus Clay and Tensai) and The Great Khali beat 3MB (Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, Jinder Mahal). May they never mess with Hornswoggle again. After the match, Khali wishes Natalya a happy birthday.

It's Highlight Reel time! Chris Jericho's guest this time in Paul Heyman, who has discovered many talents in the wrestling world, including Jericho. Jericho wants to know about CM Punk and when he will return. After some hilarious dialogue, Heyman says there will be an announcement in the coming weeks concerning Punk's return. That's not good enough for Jericho, who wants a match against Punk at Payback. After toying with Heyman's emotions, Heyman accepts on Punk's behalf.

The Bella Twins (Nicole and Brie Bella) beat Natalya and Kaitlyn by tricking Kaitlyn into Spearing Natalya. They then make fun of Natalya's birthday.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart meets with Curtis Axel. Bret tells Axel to dump Paul Heyman, but Axel won't listen, saying Heyman was the only one who gave a crap about him.

The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan) are coming!

Sheamus and Randy Orton beat Team Rhodes Scholars (Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes).

As John Cena fights Curtis Axel, and an ambulance shows up. Axel wins by count-out as Cena examines the ambulance only to be attacked from behind by Ryback. Ryback almost sends Cena through the LED lighting, but Cena outsmarts Ryback this time.

Happy Memorial Day!

Layin' da SmackDown! - SmackDown recap for May 24, 2013

It's Miz TV time! His guest tonight is Fandango. Footage of Fandango leaving Wade Barrett high and dry Monday night is replayed, and Miz questions Fandango's inflated ego. Wade Barrett shows up and threatens to destroy "the ballerina" if he crosses his path...and is then reminded by the Miz that he is defending his Intercontinental title against Miz tonight. Wade punches Miz. Both men brawl. The refs break it up.

Fandango guests on commentary for the next match...and dances, irritating The Miz.

The Miz beats Wade Barrett by disqualification when Fandango attacks Miz and assaults him...only for Fandango to eat a Bull Hammer from Barrett, who retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Kane tries to reconcile with Daniel Bryan, but is instantly misunderstood, with D-Bry saying he is not the weak link of the team.

Daniel Bryan beats Jack Swagger with the No Lock. The ref and Kane have to let him go...the he locks it in again and Kane has to break it up once more. Daniel Bryan is looking rather tense after the match.

Damien Sandow is in the ring. He makes fun of both Mark Henry and Sheamus's competitive antics. He then mentions the legend of the Gordian Knot. which he has on the table. Matt Striker, also in the ring, looks at it and gives up. Sheamus shows up as Sandow makes fun of Striker. Sheamus wants to solve the knot problem, but Sandow won't let him. He takes the knot away from him and cuts it with a tree branch cutter. It's all one rope, after all. Sheamus almost Brogue Kicks Sandow, but Sandow gets away, making fun of Sheamus "using brute force when he couldn't figure it out." Sheamus then teaches Sandow about Newton's Law. After kicking the rope to Sandow and then throwing Striker into Sandow (who is still outside of the ring), he says that what goes up must come down.

Chris Jericho beats Big Show by count-out with an epic Codebreaker. Big Show tries to attack Jericho with a chair, but Jericho is still able to retaliate!

Everyone has a Sonic shake. Again.

Paul Heyman and Curtis Axel show up. Heyman tells us about how Axel is the next big thing, while Axel brags about how he "beat" Triple H on Monday.

Curtis Axel beats Sin Cara.

The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) gang up on Kofi Kingston, who retains his United States title by disqualification against Dean Ambrose. Sheamus and Randy Orton save Kofi, and Teddy Long makes a 6-man tag match between Kofi, Sheamus and Orton vs The Shield!

