Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling presented by CarShield recap for August 7, 2022

The Institution (Jack Banning, Hunter Freeman, Brendan Divine, Honest John) beat Big Hoss, Miggy Rose, Michael Hopkins and Dom Kubrick in an eight-man tag match.

Backstage, Jack Famer interviews "Poppin'" EJ Sparks, who says that he is excited to take on "Outlandish" Zicky Dice and prove he is more than capable of handling United Wrestling Network gold.

Jordan Cruz beats Vinnie Massaro.

Backstage, Megan Harmon interviews JD Drake, who says that the Television Championship means as much as, if not more than, the World Championship where he comes from and that it carries a different stigma than anything else on the planet. He says that the men he grew up with fought for the telvision title more than anything and that he will take Papo Esco back in time in their match, as the Television Championship is made for workhorses.

"Outlandish" Zicky Dice beats "Poppin'" EJ Sparks by disqualification after Zicky Dice puts the referee in front of him to block the Roundhouse Rhythm. When EJ Sparks checks on the referee, the referee disqualifies him.

Backstage, Jack Farmer interviews The Bodega (Danny Limelight, "King FatBoy" Papo Esco, Slice Boogie). After Danny Limelight says that he will take on anyone from anywhere, a representative from United Wrestling Network shows up and says Danny has proven one of the biggest stars on offer. He then puts Danny in a Golden Opportunity qualifier against Slice Boogie, much to the bewilderment of The Bodega. He then puts Danny in a Golden Opportunity qualifier against Slice Boogie, much to the bewilderment of The Bodega. Papo Esco says somebody has to get the gold in order to prove that The Bodega is the hottest thing ever.

Backstage, Jack Farmer interviews Frankie Kazarian, who says that he had not been in a good mood and that "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater has not helped. He says it is better for California to have no king than to have a bad one. Kazarian says he has been twenty-four years of blood, sweat and tears and that when Jordan Clearwater goes one-on-one with him, he will freeze up "like Windows 95." He says that while Clearwater will still be "The Golden Boy," he will be the better man.

"Timeless" Levi Shapiro beats Ju Dizz to qualify for the Golden Opportunity despite Honest John distracting the referee.

"King FatBoy" Papo Esco retains the United Television Championship against JD Drake, who gets his shoulder up too late. After the match, Drake says he got his shoulder up in time, but nevertheless, he places the United Television Championship on Papo Esco's shoulder.
