"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes beats Penta El Zero M with a roll-up after Penta showboats following the snap back on Cody's arm. After the match, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson gets in the ring, and The Gunn Club (Austin and Colten Gunn) and "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes chase Penta out of the ring before checking on Cody. QT Marshall then shows up as Penta heads to the back, and everyone in the ring wants to know where QT Marshall was.
Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson). Matt says Rey Fenix has beaten him and his brother in singles competition, but they are the best tag team in wrestling. They are suddenly interrupted by Don Callis, who mentions what happened before their dad and that he wanted them to superkick him so he could see the team that dominated in Japan. He then says The Young Bucks have killed their career and have let everyone take credit for things. Callis also says that Kenny Omega is now a god of pro wrestling while The Young Bucks are "down in the basement," and that Omega does not recognize them as they are "not elite anymore" and are just another tag team with fancy tights living off of their name. He then asks The Young Bucks if they see the same Young Bucks that he saw in New Japan before leaving.
Jade Cargill quickly beats Dani Jordyn in her AEW singles debut. After the match, Jade Cargill confronts Red Velvet in the front row, and Red Velvet has to be held back by everyone else.
MJF's new faction (MJF, Wardlow, Shawn Spears, Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler, Tully Blanchard) heads to the ring. Tully Blanchard says it is great to be in the middle of the ring with everyone else, as they faced one of the greatest groups in wrestling and laid them out. He then says that his group is now "the baddest group in AEW" and says that they are at the pinnacle of this sport. He talks about how he was in a group of the greatest guys in wrestling at the start of his career, and says he will end his career with the greatest group of guys in wrestling. MJF says he may well be Judas now, and says it was not easy being the most charismatic man in wrestling only to take a backseat to Chris Jerciho for six months, saying he had to fall back as far as Jericho's hairline every time he talked. He also says it was not easy separating Jericho from Sammy Guevara, but he played his game and pretended to like him and his "ha-ha comedy bullshit," and says he was plucking Jericho feather by feather when Jericho thought he took him under his wing. He also says that his plans to take over The Inner Circle was just a ruse to hide what he really wanted to do, which was to end the strongest faction in AEW in The Inner Circle from the inside and build one that was even stronger. He calls Tully the greatest mind in the business for calling them "the pinnacle," then introduces everyone in the faction. He calls MJF "the greatest big man in wrestling," says that Shawn Spears is going to prove he is a top guy week in and week out while everyone eats their words followed by a chair shot, and calls Harwood and Wheeler "the greatest tag team on God's green earth." MJF then says he has only been on national television for a year but is the most talked about wrestler in the ring and is totally unstoppable, and says he is only 24 years old and is only going to get better with age, all while making people angry that he has over 25 years left in the tank as his career eclipses Jericho's. He says that his group, The Pinnacle, will become the premier faction in AEW for years to come and will take all the championships in the company before saying they will take what they want when they want, including Jericho's locker room, because he is better than Jericho and Jericho knows it.
Matt Hardy, Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy), The Butcher and The Blade beat Jurassic Express (Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy, Marko Stunt) and Bear Country (Bear Boulder and Bear Bronson) in a ten-man tag match.
We hear from Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston. Moxley says he is not in a good mood following what happened in the Exploding Barbed Wire Death match, and says he should be on vacation sipping a mai tai when he has to go war again. He says that while everyone else may love The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson), he does not, for they are cheap shot artists and Gallows looks like he has googly eyes. Kingston says they could make jokes, but this is not AEW, not Tokyo or "the Impact Zone," and says The Good Brothers are cowards and cowards die a thousand deaths while he and Moxley die just once.
Backstage, Dasha Gonzalez interviews Christian Cage. Christian says there is a term in the wrestling business for someone who busts their ass on a nightly basis no matter the situation or spot on the card: workhorse. He says that he makes wrestlers better and levels them up, but he is not a workhorse; he is the workhorse, and that the locker room will learn this quickly. He says that there is only one spot that interests him, and that spot is occupied by Kenny Omega, who he says is on borrowed time. Christian says he has to prove himself and get some wins, but he will see Omega down the road. As for why he is in AEW, he is here to cement his legacy and outwork everyone.
