Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for October 14, 2020

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships against Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent) when the referee does not see Harwood hits Taylor with one of the tag team title belts. During the match, Cash Wheeler and Trent brawl behind the barricade, and Wheeler sends Trent into the arcade machine that "Superbad" Kip Sabian is playing on; this causes a distraught Sabian to tell Penelope Ford to go to the back and get Miro. After the match, Miro shows up and attacks Best Friends alongside "Superbad" Kip Sabian.

"Superbad" Kip Sabian and Miro beat Lee Johnson and Sean Maluta with Game Over to Maluta. After the match, Sabian tells Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent) they went too far in destroying his arcade cabinet, then Miro simply tells Best Friends "You break my shit...game...over."

Backstage, Lance Archer is attacking Jon Moxley, and officials have to break up the beatdown.

The World Title Eliminator Tournament begins next week!

MJF and Wardlow show up. MJF says everyone is still booing him because they are envious of him, and that he has accomplished more in one year on television than the fans have ever done in their entire lives, then tells them to take their hatred and strap in, as he will be on top for a long time. He then brings out a person who has been on top for the last thirty years and is willing to listen to him speak in the ring: Chris Jericho. Jericho shows up with the rest of The Inner Circle (of whom Sammy Guevara finally has his jacket, which he reluctantly puts on at the behest of Jericho to reveal that the jacket is too big for him), then MJF brings up how Jericho is in good shape and has "luscious, bodacious" hair, then Jericho tells MJF to "cut the shit" and get on with his big announcement. MJF says that he is sensing some hostility, which is the last thing he wants, then says the two biggest minute-for-minute draws are looking each other in the eye right now, and if Jericho is "the Demo God," he is "the ratings ruler." MJF says they have both been on top of their game since AEW started and have vanquished foe after foe to stay on top, but they have never faced each other in the ring, as two piranhas are never seen eating each other for they have mutual respect, and says that he and Jericho are predators. MJF then tells Jericho that their prey is adapting and that they must adapt, too, and proposes that the two of them work together. Jericho asks MJF what he is getting at, and after much hesitation, MJF says he wants to join The Inner Circle. Ortiz stops MJF before he can go any further and tells MJF that The Inner Circle do not want him, but Jericho says that they are a family who makes decisions together and that they need time, then proposes that the two of them meet one-on-one for a steak dinner next week. MJF accepts, and they both shake hands. Santana and Ortiz leave the ring with Jericho and talk with him on the stage while Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager look on, then Guevara and Hager leave the ring not long afterward.

We see Tony Schiavone at a salon with Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D., who says that , and introduces Rule #5: be the baddest bitch on the planet. Britt Baker is suddenly alarmed by the fact that Schiavone is next to her, then Schiavone's chest gets waxed. Baker then talks about how he has persevered against everything, and that the whole women's division is on notice now that she has returned. It is then announced that Britt Baker will be in action next week.

Orange Cassidy vs. "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes for the AEW TNT Championship ends in a 20-minute time limit draw. "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes retains the AEW TNT Championship. Darby Allin is seen watching from high up in the arena before the match. During the match, The Dark Order get ejected from ringside when a referee distraction attempt gets foiled by Orange Cassidy.

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Lance Archer. Suddenly, Jon Moxley attacks Archer, and security and referees quickly move in to separate both men.

Tony Schiavone interviews Matt Hardy and his family in the crowd. Matt says he feels "practically perfect in many, many ways," and that he and his family are enjoying tonight's show. Matt says he is proud of AEW and everyone who works here, and as of tonihgt, he is medically cleared to return to the ring. Suddenly, the video screen shows a hooded Sammy Guevara setting several pictures of Matt Hardy on fire with a Zippo lighter, followed by backstage footage of Guevara admitting it was him who attacked Matt Hardy at All Out and that he will send him back to the hospital, as it is not over between them when he sends him home for good. Matt Hardy says he now knows what his first order of business is: Sammy Guevara.

Teams are drawn for next week's four-way tag team match to decide a #1 contender for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) is the first team drawn, followed by the team of Alex "3" Reynolds and John "4" Silver of The Dark Order, the team of The Butcher and The Blade, and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson). When The Bucks show up, they shake hands with FTR and have a tense stand-off afterwards, then make it clear that they are here to superkick everybody. The Blade and John Silver get superkicked, which leads to a brawl in the ring that leaves The Young Bucks and Private Party in the ring. After both the Bucks and Private Party shake hands, Private Party gets superkicked.

Hikaru Shida retains the AEW Women's World Championship against Big Swole. During the match, it is announced as per Tony Khan that Lance Archer vs. Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship later tonight will be no disqualification.

In two weeks: Orange Cassidy vs. "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes for the AEW TNT Championship!

Eddie Kingston and The Lucha Bros. (Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix) guest on commentary for the next match.

We hear from Shawn Spears, who says that he is not stalking Scorpio Sky, who he says stole "a moment of memory" from him following his recent actions of saving people he is about to beat up, then says that Scorpio Sky owes him a moment and that he and Tully Blanchard plan on collecting.

Lance Archer - now with new music and entrance gear - attacks a member of the production crew on his way to the ring before the next match.

Jon Moxley retains the AEW World Championship against Lance Archer in a no-disqualification with a crucifix pin after Archer hits the Blackout. After the match, Eddie Kingston sends The Lucha Bros. (Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix) to the ring, and Rey Fenix hits Archer with a steel chair. Eddie then stops The Lucha Bros. from attacking Moxley, and Eddie tells Moxley they have been friends since 2009 as he helps him up, then says he is proud of Moxley for carrying AEW throughout the last year, and he and The Lucha Bros. celebrate with Moxley before Kingston hits Moxley with the Hurricana and tries to choke him out with a rear naked choke while The Lucha Bros. keep referees from entering the ring, and Kingston says that the AEW World Championship is everything he and The Lucha Bros. have been fighting for and that he will get Moxley.
