Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for July 26, 2023

We hear from Darby Allin, who talks about how he got started in wrestling with AR Fox, how he got to know him and how he learned to become successful in wrestling with him. He says there is nobody no more deserving of a title shot than AR Fox, for without him, there would be no Darby Allin.

Orange Cassidy retains the AEW International Championship against AR Fox. After the match, Orange puts his glasses on AR Fox in a sign of respect, but AR Fox tears them up and punches Orange, and on the way out, he shows signs of remorse before he is confronted by Darby Allin for his actions. Afterwards, Jon Moxley gets in the ring and attacks Darby Allin, hitting him with Death Rider.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Chris Jericho and Don Callis. Callis announces that he has set Jericho up with a tag team match with Konosuke Takeshita to get Jericho behind the idea of joining his family. Jericho says he is willing to give this a try. When Callis tells him that their opponents are Daniel Garcia and Sammy Guevara, Jericho is hesitant at first, but agrees to the match. Callis also presents a painting of the two of them in 1995 with Bad News Allen watching over them.

We see footage of Hook with the FTW title in a subway. The subway passes, and the FTW title disappears. The subway passes again, and all that can be seen is the word "Hook."

We hear from The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta). Claudio tells everyone not to play with fire and not to play with them, and Jon Moxley shows up and tells everyone to stay in their lane or else they will get hurt.

Tony Schiavone interviews Jack Perry in the ring. Jack Perry says he beat Hook, and that after one book, Hook realized he could hang with the big boys and took a train to nowhere. He says that when he announced that he would win a championship, he was not talking about the FTW Championship, which was "created in a second-class company" created by "scumbags" like the fans. He says that the title was never recognized, but when he got his hands on it, it became the real deal because he is the real deal and he is "that damn good." Jack then tells Taz he would run circles around him and his friends from back in the day, then Jerry Lynn shows up and says ECW paved the way for the younger generation and without an ECW, there would never be a "Jungle Boy." Jerry then dares Jack Perry to keep running his mouth and get his ass kicked, and when Jack says he would like to see who would kick his ass, Jerry drops his microphone, and Jack tells him to relax and that they will dot his on his time. He then tells Jack perry to get in the ring with him next week so they can see who gets their ass kicked.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. Britt tells Taya Valkyrie that he was not surprised that Taya called him out, and says he is excited a first-time match-up with someone he admires. She then says that if Taya wants to swim with sharks, she will drive her to the deep end.

PAC beats Gravity with the Brutalizer.

In backstage footage from last week, Renee Paquette interviews MJF and Adam Cole. MJF admits he liked FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) back when they were his lackeys, as they were in the pinnacle of their career. After making fun of FTR's looks and Harwood's promo skills, he says he will take his fists and punch Dax so hard in the face he will spit out CM Punk's jockstrap, as he and Adam Cole are winning the tag team titles. Adam Cole says that at the start, it was all about winning gold, but now it has become about friendship, as he never thought they would be so friends and he has become his best friend. He says that MJF has nothing to worry about the AEW World Championship and says that MJF has become his best friend. MJF tells Adam Cole he will give Adam Cole a rematch for the AEW World Championship, then Roderick Strong rushes in and confronts MJF. Adam Cole steps in and tells Roderick Strong that he is out of line and that he has other friends, and that Roderick has to trust him.

In backstage footage from last week, Renee Paquette interviews FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler). Cash Wheeler says he looks forward to the match, but feels sad that Adam Cole is being dragged into this while MJF is a "generational ass-kisser" while FTR are "generational ass-kickers," especially after they have seen MJF for who he really is. Wheeler says he hates to do this, but MJF and Adam Cole have to learn not to mess with them. Dax Harwood says he could yell and scream about MJF all day, but he will not, and says MJF makes a mockery out of the business and their titles. He says there will be no dance routine or mockeries in their match and that their match will be a fight, and that he will "beat the shit out of MJF" and rip his eyeballs out for mentioning his family, and says that if they have to beat Adam Cole to do it, they will do it.

Swerve Strickland beats Darby Allin after Darby is attacked by someone in a blue hoodie, who is revealed to be AR Fox after the match. Afterwards, AR Fox attacks both Darby and Nick Wayne alongside Swerve, then Prince Nana hands AR Fox a Mogul Embassy shirt, which AR Fox raises up and puts on.

Backstage, Chris Jericho meets with the remaining members of The Jericho Appreciation Society ("Cool Hand" Angelo Parker, "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard, Tay Melo, Anna Jay A.S.). Angelo Parker pulls out his switchblade comb and says he is not handing it back yet, and he wants to know exactly where Jericho stands. Anna Jay A.S. tells Jericho that he is being selfish, as they spent all this time appreciating him but did not get appreciated back, and cannot give him 100%. Everyone else leaves one by one, with "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard telling Jericho to "figure it out...fast."

Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. beats Taya Valkyrie after countering the Road to Valhalla with the Lockjaw.

We see a video package for the Tag Team Eliminator Battle Royal this Friday on Rampage.

The Lucha Brothers (Penta el Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix) beat Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta) and The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley) in a three-way tag team match. During the match, Orange Cassidy shows up and hits Wheeler Yuta with the Orange Punch before brawling with Jon Moxley, and Trent Beretta hits Claudio Castagnoli with Strong Zero but cannot make the pinfall due to not being the legal man for his team. The Lucha Brothers then double team Trent so Penta can hit Trent with Fear Factor for the win. After the match, all three teams in the match continue to fight as it is announced that Trent Beretta, Jon Moxley and Penta el Zero Miedo will all face each other in an "Anything Goes" Match next week.