The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) attack Eddie Kingston with cheap shots before the beginning of the next match. Jon Moxley runs in to even the odds before the bell rings.
Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston beat The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) with a roll-up from Moxley to Anderson. After the match, The Good Brothers attack Moxley, then Kenny Omega shows up with Don Callis. As Omega sits in a chair in front of a downed Moxley, Kingston attacks Omega from behind only for the numbers game to take over. Anderson and Omega then wrap a chair around Kingston's left angle, and Anderson stomps on the chair from the top rope. They then wrap a chair around Moxley's head, and as Gallows is about to stompt he chair, The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) show up to stop Omega and The Good Brothers. As Omega and The Goof Brother give the "too sweet" hand signal, The Young Bucks walk out on them, much to the anger of Omega. Moxley then clears out the ring by swinging a steel chair around, and Eddie Kingston pulls himself into the ring as he is checked on by medical personnel.
Tony Schiavone interviews Sting and Darby Allin. Darby says he has only defended the TNT Championship three times, and now that he is done with Team Taz (Taz, "The Machine" Brian Cage, "Absolute" Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, Hook), he wants to defend the title week in and week out, and he wants to start by paying tribute to Brodie Lee. He tells The Dark Order to come in and take the belt if they want it, then Lance Archer and Jake "The Snake" Roberts shows up and asks Schiavone how many times he will keep interviewing Sting before calling Darby Allin "the biggest indie-rific joke the business has ever seen" before saying he will put him in a coffin since he likes them so much. He calls Darby a "weenie boy" who should go to the back and put his "hot dog button" back on, then tells Sting that he will get what is coming to him as the winds of change are coming, and that Tony Khan should learn not to play with fire because Lance Archer is dangerous. After Archer and Roberts leave, Team Taz shows up, and Cage tells Sting that after all that has happened, he respects him, then says that Sting is still "The Icon" with or without his bat, much to the chagrin of the rest of Team Taz.
We hear from Scorpio sky, who says that he has done everything asked of him and wants to be the poster boy of AEW, but AEW wants "the Codys, the Darbys and the Stings" and not him, and while he tried to be the exception to "nice guys finish last," it has not worked. He says that he will not be a stepping stone, because he is a wrestling savant and tired of not acting like he is the best, and if he has to hurt people to do it, so be it.
Rey Fenix beats Angelico.
In footage from earlier today, Alex Marvez interviews Miro. Miro says he has moved on from Chuck Taylor, but "Superbad" Kip Sabian shows up and says he has not, as they ruined his wedding and that his wife is hurt because of Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy. Miro tells Sabian that having Penelope Ford at ringside is a mistake, and that when the bell rings, he does not care about him, his wife, his family or the opponent and that all he cares about is his destiny, but outside of the ring, they are still friends. Miro leaves, and when asked if they accept the challenge by Marvez, Sabian says "Of course we accept."
Next week: "The Native Beast" Nyla Rose vs. Tay Conti! FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) Shawn Spears vs. The Varsity Blonds (Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr.) and Dante Martin! Darby Allin's open challenge to The Dark Order for the TNT Championship!
Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews The Dark Order. -1 wants to accept the challenge, but he is only nine years old, and John "4" Silver is volunteered to take part in the match by the rest of The Dark Order.
Next week: Kenny Omega vs. Matt Sydal in an AEW World Championship Eliminator Match! If Matt Sydal wins, he gets to face Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship!
We hear from The Pinnacle (MJF, Wardlow, Shawn Spears, Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler, Tully Blanchard) backstage. MJF says that what is Chris Jericho's is his, and what is The Inner Circle's is now The Pinnacle's. The Inner Circle's dressing room signed is replaced with The Pinnacle's by Tully Blanchard.
