Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana head to the ring. He says that he has had three matches for the title in one week and that he is the fighting champion AEW needs, and that AEW does not need power-hungry EVP's who think they can do anything without consequences. He says that the EVP's will be handled at some point, then wants to know who his opponent at Double Or Nothing will be, and tells them to present themselves. The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) show up on the video screen and take offense to being badmouthed by Swerve, and reveal Swerve's opponent for Double Or Nothing. They hint at it being Kenny Omega, but it ends up being Christian Cage instead. The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, "The Prodigy" Nick Wayne shows up and heads to the ring, and Christian hits Swerve with his microphone without saying anything before hitting him with a ground-and-pound attack. Swerve fights back, and Killswitch headbutts both Swerve and Nana following the distraction by Mama Wayne. Christian then drives Swerve into the AEW World Championship with the Killswitch before Nick Wayne hits Prince Nana with Wayne's World. Christian tells Swerve that he has not forgotten Swerve breaking into Nick Wayne's gym and leaving him in a pool of his own blood and how he cost them their tag team match at All In, and he has waited for the right moment to get his revenge. He says there is no better time than right now to make him pay for his mistake now that he is World Champion, and that he will make sure his reign ends before it starts and leave him as a footnote in AEW. Christian also says that when he is done with Swerve, his daughter will not even want to know him, and that she will have a father she will be proud of for the rest of his life in Christian Cage after he rips the AEW World title from his hands. He also says that the pain has just begun before Killswitch tears a bit of Swerve's hair from his head.

As he threatens to get his hands on Trent Beretta the next time he sees him, Trent shows up and says Orange is making this about himself. Kenny Omega returns to AEW for the first time in months. Kenny admits that he is not good talking about sickness, injury and weakness. He mentions his bout with diverticulitis, how he was 24 hours away from dying and how he almost had his career taken away from him. He said he had to stop watching AEW because he was scared of losing his career. Kenny then says he started watching against during Dynasty and how his hands trembled from not being in the ring, which he wanted to be back in more than he wants to breathe. He says that in the conversation over who is the best, he has already been forgotten, and he made a promise to himself and the fans that this is not over until he exhausts every option to beat diverticulitis. He then calls out The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) for running roughshod over AEW and embarrassing themselves more than usual, then says that while he may be fired from The Elite, he is not fired as an EVP, and until someone says otherwise, he has part of the power in AEW. "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada shows up as Dynamite becomes Rampage. Kenny mentions their rivalry in New Japan Pro Wrestling, then tells Okada to give him a couple of months so they can settle things in AEW. Okada apologizes, saying he is "The Best Bout Machine" now before Kenny is attacked from behind by Jack Perry. Okada hands Perry a chair, and Perry smacks a few members of security with it before Kenny Omega fights back and hits a snap Dragon Suplex. Kenny then cradles his stomach. He goes for the V-Trigger, but is grab from the outside by Okada, allowing Perry to hit Kenny in the gut with the chair.
