Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for July 13, 2023

Backstage, we hear from Matt Sydal. Sydal says that out of respect for this business and Ring of Honor, when he has a problem with somebody, he has them join him for interview time. He brings out Prince Nana and "The Machine" Brian Cage and says that Brian Cage cannot beat "this Matt Sydal" not or ever. Cage says he is buff compared to Sydal and that he is a six-man champion, and if Sydal wants to challenge him, he will need two tag team partners. Sydal says he will have no problems finding partners and that Cage will lose his titles to them.

Big Bill beats Serpentico.

It is announced that Dalton Castle will square off with "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese and Shane Taylor will square off with "The Captain" Shawn Dean in an ROH World Television Championship Eliminator Tournament with the two finalists facing off next week and the winning finalist challenging Samoa Joe for the title at Death Before Dishonor.

Athena beats Ava Lawless with the crossface, then plants her face-first into the ROH Women's World Championship.

The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) and Stu Grayson beat Levi Night, Michael Allen Richard Clark and Evan Rivers in a six-man tag match. During the match, Evil Uno shows up and watches the match at the bottom of the ramp, and after the match, he smacks Michael Allen Richard Clark in the back with the chair he sat on and asks The Righteous and Stu Grayson if that is enough for them before telling Stu Grayson that he knows where he belongs.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Matt Sydal. Sydal says becoming the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion is his destiny and is important to him, then says he has gone on a spirit quest and a vision quest, and that he has met with the elders and has found a partner in both "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and Darius Martin.

"Legit" Leyla Hirsch beats Bambi Hall with the cross arm breaker.

Before the next match, "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese calls the fans "fat, disgusting obese Canadian trash" and says that Regina, Sasketchawan, Canada smells worse than anywhere else he has ever been to. He then decides to teach the fans and personal hygiene, "as nobody likes a smelly Regina," and cancel the rest of the show so everyone can do group training. As he leads everyone into stretching exercises, Dalton Castle shows up for the next match.

Dalton Castle beats "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese to advance in the ROH World Television Championship Eliminator Tournament.

Shane Taylor beats "The Captain" Shawn Dean to advance in the ROH World Television Championship Eliminator Tournament.
