When asked what "Something" means, Jake Something says "Something" was a response to people saying he would never be anything, but he built himself up, and now he is something. When Gabby LaSpisa asks Jake if he feels like something, Jake Something feels as if he was mocked, then shows his irritation with Cody Deaner costing him last week's match. Cody Deaner shows up and says he should not be angry at the fans here, then mentions that they are cousins and that Jake is angry at people from his past, and that the people here are with him and that he is with him. Before the next match, Joe Hendry says tonight is a momentum occasion because for the first time, all of the champions are in the same match at the same time, and while it is exciting, it is also concerning, as it is the perfect site for an outbreak of "Hendry-Mania." He says that he has just gotten off the phone with the Surgeon General, and to control the symptoms, one must incessantly chant "We Believe."

Joe Hendry, "The Hollywood Hunk" Ryan Nemeth, Spitfire (Dani Luna and Jody Threat), Sami Callihan, Eric Young, Steph de Lander and "Broken" Matt Hardy beat The System (Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Brian Myers, Moose), Masha Slamovich, Laredo Kid, Mustafa Ali and Jordynne Grace in the sixteen-person Champions Challenge. Adam Copeland is about to head to the ring when he is attacked by Brody King and Buddy Matthews, with Malakai Black watching from not far behind. They get a metal folding chair, and Buddy and Brody hold Copeland down as Malakai says he does not care why Copeland maintains a facade of what he thinks he is, then tells Buddy to take Copeland's wedding ring. He and Buddy place chairs next to a downed Copeland when Kyle O'Reilly rushes in. O'Reilly fights off Malakai and Buddy, but he is clotheslined by Brody. Hook says he wants the spotlight on Jericho when he beats him for the FTW Championship tonight. Jericho says this is a teaching moment, not a fighting moment, and tells Hook that the world does not revolve around him and that he should be less selfish like him. Jericho says he and Big Bill are here to entertain everyone tonight, and tells Hook that he must work his way back up when he loses a championship and that he and a few others will have a qualifying match, and if Hook wins, he has the chance to face him again. Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Hook and Katsuyori Shibata. Hook says the odds could not mean less to him, and he will do what it takes to face Chris Jericho again. Shibata asks Hook if that means beating him, as he wants another shot at Jericho. Hook says that is fine by him, then Samoa Joe shows up and says he thought Hook was something special until Jericho had him at Shibata's neck, and tells him that if they would stop getting at each other throats, they would be dangerous in AEW. Hook tells Joe he will fight him, and Shibata says Joe is too large to be wearing a floral pattern.

He tells him that he has done the Tiger Driver '91 on people he has loved and respected and admits he has no respect for Roddy as Roddy has none for him. Roddy says Ospreay is right about that, as he is talented in the ring and an idiot out of it, and while Ospreay has a wife and child, he still acts like the same immature little boy. He says his neck injured, but he does not quit, and he does not care what people think of Ospreay because he knows Ospreay is a fraud. Ospreay says Roddy will learn a lesson after looking down at him for years when he shows him why he is on another level.

Renee Paquette moderates a contract signing between Mercedes Moné and Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship at Double or Nothing. Mercedes arrives first, followed by Willow. Willow says she respects Mercedes and everything she has done in her career, but she wants to know if she respect the TBS Championship, which celebrates the legacy of professional wrestling over the last fifty years on a foundation built on fighting. She says that she is the face of TBS, and that "Nothing matters, smile anyway" means that her smile is her strength and that the TBS Championship matters, and she will not let Mercedes take the title from her. She then signs the contract. Mercedes says "Money changes everything" is a fact, not a catchphrase, as she was changing the game while Willow was still training and breaking glass ceilings as she made her way to the top. Mercedes tells Willow that she respects her and that she is a great champion, but there is a difference between being great and being the greatest of all time. She says that she is the new face of TBS, and while the best part of Willow's career was beating her, her loss to her at Double or Nothing will still be the best part of her career, as her legacy is all about winning. Mercedes signs the contract. Willow reminds Mercedes that she walked out as champion while Mercedes did not walk out at all last time they wrestled. Mercedes slaps Willow, starting a brawl, and Willow responds with a Doctor Bomb through the table.

