Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for October 10, 2020

We hear from "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams, who says that he came to ROH for the best competition, something he says he thrives on. He says that after sitting at home for six months, he is back home and has faced one of the best in Rust Taylor, who "knocked the ring rust" out of him. As he says that he hopes to face Taylor again, he says it is a long road to the top, and that he has faced Fred Yehi before and is ready to face him again. We also hear from "The Darewolf" PJ Black, who says he has a lot of moves in his back pocket ready to use, and while he had no information on Tony Deppen and took him a bit lightly, he will remember Deppen's name.

We hear from Jay Lethal, who says he has never faced David Finlay or Rocky Romero in a singles match before , and that he only cares about pushing himself to his limit and winning the Pure Championship. We also hear from David Finlay, who says that Jay Lethal is first name that comes to mind when one thinks of ROH, and that he intends to beat Jay Lethal tonight.

In Block A, Jay Lethal beats David Finlay via pinfall following the Lethal Injection in 14:58 to advance to the Block A finals. Both men shake hands after the match.

Vincent is in the ring. He says there is a lot of talk about change going around, but he does not need to change, for he is righteous and "spitting the truth like a fire-breathing dragon" and everyone has to listen. He says that at one time, he stood in the shadows and could almost feel the cold fingertips of his old self's hands dragging him to where he is standing, but he stands in the spotlight as the face of "Ring of Horror." He says that suffering is like everything else, as you learn to live with it and it gets to a point where it takes so good. Vincent then asks the fans to look into his eyes to hear what he has to say, and says that to be successful, one has to have friends, but to be very successful, you've got to make enemies. Suddenly, the "Follow The Trend" vignette than has been seen for weeks plays and reveals a returning Matt Taven, who is suddenly in the ring attacking Vincent and choking him with his belt. Taven then exposes the foam padding underneath the ring and knees Vincent in the face before ripping the padding off and exposing the wooden planks. Taven hits Vincent with the Climax on the exposed wooden planks, then pulls a table out from underneath the ring and sets it up. Taven rams Vincent into the ring post before laying Vincent on the table, punching him a few times and climbing up to the top rope. When Vincent tells Taven he doesn't have it in him to do it, Taven jumps off the top turnbuckle to put Vincent through a table with a splash, and tells Vincent that this is just the beginning.

We see another vignette for Ethan Carter III.

We hear from Jonathan Gresham, who says that nothing will stop him from getting him to his dynasty and doing what must be done. We also hear from Matt Sydal, who says he is the only man who can carry on the legacy of the Pure Championship.

In Block B, Jonathan Gresham beats Matt Sydal via submission in 13:27 with a Mexican surfboard into an ankle lock to advance to the Block B finals. Both men shake hands after the match, and Sydal bows to Gresham in the process.

We see yet another vignette from Ethan Carter III, but this time, we see Ethan Carter III at the end.