The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) beat Kofi Kingston, Sheamus and Randy Orton.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for May 23, 2013

Hulk Hogan enters the ring. He's not letting AJ Styles's defection bother him, because he knows who his real family is. He calls out Sting who shows up. Hulk appreciates what Sting did, but he didn't have to put part of his future on the line. Sting says he needs just one shot (the correct word is "has") and that if he can't beat Bully Ray, he doesn't deserve the World title. Hulk reminds him he runs the show, not Bully. Brooke Hogan shows up, and says she's to blame for all of this, as she put a wedge between Hulk and Sting after what happened at Lockdown. Hulk wants her to move forward, but Brooke still feels guilt. Bully Ray shows up and says it's all him, but it's Brooke's fault he's still in love with her and still thinks of her. He goes on to say he will always love her before he walks away.

Kenny King guests on commentary for the next match.

A returning Suicide beats Petey Williams and Joey Ryan, pinning Ryan. Ryan is substituting for Zema Ion, who is out with a nasty bout of appendicitis. Suicide goes on to the X Division title match at Slammiversary XI.

Chris Sabin asks James Storm if he can tag with him at Slammiversary XI. Storm respectfully declines, saying he doesn't want to take away from the opportunity for Sabin to become a big solo star in the X Division and become champion over there.

Brooke Hogan wants an explanation from Bully Ray about earlier. He makes it clear: he still loves her.

Mickie James is conerned about Velvet Sky, but Velvet says she'll fight regardless of her bum knee.

Before Sam Shaw can face Alex Silva, Wes Brisco, Garret Bischoff and DOC show up. Brisco admits he and his buddies attacked Silva, and that Wes deserves to be in the Gut Check Bound For Glory tournament. The three of them assault Sam Shaw to show him "just how lucky he is." Magnus runs them off, and tells Wes Brisco he's made the battle between him and Aces and Eights personal for attacking his friend Sam Shaw. He goes to say that all Wes deserves is a beating, right here, right now!

As Magnus fights Wes Brisco, DOC and Garett Bischoff help Brisco assault Magnus...but Samoa Joe returns and saves the day!

At Slammiversary, another man will be in the TNA Hall of Fame. Who will it be?

Bully Ray congratulates Wes Brisco, and says AJ Styles will not disappoint.

Kurt Angle heads to Grand Central Station in New York as part of an amateur wrestling show to help save Olympic wrestling!

AJ Styles is here...

AJ Styles stands with Tazz, and Mr. Anderson hits Kurt Angle with a low blow behind his and the ref's back. Mr. Anderson beats Kurt Angle.

James Storm comes out. After talking about his legacy as a tag team champ, Bobby Roode and Austin Aries show up, and Roode says his time with Storm in Beer MOneyw as the worst four years of his career and his life. Then Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian) show up and gloat about how they're better than everyone else. Then Shark Boy comes out and wants to be James Storm's partner. Robbie E comes out wanting the same. Then a mysterious man with full facial hair comes out and levels them both. The announcers identify him as Gunnar, who hasn't been on TNA TV in months. James tells Gunnar "See you at Slammiversary," confirming Gunnar as his partner in ten days.

Gail Kim says she'll continue to take out Knockouts as she deserves the title shot and not Mickie James. Taryn Terrell runs at her at full speed and takes her out.

Mickie James takes advantage of Velvet Sky's bum knee to beat Velvet and win the TNA Knockouts Championship!

Aces and Eights propose a toast to Mr. Anderson and AJ Styles.

Aces and Eights enter the ring. They ridicule D'Lo Brown, then praise Mr. Anderson. Bully Ray then calls out AJ Styles, who shows up. Bully tthen gives a beer to AJ, who chugs it down quickly before he gets his colors. Before he can put him on, Kurt Angle shows up and tells AJ his legacy is going down the toilet before he tells him to go ahead and put the colors on if it's what he was. AJ Styles does just that, then Angle runs in to the ring only to get beat down. Bully Ray gives AJ the hammer to hit Angle with as the rest of Aces and Eights hold Angle back, and AJ cleans Angle's clock. When the rest of Aces and Eights salute the audience, AJ takes the hammer and beats down a few members of Aces and Eights with it before running off. It was a trick all along. AJ Styles rides alone.

Wednesday Night's Main Event - Main Event recap from May 22, 2013

Alberto Del Rio beats Big E Langston by reversing the Big Ending into an Enziguri to the back of Langston's head.

