Collision Course - Collision recap for September 14, 2024

"Scapegoat" Jack Perry retains the TNT Championship against "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels. After the match, Jack Perry says people who do not like him are the people who cannot handle the truth as he makes his way back to his van.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Wheeler Yuta, who says that out of respect for "The American Nightmare" Bryan Danielson and his family, he does not want to share too much and that Danielson is doing the best he can. He also says he has not talked to The Blackpool Combat Club. He says that Anthony Henry is one hell of a competitor who is pretty tough and not to be taken lightly, then says he will try to channel Danielson's energy tonight.

Before the next match, "Smart" Mark Sterling says The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, Josh Woods) are teaming with The Beast Mortos because The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Kyle O'Reilly, Orange Cassidy) have been a thorn in their side for the past two months and they have used Ariya Daivar's cash to stick two horns up theirs. He also says that they have decided to do a team building exercise where when they say "Athletes," the fans say "Rule," but the fans say "Suck" instead.

The Congolomeration (Mark Briscoe and Kyle O'Reilly) and Hologram beat The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari) and The Beast Mortos in a trios match. After the match, The Beast Mortos goes on the attack, and Mark Briscoe has to hit him with the ROH World Championship before he and O'Reilly can clothesline him out of the ring.

We see footage of AEW stars at a recent CMLL show.

Backstage, Renee Paquette is about to interviews Orange Cassidy when he is attacked by "The Redwood" Big Cass and has his head covered with his backpack by "The Bad Apple" Bryan Keith. "The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho then smacks Orange in the head with the picture frame with the photo of best Friends, then says he will see him on Dynamite.

We see Stokely Hathaway watch DVDs of recent tag team matches in AEW.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Mariah May, who says that she will not be holding her championship celebration in Dayton, Ohio, and that she has always had the best times with Mina Shirakawa before bad things just happened and she needed her, and says she cannot celebrate without Mina. Suddenly, Yuka Sakazaki shows up wanting the AEW Women's World Championship, and Mariah May tells her to get in line so she can rip her head off. Yuka then says "Okay! Bye bye!" and leaves, much to Mariah's irritation.

Wheeler Yuta beats Anthony Henry by submission with the Cattle Mutilation after Anthony Henry mocks "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson and gets annihilated.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Queen Aminata and Serena Deeb. Serena thanks Aminata for her time and says that Aminata has a lot of potential, but is still not ready. However, she says that she is very forgiving, and she knows where her locker room is. Aminata says she has no time for this and that she has a match tonight, but Serena asks her to let her show her how it is done.

We hear from Anna Jay, who says that she has been in Japan being the best that she can be, and now she wants more. She wants a shot at the AEW World Women's Championship and also wants to face Mercedes Moné, and dares anyone to try her.

Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) and Komander beat Jon Cruz, Lord Crewe and Wren Jones in a trios match.

We see a video package chronicling the rivalry between Nigel McGuinness and "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson after McGuinness says that his match with Danielson has been created only out of speculation and that Danielson will not show up only because he is scared of him. McGuinness says Danielson is a physical wreck, and while Danielson will still be the AEW World Champion, he will end his career if he shows up.

"The Glamour" Mariah May guests on commentary for the next match.

Yuka Sakazaki beats Serena Deeb, much to the chagrin of "The Glamour" Mariah May, who belittles Yuka throughout the match. After the match, Mariah May attacks Yuka from behind, and when she goes for Storm Zero on the stage, Yuka blocks it and kicks Mariah in the head. Afterwards, she looks at the Women's World Championship before handing it to Mariah.

We see a vignette of The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) working out.

Backstage, Top Flight (Darius Martin, Dante Martin, Leila Grey), Action Andretti and Lio Rush are outside of the building. Andretti says they all have so much potential, yet they have been losing as of late and all they are talking about is the food they just ate, which Andretti throws at a nearby production truck. Leila Grey says they need to get it together, and Andretti agrees, walking away.

The Bang Bang Gang ("Rock Hard" Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn) beats Cage of Agony ("The Machine" Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) in a trios match.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Serena Deeb when Queen Aminata shows up, asking if that is how it is done before walking off.

Queen Aminata beats Robyn Renegade. After the match, Aminata is attacked from behind by Serena Deeb, who puts her in the Serenity Lock. Multiple referees show up to restore order.

We hear from The House of Black (Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews, Brody King). Buddy Matthews says everyone wants a piece of them, and while Malakai Black says their chances are 50-50, Brody King says it is more like 80-20. Buddy then says "Come one, come all."

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) beat Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake) with a Sharpshooter from Dax to Drake. After the match, both teams continue to fight after Gibson goes on the attack, and The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) show up to fight The Grizzled Young Veterans and clean house. The show ends with FTR and The Outrunners having a Predator-esque handshake.

Here are the highlights from tonight's show!
