Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews John "4" Silver, who says he is ready for tonight's match before dodging Coffin Drops from the rest of The Dark Order for talking with "Hangman" Adam Page, who wishes him good luck.
"Hangman" Adam Page beats Cezar Bononi.
We hear from Lance Archer, who says that he looked up to Sting and says that without him, there is no Lance Archer. He says that Sting's time should be his time, and that Sting's bat used to mean something. He then says that people will soon pay attention to him, and if they do not, the walls will come crushing down on them when his boot kicks them in. He says that his name will be remembered, and sooner or later, it will be showtime.
Tony Schiavone interviews Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. on the stage. Britt Baker disapproves of the warm welcome the crowd gives her after last week and calls them as disrespectful at Thunder Rosa, then says Thunder Rosa should be thanking her every day she wakes up, as she will be forever remembered now thanks to her and the history that she wrote with her own blood. She then says Thunder Rosa had the audacity to stand in her company and women's division and say that she was the one to put the women's division on the map. She then asks why everyone is talking about her and not Thunder Rosa before saying she does not need the adulation of wrestling legends and experts. She says that she became a hardcore legend in one night when it took Mick Foley twenty years, then says she has never been able to see more clearly than before last week, saying that Tony Khan has been digging up every legend and "has-been" when he has one under his nose in her when she put AEW on the map last week. She then says that AEW is the second-most important set of letters behind D.M.D.
Backstage, The Varsity Blondes (Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr.) are talking with Dante Martin and Christian Cage. After Christian checks up on Darius Martin, Dasha Gonzalez interviews Christian. Christian says he is getting to know people backstage while giving some friendly advice when Frankie Kazarian shows up to meet with Christian. Kazarian says he is happy for him, then sees his "Out. Work. Everyone." and says that he has lived by that advice before asking when the "work" part will begin. Christian says it starts next week, but he does not have an opponent, and asks Kazarian if he is free. Kazarian tells Christian "You're on," then asks him to check out his match this Monday night on AEW Dark Elevation, as seven years is a long time to be out of the ring.
The Pinnacle (Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler, Shawn Spears) beat Dante Martin and The Varsity Blonds (Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr.) in a six-man tag match. After the match, Wardlowlays out Brian Pillman Jr. and Dante Martin, then Tony Schiavone interviews The Pinnacle in the ring. Cash Wheeler says The Pinnacle is not just a name or a group, but family, and he will live and die for them as he has no wife and kid waiting for him and home. Harwood says Santana and Ortiz have done well for themselves, but he and Wheeler are not fooled and tells them to ask for The Pinnacle to see where they stand in the business. MJF says he thought Chris Jericho would show up and break the walls down by now, but Jericho is now only breaking whatever chair he decides to sit on. He then tells Jericho to grab The Inner Circle and face him right now before saying he will not do it because they are terrified. When Schiavone reminds MJF that The Pinnacle took out The Inner Circle, MJF stops him, then says that next week, he has the gift of a lifetime for The Pinnacle when it comes to all the gold they are about to win.
We hear from Team Taz (Taz, "The Machine" Brian Cage, "Absolute" Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, Hook). Taz says there are a lot of conspiracy theories concerning Team Taz, but assures there are no problems in the team, that everything is good and that Cage apologized to the group and directly to Ricky Starks for his actions last week. Hobbs, Hook, Starks and Cage all say that they are doing fine.
Tony Schiavone interviews QT Marshall on the stage. Marshall says he is frustrated, and says that "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes taught him the value of doing the work. He then says there is nobody else in AEW other than Tony Khan who has done more actual work than him, and while he has been thrown some bones, he has to do a lot of behind-the-scenes work when the show is over while Cody sleeps in the hotel. He says that he woke up one day and realized that there is not a ladder he can't jump off of or a match he can't win without an asterisk and "Cody's friend" next to it. He says that the only way to get out of Cody's shadow is to have an exhibition match against Cody himself so he can prove he not only belongs, but can hang with the best in AEW. He says he cannot control what anyone else does in AEW, he can control what he does, and he wil not continue to take meaningless bumps and jeapordize his quality of life only to stay in Cody's shadow. Cody shows up wearing a cast on his left arm, and while he admits his heart is not into this, he will gladly accomodate the fans and the Nightmare Family. He then gives Marshall his exhibition match and makes "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson the referee. He says that while he cannot just let Marshall win, he will not hurt him in case he locks in the Figure Four or hooks the Cross Rhodes. He says that when AEW had blossoming success and he filled a spot people thought he wouldn't, people got angry and Marshall not only became a good assistant, but a friend in a business full of acquaintances. Cody says that Marshall might be his friend, but they will have the exhibition match, friend to friend. Cody and Marshall shake hands.
