Slammiversary 2023 - The Results



Jody Threat and The Death Dollz (Courtney Rush and Jessicka) beat "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw, Savannah Evans and Jai Vidal in a six-person tag match.



Before the next match, Joe Hendry says Kenny King loves to lose his clothes so much that he wants him to join in by losing the IMPACT Wrestling Digital Media Championship. Hendry says he is not losing any of his clothes and asks "Who do you think I am? Stripper Hendry?"

Kenny King beats Joe Hendry to become the IMPACT Wrestling Digital Media Champion - ending Hendry's record-breaking run at 247 days - after putting his feet on the middle rope for leverage and Sheldon Jean holds them down for the last second.



KUSHIDA beats Alan Angels, Jonathan Gresham, Kevin Knight, "Speedball" Mike Bailey and Jake Something - who has not been seen in IMPACT in over a year - in an Ultimate X Match to earn a guaranteed future shot at the IMPACT Wrestling X Division Championship.



We are introduced to the French commentary team of Marc Blondin and Handsome JF. A1 - professional wrestler and a former member of Team Canada - is seen in the front row.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Kenny King and Sheldon Jean. Kenny says Joe Hendry tried to put salt on him name for his Chippendale career, but he danced, dodged and stripped Joe Hendry of the Digital Media Championship before comparing Alex Shelley to MySpace and Chris Sabin to Twitter while stating that he is cutting edge and that his championship is the only one that matters.

Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly beat The Coven (Taylor Wilde and KiLynn King) to become the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts World Tag Team Champions!

Scott D'Amore's partner is revealed to be Eric Young, who has apparently left being a producer in WWE to be part of this match. (It is later revealed that Eric Young asked for his release and got it in April because he allegedly did not want to work with Vince McMahon. Also, Eric Young was killed off by Deaner in storyline when he left IMPACT for WWE.)



Scott D'Amore and Eric Young beat Bully Ray and Deaner. During the match, Bully Ray kicks Scott D'Amore in the groin in full view of the ref, and when Bully Ray demands that the referee disqualify him, the referee removes his shirt and leaves, and special guest enforcer Darren McCarty acts as the referee for the rest of the match. Later on in the match, Kon pulls McCarty out of the ring, and when he attacks Eric Young, A1 jumps the barricade and clotheslines Kon out of the ring. McCarty then hits Bully Ray with a Stunner before he and Eric Young give Bully the What's Up? D'Amore and McCarty choke slam Bully Ray through a table, then Deaner swings at D'Amore with a hockey stick with the Canadian Flag connected to it. D'Amore gives Deaner the Canadian Destroyer, and Eric Young hits Deaner with the top rope elbow drop for the win. A1 gets in the ring to celebrate with Young and D'Amore after the match.

We hear from "The National Treasure" Nick Aldis. He says that to be come IMPACT Wrestling World Championship is to hold twenty-one years of history, and that tonight is Alex Shelley's night to prove that he belongs as part of that history. He says it takes a hell of a man to win a championship, but a better man to hold it, and if Shelley cannot handle the pressure, the occasion and the moment, for if he cannot, he will be waiting for him and it will take just one mistake to close the book on Shelley's reign and open the book for his own.

Lio Rush beats Chris Sabin to become the IMPACT Wrestling X Division Championship! Before the match begins, Lio Rush hits Sabin in the head. The ringside physician says he does not want Sabin to wrestle, but Sabin shoves the doctor away and gets in the ring. Lio Rush gets the win after hitting the Final Hour twice.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Alex Shelley, who simply walks away when asked if Chris Sabin losing the X Division Championship affects his match.

Subculture (Mark Andrews and "Flash" Morgan Webster) beat the team of Moose and Brian Myers, ABC ("Inevitable" Ace Austin and Chris Bey) and the team of Rich Swann and Sami Callihan in a four-way tag team match to become the IMPACT Wrestling World Tag Team Champions! During the match, The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) pull Ace Austin out of the ring before attacking Chris Bey, and Subculture is able to take out everyone else and get the win and the titles.

Eddie Edwards beats Frankie Kazarian. During the match, Kazarian inadvertently knocks down the referee, and when Alisha Edwards pulls out a Kendo stick from underneath the ring to hit Kazarian with, Traci Brooks fights her. Kazarian makes Eddie tap to the crossface chickenwing, but the referee is still down. As Kazarian revives the referee, Eddie hits Kazarian with a Kendo stick and lays him out with the Boston Knee Party for the win.

A violinist plays "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo in on the way to the next match.

Trinity beats "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo with Starstruck to become the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts World Champion!



Alex Shelley retains the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship against "The National Treasure" Nick Aldis after Aldis tries to use the World title as a weapon only for Shelley to send him head-first into it with a DDT before hitting Shell Shock to retain. After the match, "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander makes his first IMPACT Wrestling appearance since relinquishing the World Championship due to injury, and both Alexander and Shelley meet in the middle of the ring. Alexander simply declares "I'm back" to close out the show.
