Generation NXT - NXT recap for March 10, 2021

General Manager William Regal is in the ring. His first announcement is that NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver will be two nights long, with Night One on April 7th on USA Network and Night Two on April 8th on Peacock. His second announcement brings the NXT women's division to the stage, and Regal asks Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez to come to the ring. There, he awards them the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships. Dakota Kai says that she and Raquel dominated the NXT women's division so much that new titles were made for them, and Raquel tells everyone to get used to this, as they will be champions for a long time. Suddenly, Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart show up and enter the ring, telling them that if they are going to be champions, they will need challengers, and propose a tag team title match tonight. Regal makes the match official.

Io Shirai retains the NXT Women's Championship against Toni Storm with the crossface.

We hear from Finn Balor, who says that Adam Cole was talking tough last week, then says Adam Cole is a one-man act now and it is just the two of them face-to-face for the NXT Championship. He says he beat Cole to win it, and he will beat him to keep it.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews LA Knight, who announces that he will make his in-ring debut next week before being attacked by Bronson Reed. Officials and referees have to pull Reed off of Knight.

Pete Dunne beats Jake Atlas by submission. After the match, Pete Dunne says that what happened to Jake Atlas will happen to anyone who steps up to him, and that he is the best technical wrestling in the world. Dunne then dares someone to try to prove him wrong.

Backstage, we hear from Imperium. Barthel tells Timothy Thatcher that the fans are talking about them, and that they created something very special before he and Fabian Aichner tells Thatcher to join them and take what is his, and also tell him to bring Tommaso Ciampa with him.

We hear from Leon Ruff, who tells Isaiah "Swerve" Scott that he worked to get to where he is now and that it was not luck when he beat him. He says he has held it down from opening match to man event, and next week, he will give Swerve another rough landing.

Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart beat Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez to become the NXT Women's Tag Team Champions!

We hear from Adam Cole, who says that Kyle O'Reilly stepped out of line only to be put in his place and Roderick Strong was beaten where he stood for playing tough guy as he showed who the leader is. He says The Undisputed Era is dead only when he says it is, even though he is carrying dead weight, then says he played Finn Balor like a fiddle because it has always been about the NXT Championship. Cole says that Finn Balor was the greatest NXT Champion ever before he showed up, held the title for 403 days and beat everyone put in front of him, and tonight, he will become a two-time champion. He then tells Finn Balor that if he thought his first reign was something special, he has not seen anything yet.

Backstage, Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon are congratulated by the NXT women's division, but Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell look on in disgust before meeting with Johnny Gargano. Austin Theory says he knows that Gargano paid off the therapist, but Gargano says Theory had to know what Dexter Lumis though of him. Theory becomes enraged and starts looking for Lumis.

Xia Li beats Kayden Carter by disqualificaton when Kacy Catanzaro, who shows up on crutches to cheer Kayden on from ringside, hits Xia Li with one of her crutches. After the match, Xia Li tries to beg Catanzaro off, but is struck repeatedly with the crutch. When Boa gets in the ring, Catanzaro confronts him, but he breaks the crutch. Kayden grabs Catanzaro's other crutch and hits Boa in the back with it so she and Catanzaro can escape.

We hear from Jordan Devlin, who looks forward to WrestleMania season. He says he could use a change of scenery, then says his travel ban has been lifted and that he will face Santos Escobar next week to decide the real NXT Cruiserweight Champion.

We hear from Zoey Stark, who talks about having a rough childhood and how she escaped into wrestling, learning to become a professional wrestler and becoming a part of NXT before saying she can do it all in the ring.

Backstage, Santos Escobar has a heated argument with General Manager William Regal.

Before the next match, Zack Gibson calls Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza) "Santos Escobar's puppets," saying they have taken bullets for Escobar while they have made an impact in the tag team division. James Drake says that what they did to Wes Lee's hand will be nothing compared to what he and Gibson do to them.

Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza) beat Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake) when Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) show up dressed as spacemen, then unmask to reveal themselves to be MSK (Nash Carter and Wes Lee). This does not stop O'Reilly from chasing Cole to the back. Back in the ring, Finn Balor then says "What took you so long?" as he looks back to see Karrion Kross.