He says that Wes' trials and tribulations prove that Wes has the heart of a lion and the spirit of a warrior, but he is an actual warrior that Wes cannot conquer. He tells Wes that if he wants a title shot, he must prove himself for an opportunity. Wes says Oba checks all the box of what a champion is supposed to look like, and as Wes says that he may not check as many boxes, Ivar shows up and says everyone is happy to have Wes back, including him, as he has been through a career-ending injury. Ivar says that when he came back, he had to fight for everything he got, and says that he knows Wes is not afraid to do the same. He says they both want a shot at Oba Femi before Josh Briggs shows up. He says that all he had to do was leave and have his moment with his wife, but he saw CM Punk and made him more important than anything else. Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling recap for May 12, 2024

Note: This episode is a re-airing of an interview with Adam Pearce from 2010.

The show starts with David Marquez interviewing NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce. He says taht he grew up to be a hard worker and that those in the West Coast lack the kind of integrity that he does. He talks about how he found out about professional wrestling as a kid in the Mid-West and saw his first show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He says that he looked up to Jack Brisco, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Harley Race and Terry Funk on his way to becoming a professional wrestler. Pearce also talks about his first match at the age of 17 where he tagged with his trainers in a six-man tag match and that when the match start, it is "kill or be killed." He also says that he knew he would become an NWA World Heavyweight Champion as he knew that he was great from the get-go.

David Marquez interviews Adam Pearce about the tournament to crown a new NWA World Heavyweight Champion in 2006. Pearce says that when NWA was bringing their World Heavyweight title, he started petitioning to be part of the tournament. He also talks about his match with Brent Albright in Puerto Rico, and mentions how Bryan Danielson beat him in the semi-finals of the tournament only to be injured in a match in Japan, which brought him back to the tournament in the finals and back to being World Heavyweight Champion. On the subject of Danielson being special guest enforcer, he says that Danielson made the right call on that night despite wearing an eyepatch to protect his injured eye, and for the first time in his fifteen-year career, he had respect for Brent Albright in what would become a rivalry, although he will never be over Albright cementing his legacy at his expense to become World Heavyweight Champion.

We look back on Adam Pearce vs. Brent Albright for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in a bullrope match.

David Marquez continues to interview Adam Pearce. Pearce calls Philadelphia, Pennsylvania "a cesspool" and "a dump" full of "maniacs" who only like hardcore wrestling and that he had to head there to face Brent Albright in order to reclaim the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. He talks about how Shane Douglas threw down the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and became "champion of a toilet," and calls himself a real champion who put the title back on the pedestal it needed to be on. He calls Sean Waltman "a deadbeat" who calls himself a degenerate who has also ridden his coattails because he is not great and wants to taste greatness he will never taste. He calls Phil Shatter "a Neanderthal," and says that while Colt Cabana is talented, there is something off about someone who calls himself "Boom Boom." He calls Charlie Haas a technician and somebody he can respect, and says that while he is tough as nails, he did not get the job done, but tells him to come back for round two because he is a man. On the subject of Joey Ryan, he says that Joey Ryan only cares about what the fans think about him, and says that he would still be tag team champion and not coming after him if he was on the path he is supposed to be on.

We look back on the recent match from two months ago from So-Cal Pro Wrestling between Joey Ryan and Adam Pearce.

David Marquez interviews Adam Pearce regarding The Sheik. Adam Pearce says he knows very little about The Sheik and that his attack on him from behind during his NWA World Championship match with Phil Shatter was a black eye on professional wrestling as well as an injustice, and asks what kind of man would attack anybody like that. He says that he knows that The Sheik is watching and that he will take him beyond his limits, and says that he is not a man to be played with and that he can take things underground and not via the high road if necessary. As for what he looks for in this new television show, he hopes to introduce shining stars as well as veterans and legends to people's homes. He calls Scorpio Sky an unparalleled athlete and says he has all the tools except for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. As for who the rising star of 2010 will be, he says that is not up to him to decide. As for who he would love to face from the past or present, Pearce would face himself and see who would win in a match between Adam Pearce and Adam Pearce, even though he knows the winner would be Adam Pearce.
