Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for June 19, 2024

MJF beats Rush in an opening match with no commercial interruptions. After the match, Cage of Agony ("The Machine" Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) and Hechicero show up on the video screen and congratulate MJF on winning before announcing that MJF will be facing Hechicero at Forbidden Door.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Kyle O'Reilly, Mark Briscoe, Dante Martin and Orange Cassidy. Mark Briscoe says that he will get vengeance and redemption today, as they are here again after last week's loss. "Scapegoat" Jack Perry walks by as Briscoe gets psyched up.

Will Ospreay heads to the ring, followed by Prince Nana and Swerve Strickland. Ospreay reminds Swerve of their last in-ring meeting and tells him that he can hold both of their titles at the same time, that he held three different championships from three different continents at the time and that Swerve will be tested. Swerve says that he, not Ospreay, is the best in the world and that they took different career paths to get to this point. He also says that he remembers how Ospreay won last year and expects him to use Don Callis' assistance to win his championship. Ospreay says he does not need Don Callis or his family and that he can beat him all by himself, then reminds Swerve of his "hit list" of opponents that he beat after last year's Forbidden Door. He says that Swerve should be feeling the pressure and ponders what will happen if Swerve's kill shot is just centimeters off, and tells him that no matter what he hits him with, Swerve will wake up without the AEW World Championship. Swerve says he does not run on uncertainties and that he has no friends, for anyone and everyone he had to go through are "bodies" now. He then asks what Ospreay is if he were to break his leg. Swerve warns Ospreay that the AEW World Championship and that he will have to sacrifice everything to become champion, including the love of his family, and Ospreay warns him not to mention his son again and make this personal. Prince Nana steps in and says this is not the time or place, and that they should save this emotion for Forbidden Door. When Nana asks whose house it is, Ospreay says "My house," and leaves. Swerve stops Ospreay, asking what would happen if he made this personal, and tells Ospreay to send his regards to "Al and Harry," which causes Ospreay to make a beeline back to the ring and confront Swerve as Nana gets out of dodge. Backstage, The Don Callis Family (Trent Beretta, "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher) feels betrayed by Will Ospreay, but Don Callis tells everyone that it will be fine.

Kyle O'Reilly, Mark Briscoe, Dante Martin and Orange Cassidy beat Zack Sabre Jr., Roderick Strong and The Don Callis Family ("The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher) in an eight-man tag match.

We hear from Mercedes Moné, who says that her match with Zeuxis has given her a hunger for the lucha libre style that she loves, and at Forbidden Door, their titles are not only up for grabs, but hers for the taking, as she asks if Stephanie Vaquer has what it takes.

Backstage, Rush is met by Don Callis, who tells him that his house is Rush's house if he wants the opportunity.

Before the next match, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada cuts "Platinum" Max Caster's mic, then sarcastically says he is sorry.

The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) beat The Young Bucks (Nicholas and Matthew Jackson) in an AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator Match to earn a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships after Matthew nearly hits the referee with one of the tag belts and Nicholas inadvertently hits Matthew with the other.

Backstage, Hook and Samoa Joe try to attack The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, Josh Woods) in their dressing room again, but they find a challenge to a trios match on Collision. "The Wrestler" Katsuyori Shibata, who is holding the camera, says "I am going to smash these goofy bitches."

Mariah May oversees the contract signing for Mina Shirakawa vs. "Timeless" Toni Storm for the AEW Women's World Championship at Forbidden Door. Mina arrives first, followed by Toni. After both competitors are seated, Mariah says that she loves both of them, but Mina takes the microphone and tells Mariah to shut up before saying that Toni is a legend and a star, but got soft as a champion. She also says that Toni got weak as a champion and that everyone says "We want Mina" and does not want Toni, and she plans to take Toni's title as well as Mariah. Mina then signs the contract. Toni threatens to slap Mina's tits off if she raises her voice at Mariah again, then tells her that "this buffet is wide open" and to "grab a bowl and line up," then advises Mina "Chin up, tits out and watch for the shoe." Toni then signs the contract. Mina then tells Mariah that she must choose between her or Toni. Suddenly, Saraya shows up with Harley Cameron, saying she is sick of this and sick of Toni and that they did not come alone. Suddenly, Mina is attacked by Anna Jay. Saraya, Anna and Harley then get a table to the corner before Saraya grabs Mariah. Toni gets in the ring and hits everyone with a shoe before suplexing Saraya and going for a hip check through the table only for Saraya to dodge it.

We see a video package for Claudio Castagnoli vs. PAC in the men's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Kris Statlander beats "The Native Beast" Nyla Rose to advance to the semi-finals of the women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. After the match, Stokely Hathaway addresses Willow Nightingale, who says that Willow will be "pop locking in the same cell as Justin Timberlake" if she tries to get her hands on him or Kris. Suddenly, Willow shows up on the video screen and congratulates Kris on her win before saying she has Serena Deeb on Rampage, and when she wins, there will be no more running and she will whup Kris' ass and get closer to All In.

Renee Paquette interviews Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy). Marq Quen says that Chris Jericho learned that they are no joke and that they plan to ride the momentum into Rampage, then The Learning Tree ("The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho, Big Bill, "The Bad Apple" Bryan Keith) shows up. Chris Jericho says Private Party cheated to get the upper hand, then says that when one faces luchadors, one must avoid the martineta, also known as the piledriver. Big Bill says they are looking forward to their match on Saturday and that they will be watching on Friday, then Bryan Keith tells them to respect Chris Jericho.

Daniel Garcia quickly beats Rhett Titus. After the match, "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard is attacked on the outside by Gates of Agony, and "The Machine" Brian Cage and Hechicero join and attack Daniel Garcia. Suddenly, MJF shows up and fights Hechicero, then bites Brian Cage and hits Gates of Agony low. The numbers game soon catches up, however, and Hechicero tries to break MJF's arm. All of a sudden, Will Ospreay shows up and comes to MJF's aid, and he gets the better of Hechicero and Brian Cage. MJF and Ospreay bump into each other and have a brief staredown in the ring. MJF leaves, then Ospreay helps Garcia up and raises his hand.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Will Ospreay when "The Machine" Brian Cage shows up with three security guards holding him back demanding an International title shot. Ospreay says he has it at Collision.

"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson guests on commentary for the next match.

PAC beats Claudio Castagnoli to advance to the semi-finals of the men's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament following a series of pinfall reversals. Claudio is frustrated and disappointed after the match.