John Cena will be back at next week's Raw.

Ryback shows up from the inside of an ambulance as The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) fight Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre of 3MB. He takes out Heath Slater and throws him into the ambulance as everyone else stares in disbelief. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) beat Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre of 3MB.

Also, this is the shortest thing I've probably ever written. Heck, this is probably slightly shorter than those Saturday Morning Slam recaps. Let's celebrate with CM Punk!

Monday, May 20, 2013

Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 20, 2013

An ambulance rolls into the arena. Ryback comes out of the back door. There was no real winner, but Cena was carried out on a stretcher. Ryback says he won't let Cena get out of that stretcher next time, and he wants an Ambulance match against him at Payback. He then bashes the WWE Universe, saying they have nothing in common with him and that they worship Cena.

Paul Heyman will reveal his newest client tonight!

Fandango leaves Wade Barrett high and dry to dance with Summer Rae, and it costs Barrett...The Miz and Chris Jericho beat Barrett and Fandango after Miz locks the Figure Four Leg Lock on Barrett. Miz goes after Fandango, while Jericho takes Summer Rae by the hand and twirls her around only to diss her seconds later.

Vickie Guerrero shows up. Jack Swagger will be in a match against either The Great Khali, R-Truth or Randy Orton. The opponent will be voted on later through the WWE App!

Kane tells Daniel Bryan not to show weakness against The Shield. This causes D-Bry to argue with Kane, and Kofi Kingston has to break the argument up.

Sheamus beats Titus O'Neil...who also says a very naughty word during the match. "You think you're fucking tough?" Thankfully, the offending word was caught and silenced out.

Paul Heyman enters the ring and gloats about Brock Lesnar's win, and says Lesnar has fulfilled his obligations. He now has a new client: Michael McGillicutty, who is now renamed Curtis Axel. The name is a reference to his father Curt Hennig, and his grandfather Larry "The Axe" Hennig. (His real name is the less-impressive sounding Joe Hennig.) Triple H shows up and says he was toying with the idea of beating up Heyman, but Axel says he has to go through him to go through Heyman. Triple H slaps him and then decides to have a match with Axel before beating up Heyman.

Kaitlyn then attacks AJ and both women go at it until the refs break it up.

Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter blame the current Internal Revenue Service scandal on the WWE Universe, and bashes the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team for having too many foreign-born players, calling them the "Caribbean Cardinals." Colter says Swagger will win against Alberto Del Rio before they hunt for Dolph Ziggler.

Show says he doesn't need any weapons, but Randy says everyone will remember him beating Show at Extreme Rules in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter show up, and Colter talks about how Swagger will become #1 contender for the World title. Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez show up, and Del Rio tells Colter it's not happening. "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry showss up and says everyone will remember whipping Sheamus all across the ring and that he's the World's Strongest Man. Sheamus shows up and says "Why wait until Sunday to leave a memory?" Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio and Randy Orton clean house immediately.

Teddy Long shows up and puts Big Show, Jack Swagger and Big Show in a six-man tag match against Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus and Randy Orton in the main event tonight!

The Shield (Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns) beat The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso), then one of the Usos gets attacked by them and Dean Ambrose only for Kofi Kingston to delay and then prevent the seemingly inevitable after getting back in the ring with a steel chair. The Shield (Ambrose, Rollins, Reigns) retreat.

Teddy Long congratulates The Miz for his return and stirring the pot for the main event tonight, but Damien Sandow shows up and tells Miz to buzz off before pitching his own idea: "The Damien Sandow Show." Instead, he gets a match against Miz later tonight from Teddy. Ouch.

Tons of Funk (Brodus Clay and Tensai) beat The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil).

Chris Jericho beats Antonio Cesaro with the Walls of Jericho. Summer Rae tries to distract Jericho with Fandango's entrance as Fandango tries to attack Jericho from behind. He fails miserably, and Cesaro walks into a Codebreaker from Jericho.

Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter want to know why extreme things are happening and want to know the truth. Zeb then goes on to say that Swagger will come out on top, and that "real Americans" never quit.

Cody Rhodes guests on commentary for the next match.

The Miz beats Damien Sandow with the Figure Four Leg Lock after foiling Cody Rhodes's distraction attempt.

Kaitlyn beats Aksana.

Randy Orton, Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus beat Big Show, Jack Swagger and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry.

My predictions for Extreme Rules

Welp, it's that time again. Time to predict the results for Extreme Rules!

Pre-Show

The Miz vs. Cody Rhodes

The Miz on pre-show again? C'mon, let him do something on the actual card for once.

My prediction: The Miz. Only throwing this out because I don't even care which man wins.

"I Quit" Match for #1 Contendership of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger

Since Dolph Ziggler has been taken out of action as well as out of the Triple Threat match with a concussion leading to retrograde amnesia, this is now a #1 Contender match for Ziggler's title...and this time, there's a stipulation...which doesn't involve a ladder, which makes Alberto Del Rio's earned choice of stipulation and the match between Ricardo, Zeb Colter and Big E Langston absolutely pointless.

My prediction: Jack Swagger will probably get his win back, considering that Del Rio beat him at 'Mania.

Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Championship

John Cena vs. Ryback

Ryback has turned heel. He wants John Cena's WWE title after being supposedly betrayed by Cena time and time again. To be honest, I wanted this to happen. Now it's reality. At least it's better than kicking The Rock around for another month.

My prediction: Ryback. I really, really want him to win this. He's been screwed out of the title too many times. Plus, he's a little better on the mic now.

Steel Cage Match

Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar won at SummerSlam. Triple H won at WrestleMania and kept his career intact. Now it's time to finally settle the score and finish this once and for all!

My prediction: Triple H. Both men have nothing to lose. If Triple H wins, maybe Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman will shut up for a while.

Strap Match

Mark Henry vs. Sheamus

Mark Henry attacked Sheamus a few times. Sheamus returned the favor. Now both men are settling the score in a strap match. Sheesh, why is it always the same men going after each other at different points in time?

My prediction: Sheamus. Just 'cause.

Extreme Rules Match

Big Show vs. Randy Orton

After Big Show turned on Randy Orton and Sheamus, it was only predictable that Randy Orton goes after him because he was the one who okayed Show being on their WrestleMania team against The Shield. Big Show says he doesn't need weapons to win, but I doubt it.

My prediction: Randy Orton. Somehow he's going to get a win out of nowhere, and this time it just might look like it'll come out of nowhere.

Chris Jericho vs. Fandango

Yep, this again. Chris Jericho and Fandango continue to grab at each other's throats. The dance-offs and practical jokes are over.

My prediction: I'm thinking Jericho just might get his win back after suffering defeat at 'Mania.

For the WWE United States Championship

Kofi Kingston vs. Dean Ambrose

Finally, they're giving a member of The Shield a title shot. This just might be Ambrose's big break, but he's got to beat Kofi to do it.

My prediction: Dean Ambrose. I love The Shield. They're unstoppable as a team, and now it's time to see if they can get the job done solo. If Ambrose can win the title, this just might be proof that they can do it.

Tornado Tag Team Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships

Team Hell No

Daniel Bryan and Kane

vs.

Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns

The Shield

I spoke too soon! All three members of The Shield are going for titles. At least this one makes more sense, as The Shield were going after Team Hell No a couple of times throughout the month.

My prediction: Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. I'm sorry, but Team Hell No just aren't as interesting as they once were, now that they're all business and they're both on the same page. They've held the belts since September. I think it's time the tag team belts switched hands, especially with the March 19th thing going on (look it up, you'll get a better explanation from Google than me).

There you have it! My predictions for Extreme Rules! Feel free to leave a comment!

