Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for March 16, 2021

In backstage footage from Sacrifice, The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) are not in the mood for an interview.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Gia Miller interviews Matt Cardona. Cardona says it was not his intention to cost Brian Myers the match, but Myers paid Hernandez off and Eddie Edwards deserved a fair fight, so he had to neutralize the situation. He says that he is still friends with Myers, but Myers is being a jerk here in Impact, and if he has to put him in his place, he will.

We hear from Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend). Thornstowe says that Sacrifice did not go over as planned and admits that Decay (Rosemary, Decay, Black Taurus) got one over on them, but tonight, it is all about Luster the Legend. Luster tells Black Taurus that if he thinks he will walk out the winner this time, he is mistaken, and says that they would have won at Sacrifice if Rosemary did not spit green mist into his face. He says that he will rip Taurus' head off and mount his horns over either his bed or his fireplace.

We hear from Decay (Rosemary, Decay, Black Taurus), who laugh about Luster the Legend swallowing the poison mist.

Black Taurus beats Luster The Legend.

Juice Robinson and David Finlay beat XXXL (Larry D and Acey Romero). After the match, The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) show up. Anderson says The Good Brothers have been so busy with both family and being on the road that they were exhausted, and Gallows blames their tag team title loss on jet lag. Gallows demands a tag team title rematch, and Juice Robinson tells them they've got it. Finlay says that they will have to wait until they come back in April from a tour of Japan, however, and this leads to a brawl where Juice and Finlay quickly escape.

We hear from Sami Callihan, who says that while Trey Miguel has all the talent in the world, he fakes having passion and confuses anger with passion. He says it is passion that drives a man to do anything, such as Sam Beale taking on Trey Miguel in the ring, and admits that while Trey has won matches here and there, he says that Trey does not have the passion to take it to the next level. Sami then proclaims that he will make an example out of Trey tonight.

Backstage, The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) meet with Scott D'Amore regarding the Impact World Tag Team Championships going to Japan with Juice Robinson and David Finlay. D'Amore tells them they will have their tag team title rematch at Rebellion. As The Good Brothers leave, Tommy Dreamer shows up, not happy the tag titles will be in Japan. D'Amore reminds him that running a company is not easy, and lets him know that Hardcore Justice is coming up and that he will set up the match card. Dreamer hands him a piece of paper, telling him he already has the card set up. D'Amore tells Dreamer that Hardcore Justice will be his night.

Rhino beats Jake Something as "The Cowboy" James Storm and CHris Sabin brawl with Joe Doering and Deaner on the outside. After the match, everyone brawls, but Rhyno takes Storm and Sabin out with a Gore.

Backstage, Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb with a K calls everyone else in Tenille's group in tonight's match "The Followers." Deonna Purrazzo says they should come up with a team plan, not a team name, and everyone agrees when Deonna says they should be on the same page.

Rohit Raju beats Shera after putting his feet on the ropes for leverage.

Backstage, Willie Mack congratulates Rich Swann on becoming the unified Impact World Champion. As Mack gets ready to party, Swann says that he has business to attend to in the ring.

Rich Swann heads to the ring. He says that Sacrifice was one of the hardest things he has been through in his entire life, and says he and Moose proved why Impact is one of the best companies with the best talent. Swann admits that while he may not like Moose, he respects him, but at Sacrifice, he was on his high horse and riding that stallion, and he became double champion. He says one world championship is hard to come by, but two is unthinkable, yet he did it. He then addresses his recent past with Kenny Omega and says it has come full circle, and at Rebellion, he will right a wrong when he faces Omega. He says that Rebellion will be an important night in wrestling, and that at Rebellion, they will see who the real world champion is. Suddenly, Don Callis shows up. Callis whispers something into Swann's ear and talks to him, then takes the microphone and says he is proud to be in the ring with him on his very special night. Callis says he is "a huge Rich Swann guy" and that he wanted him in Impact in the first place, and that he also made sure that Swann's family got paid while Swann has injured. He also says he fought for him to be in the main event. He then calls Swann his shiny toy that he was proud of, then says that he felt an emptiness in his life when he met Kenny Omega and that he lost interest in him after that. He also hints that Rich Swann may have had Omega in the back of his mind, and says that as much as he loves Swann as a performer, Swann is just a superstar while Omega is a god. He tells Swann that he made history at Sacrifice, and that he will become part of history at Rebellion while implying that Omega already has their match won. He then says to Swann "Sleep well, brother."

We see another paid advertisement from Tony Schiavone and Tony Khan. Khan says he is all business tonight despite it being St. Patrick's Day week, then he and Schiavone run down the card for tomorrow night's Dynamite.

Backstage, Brian Myers runs into Matt Cardona and Eddie Edwards. Eddie leaves, and Myers and Cardona have a conversation. Myers says he does not want Cardona around, as Impact is his one moment to make it on his own.

Jordynne Grace, Jazz, Havok, Nevaeh, Alisha and ODB beat Tenille Dashwood, Fire 'n Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz), Deonna Purrazzo, Kimber Lee and Susan in a 12-Knockout tag team match with an STF from Jazz to Kimber Lee.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Ace Austin. Ace says everything is right in Impact again as he sits at the top of the X Division as champion again, and talks about his history with TJP and how he won on Saturday before Chris Bey shows up. Chris Bey states that Austin lost to him last week and that he deserves a title shot, then Josh Alexander shows up and reminds Bey that he beat him at No Surrender. TJP then shows up and says that their title rematch will take place next week, and tells Austin to enjoy his short reign as champion.

Hardcore Justice is live on Impact Plus on April 10th!

Sami Callihan beats Trey Miguel with a package piledriver after feigning injury while Trey Miguel goes up to the top rope.