Matt Jackson's wife Dana and their two children, Zack and Courtney, are seen in the front row before the next match.
Laredo Kid and The Lucha Bros. (Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix) beat The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) and Brandon Cutler in a six-man tag match. (The match is Laredo's Kid's first AEW match since Fyter Fest 2019.) After the match, Kenny Omega shows up with Don Callis and blindsides Laredo Kid with the microphone before attacking him with the AEW World Championship. He takes the microphone and says he remembers three yars ago when he and the Bucks had a choice, and while he never chose AEW, he chose The Young Bucks and the vision they created to make AEW the best wrestling promotion on the planet. He then says that instead of sitting in the high school cafeteria with the cool kids and the captain of the football team, they chose Brandon Cutler, and while he chose the Bucks, the Bucks never chose him back. He says that while Don Callis can be a little abrasive, he will give the Bucks one more chance before telling them to toss the "Too Sweet" hand signal up to see if they are still with him. Matt, Nick and Cutler walk away, and after Omega says he and the Bucks are done, Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix lay Omega out. After they and Laredo Kid leave, The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) show up to help up Omega, who is now bleeding from the mouth.
We hear from Jade Cargill, who says that Red Velvet made the biggest mistake in her career by getting in her face. She says that she beat her a couple of weeks ago, and yet Red Velvet is coming back for more. She says that she is on the road to greatness while Red Velvet is just a pit stop on the road to her throne, and while they are undefeated in singles match, there can only be one and she is the one. She tells Red Velvet that when she steps in the ring, she will be stepping in the ring with "that bitch."
We see a teaser for a brand new TNT series called "Rhodes To The Top", a reality show that focuses on "The American Nightmare' Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes' work life and family life.
We hear from Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston. Kingston says he has broken things before and has come back from it, then tells The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) that this is not New Japan or about selling some tacky T-shirts, saying that they will pay for this when they put them in the morgue for taking him out. Moxley says The Good Brothers must ask themselves how far they are willing to take this, and says there is war on the streets of Jacksonville, Florida. Moxley then admits he does not like The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), but says he owes them one after last week, and while he has no patience for the melodrama that is going on, they are playing with live rounds. He tells The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) that if they want to get in the game, they had better be willing to get their hands dirty.
Tay Conti beats "The Native Beast" Nyla Rose. After the match, Vickie Guerrero grabs Tay Conti by the leg from the outside, allowing Nyla to grab Tay Conti. As she goes for the Beast Bomb, Hikaru Shida shows up, hits Nyla Rose in the bac with a Kendo stick and goes for the ground and pound. The Bunny then shows up and attacks both Tay Conti and Hikaru Shida while Matt Hardy, The Butcher and The Blade watch from the stage. Matt Hardy then says that the AEW Women's Championship Eliminator Tournament was terrible and a sham because The Bunny was not in it, then says that his clients have been overlooked for far too long. He says that this ends now.
We see a video package that previews the Arcade Anarchy match next week between Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy) and the team of "Superbad" Kip Sabian and Miro.
Next week: Hikaru Shida and Tay Conti vs. The Bunny and "The Native Beast" Nyla Rose! Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) vs. The Lucha Bros. (Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix) and Laredo Kid! "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes vs. QT Marshall! Chrsitian Cage vs. Frankie Kazarian!
We hear from Scorpio Sky, who says that he has shown a side that the fans have not seen and that he has been screwed over and over again. He says that everyone has to stop pretending that he is not uniquely gifted, because humility only gives people a reasaon to underrate someone and his days of being underrated are over. He says that at AEW Dark Elevation, it will be time for Matt Sydal to pay the rent, and if Mike Sydal wants to get involved, then he is not just one man, but a whole revolution.
Darby Allin retains the AEW TNT Championship against John "4" Silver. During the match, Sting shows up with a bat in his hand and watches from the stage. Both men fist bump after the match, then Matt Hardy drags Allin out of the ring before he, The Butcher, The Blade and Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) fight The Dark Order. Tay Conti shows up to fight The Bunny, and the show ends with both sides continuing to brawl.
