Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for July 1, 2023

Uncle Phil and "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn vs. Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders ends with The O'Neill Brothers showing up and attacking Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders. Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders retain the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships.

Dustin Starr interviews Van Viciouss - who has a box of tissues - at the announce desk. Van Viciouss says he is here to talk about "an inspiration of a man" and that "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock has inspired people all over the world. All of a sudden, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock shows up with Jake and Elwood in neck braces, walkers and casts, with Baylock in a wheelchair. Blaylock thanks the people at Regional One for and says "Casanova" Colton Cage hit all of them with a foreign object, and that he hates cheaters. He says that they have a lot of health problems, especially himself - who has an injured disc as well as prostate problems - and that security has to help him get around.

Van Viciouss beats Zay Washington with a curb stomp following the distraction from Jake and Elwood on the outside. After the match, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock threatens to sue "Casanova" Colton Cage and his entire family as well as Dustin Starr. Van Viciouss says his victory was for Jimmy.

We hear from The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris). Mr. Chris says they are not just taking over Memphis, but they are taking over the United Wrestling Network. Simon says Brett Michaels knows what it takes, but Danny Limelight is coming into the most dangerous city in the world and he is putting his lights out.

We hear from Ellsworth Enterprises (Matt Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston). Matt Williams says he is the MVP and that he knocked Big John Dalton out, and that he will have to beat Gaston to get his belt back. He then shows off his championship ring before saying Ingomar Baseball sucks.

"Casanova" Colton Cage beats "Astonishing" Austin Mulitalo.

Backstage, Tim Bosby finds out that Tim Grind has a match with for for the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship. After wondering why Grind is skipping the line after one match, he says it does not matter, because he is the best and the only person deserving of the title.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels and Danny Limelight beat The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris). After the match, Limelight hands Brett Michaels the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship before both men have a staredown in the middle of the ring.
