In backstage footage from earlier today, Kelly Kincaid interviews Tyra Mae Steele, who has been grinding for this moment for over a year, not counting when she won a gold medal in women's freestyle wrestling in the 68 kg category, which she wears around her neck. She is the first female gold medalist to ever join WWE, but when she steps into the ring with Wren Sinclair, she will not discredit or underestimate her, as she has a couple of years on her in professional wrestling, even though she has a fighting spirit.
Wren Sinclair beats the debuting Tyra Mae Steele, scoring her first win in NXT after reversing a pinfall attempt with one of her own.
Luca Crusifino beats Uriah Connors after Connors knocks the hat off of Tony D'Angelo's head.
