Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for June 7, 2024

The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Paul Heyman) makes their way to the ring to start tonight's show. Paul Heyman says that he must set the record straight, and announces that until Roman Reigns comes back, Solo Sikoa sits at the head of the table. The leads to the fans chanting that they want Roman. Heyman announces that Solo Sikoa has once again upped the ante in terms of family honor and has declared a double proclamation, and announces that Tama Tonga is a fully-fledged member of The Bloodline and will be known as "The Right Hand Man." It is also announced that Tanga Loa is also a fully-fledged member, and Solo hugs Tanga Loa. Heyman is about to wish the Louisville, Kentucky a good knight when Solo says Heyman should be thanking him from Kevin Owens last week. Heyman thanks the both of them individually, then Tama Tonga says it was by the orders of the Tribal Chief and that they could have left him to Owens if they wanted to. Heyman then addresses that Kevin Owens is looking for a piece of any and ever member of The Bloodline, then Owens shows up and fights The Bloodline. The numbers quickly catches up, but The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) run in to even the odds. Owens is able to get a metal folding chair and start swinging, and he and The Street Profits stand tall in the ring.

Backstage, Solo Sikoa wants Paul Heyman to make a six-man tag match against Kevin Owens and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) or else Tama Tonga will beat him up. We then see another QR code as Heyman pressuredly agrees.

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill beat Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell as The Unholy Union (Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre), Zoey Stark and "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler watch from ringside. After the match, Shayna, Zoey and The Unholy Union attack Jade and Bianca. Shayna holds one of the women's tag belts, but Isla Dawn holds the other, and both of their teams brawl with each other in the ring. Jade and Bianca soon get back in the ring and clean house before hitting The Unholy Union with a K.O.D. and a Jaded for good measure.

Backstage, "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes is met by General Manager Nick Aldis, who tells him that it is not in the company's best interest to have a fight in the loading dock as someone will get seriously hurt. Cody says that it will not be him, and that this is now personal between himself and "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles.

Kevin Owens and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) vs. The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa) is official for later tonight.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Apollo Crews. Apollo is attacked by Berto and Angel as he talks about his match with Angel, and Santos Escobar says something to Apollo before referees and General Manager Nick Aldis get involved. Apollo is then taken to medical. Nick Aldis then runs into LA Knight, and tells him that he is not here and is playing Tetris online. As LA Knight says he will fit his boot in Logan Paul's ass, Carmelo Hayes shows up and says he has been cooking the last few weeks. LA Knight says Aldis has a match between the two of them, and Aldis makes it official.

Grayson Waller beats Johnny Gargano after Gargano hits Austin Theory and not Grayson during a tope suicida.

Backstage, General Manager Nick Aldis shows up with security and tells "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes that "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles is pulling into the arena.

Backstage, General Manager Nick Aldis and security have to stop "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes from getting to The O.C. (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) and "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. Cody responds by heading to the ring and telling AJ Styles to face him there. Styles and The O.C. show up, but so do security and Nick Aldis, and Styles tells Cody that he does not care what he wants, as it is irrelevant to him. Styles then tells Cody to give him what he wants - the Undisputed WWE Championship - at Clash at the Castle. Cody tells Styles that he has his title shot, but warns him that he will not only beat him, but make him say "I Quit." Aldis gives the thumbs up, then Cody beats up a few members of security before being stopped by the rest. When that happens, Styles rushes up to Cody and punches him in the head.

Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair as they exit General Manager Nick Aldis' office. Jade and Bianca announce that they will have a triple threat match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against The Unholy Union (Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre) and the team of Zoey Stark and "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler at Clash at the Castle.

We see some members of the UFC commentary team in the front row.

LA Knight beats Carmelo Hayes after pinning Carmelo to the mat as Carmelo grabs his tights on a schoolkid pin. After the match, LA Knight grabs a headset and tells Logan Paul to play his games all he wants, as he will play a game with him. He says that if Logan does not want to come to SmackDown, then he will bring SmackDown to him.

Backstage, Tiffany Stratton meets with Nia Jax and says that she has her back as she proposes an alliance. As Tiffany leaves, Nia does not even raise an eyebrow. Afterwards, Nia runs into "Michin" Mia Yim, and tells her to pull a page from "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles' book and retire. Michin throws a drink in Nia's face, and officials quickly restore order.

Bayley heads to the ring. She is not able to say much about her match against Piper Niven for the WWE Women's Championship at Clash at the Castle when Chelsea Green and Piper Niven show up. Chelsea says Bayley is talking a big game for such a big loser, then says the fans are booing her because they are losers before saying Bayley has been a loser for the last few months and will become a loser when Piper beats her for the WWE Women's Championship. Bayley says that Piper does not need Chelsea and that she respects Chelsea and has watched for a long time since her match in the Mae Young Classic, and knows this is more than a title match for Piper. Bayley says she has been there before and that she has lost in front of everyone she loves, then says that Piper could have just asked for a title match but had Chelsea attack her instead, and now she will have "some damn fun" beating Piper. Piper says she has embarrassed Bayley enough already and that she is planning to beat the brakes off her, then appreciates the respect for her journey before saying Bayley knows nothing about it. She says that she has been digging and clawing her way out of the trenches since 2008, and while Bayley was in the Performance Center, she was a trailblazer making a name for herself and winning titles all over the world. Piper says she was already a world champion before she stepped foot in WWE, and that if Bayley had any idea of how dangerous she would, she would not stand so close to her. She then hopes her respect for her makes it less painful when Bayley loses and she becomes champion.

We see a message from Logan Paul, who tells LA Knight to take off his "Temu sunglasses" before telling him that he is on his turf in the World Tetris Championships and that he only competes with real champions. He then tells LA Knight to go back to the mid-card where he belongs.

Backstage, Chelsea Green and Piper Niven think about Piper's victory party when she runs into Naomi and General Manager Nick Aldis. Naomi warns Chelsea to keep her name out of her mouth, and Aldis asks Naomi and Chelsea to face each other next week on the condition that they keep their hands off each other.

Valentina Shevchenko is seen in the front row.

Kevin Owens and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) vs. The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa) ends in a no-contest after Solo Sikoa hits Montez Ford in the back with a metal folding chair. After the match, Angelo Dawkins is hit with the Samoan Spike as The Bloodline go on the attack, and Montez Ford meets the same fate. The Bloodline soon attack Owens before powerbombing him through the announce table.