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for May 16, 2013

The show starts with Hulk Hogan. He tells AJ Styles to join Aces and Eights, because "Who cares?" Kurt Angle will take on AJ at Slammiversary. Also, the contract signing for Bully Ray and Sting's World title match will also take place tonight. He then calls Abyss out to thank him for last week, but Joseph Park comes out instead and is amazed his brother Chris (y'know, Abyss) showed up while he was recuperating at home. Hulk asks Joseph where Abyss is when Devon and D'Lo Brown show up. They want Abyss as they believe Abyss helped Sting and Kurt Angle cheat. A pissed Park challenges Devon to a match, but Devon wants Park to prove himself. D'Lo wants Park. Hogan makes it so, and if Park wins he can challenge Devon anytime he wants.

James Storm has plans for Bobby Roode, Austin Aries and Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian)...

Bobby Roode beats Chavo Guerrero by disqualification after "The Cowboy" James Storm spits beer in Roode's face. Roode slowly backs out of the ring as "The Cowboy" eyes him.

Kurt Angle enters the ring. For a year, nobody seems to be trustworthy due to Aces and Eights. He's happy to take on AJ Styles at Slammiversary, but he calls out AJ so he can beat him up now. Mr. Anderson of Aces and Eights shows up and tells him - and everyone - that AJ Styles will be "patched in" next week, meaning that Styles is joining Aces and Eights. When Anderson dares Angle to show up so the club can destroy him, Angle beats up Anderson only to meet up with AJ, who proceeds to kick Angle in the head with a single-leg drop kick.

We meet TNA Gut Check winner Jay Bradley. He's ready to step his game up.

It's a four-team tag team match for the tag titles at Slammiversary!

Joseph Park beats D'Lo Brown when D'Lo Brown bloodies Park up, making him angry...causing D'Lo to eat a Black Hole Slam!

The contract signing between Sting and Bully Ray for their match at Slammiversary occurs. Bully Ray calls out Sting, then calls out Hulk Hogan. Sting tells Bully Ray to make him bleed before he does the same to Bully Ray, and asks for a no-holds-barred match. Bully accepts, but only if he signs the contract, which states that if Sting loses, he can never compete for the World title again. Hulk Hogan tells him not to do it, but Sting accepts. Sting and Bully then beat each other up.

After trash talk from both men, the dance-off begins. Bad luck befalls Summer Rae when she tweaks her ankle. When both Edyta and Jericho check on her, Fandango (who is leaving the ring) turns back around, rushes into the ring and beats Jericho up. He then goes to Summer Rae, who reveals she faked her injury the entire time.

Teddy Long, with the authority vested in him by Vickie Guerrero, has an announcement concerning the World Heavyweight title match at Extreme Rules, but Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger butt in to try to get Dolph Ziggler stripped of the title. Big E Langston and AJ Lee also butt in, and both pairs argue with each other. Due to Dolph's concussion last week on SmackDown, the match at Extreme Rules will be a #1 contender's "I Quit" match between Swagger and Alberto Del Rio. Big E Langston also has a match against a mystery opponent tonight. That opponent will be voted on later tonight. Will it be Del Rio or Swagger?

When Triple H enters the ring, the steel cage comes down towards the ring.

After the break, Triple H - now in a cage - talks about the ring has made him what he is and how it made him learn to hate. He dares Brock Lesnar to take his "home." Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman show up, and Triple H dares Lesnar to get in the ring. Heyman decides to play semantics with Triple H's words before promising Lesnar will teach him the true meaning of "hate." Lesnar may be ready for a fight, but that fight will have to wait until Sunday. Triple H figures out that Lesnar won't stand face-to-face with him like a man because Heyman can't afford to, and uses reverse psychology to lure Lesnar towards him. Both men beat each other down and the door is shut, but Triple H throws Lesnar through the cage door. Lesnar retreats.

He then puts D'Lo in the spotlight, and tells him to turn in his jacket for saying "I quit" to Kurt Angle last week. The "cut" has to be forced off of him, and Bully Ray tells him that D.O.C. had better beat Magnus for his sake if he wants his "cut" back.

Despite D'Lo Brown's interference attempts, Magnus beats D.O.C.

Aces and Eights almost beat D'Lo Brown's head in with a hammer, but Mr. Anderson has an idea: bust him down to prospect status.
