Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen and Fallon Henley. When asked what is next for them, The Schism (Joe Gacy, Jagger Reid, Rip Fowler) show up and mock Brooks Jensen, who is more than happy to fight them as Joe Gacy offers to give him guidance and direction.
Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams are in the ring. Trick says life has been good for them since The Great American Bash, then announces a "Melo-bration" for Carmelo's birthday. Carmelo says he is a money player and all he makes is money moves, and issues an open challenge for the North American Championship. He says that the next person to get in the ring can step up and get stepped on, and that person is Giovanni Vinci. But as Vinci slowly makes his way to the ring, Nathan Frazer runs in and beat Vinci to the ring. Giovanni Vinci then guests on commentary.
Carmelo Hayes retains the NXT North American Championship after Nathan Frazer inadvertently knocks over Giovanni Vinci's drink. This leads to Vinci pushing Frazer off the top rope as Trick Williams distracts the referee.
We see a video package chronicling the feud between Solo Sikoa and Von Wagner from Solo Sikoa's point of view.
Wade Barrett moderates a summit between JD McDonagh and Bron Breakker. McDonagh says he wants to talk about the here and now and the near future, and admits that he has never been in the ring with someone like Breakker. He says that he can see the fire in Breakker's eye, but he sees a fire that he has to stomp out and a roadmap for the pain he has to inflict, for the ring is his theater and he plans to tear the meat from his bones and become NXT Champion. Breakker says he has never been in the ring with someone like JD McDonagh, and after studying his NXT UK career, he says that McDonagh is so smart that he knows to target his mind. He then says everyone has a plan until he breaks them in half. He says that when the NXT Championship is on the line, he is an animal, and McDonagh will be in a lot of pain. McDonagh says the both of them believe everything that comes out of their mouths, but the difference between them is that Breakker endures pain while he welcomes it. When it comes time to sign the contract, McDonagh says he sees fear and apprehension in Breakker's face and demands Breakker sign first. Breakker signs after saying he does not fear anything with a heartbeat. McDonagh says this summit will not end in violence, but it will end in blood. He then pricks his finger and signs the contract in his own blood, much to the surprise of Breakker and Wade Barrett. Breakker raises the NXT Championship when McDonagh goes for a handshake.
At the Diamond Mine gym, The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) meet Apollo Crews, who wishes them luck in their match. Both men admit they are fans of each other, and The Creed Brothers give him an open invite to their gym. Apollo tells The Creed Brothers to watch their backs and kick some ass in their match tonight. Damon Kemp shows up and says Roderick Strong will be late but will be arriving, much to the disappointment of The Creed Brothers, who have a game plan to go over.
Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell tries to interview a very distraught Toxic Attraction (Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne), but none of the three members are in the mood. Mandy Rose then heads to the ring for her match.
Mandy Rose retains the NXT Women's Championship against Sarray. After the match, Mandy Rose warns Zoey Stark that what happened to Sarray is what awaits her, then grabs a chair and rams it into Sarray's injured knee. Zoey Stark runs in and fights Mandy, saving Sarray and forcing Mandy to retreat.
We see a vignette for Tiffany Stratton, who says that as a gifted and superior athlete, she has no time for losers like Wendy Choo. She also says that her talent is why the women's division is obsessed for her. She also says that she is not okay with losing unlike the rest of the women's division, and says that everything she does is pretty.
Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Axiom, who says that he is glad to be here and that his timing could not be more perfect. Duke Hudson shows up and says Axiom does not belong here, as he is undersized and undeserving and the difference is night and day. Axiom says he is not afraid of Hudson, who calls Axiom a nerd before smacking him in the face. This starts a backstage brawl that makes its way to the ring. Hudson soon lays Axiom out with a spinning side slam in the center of the ring, then grabs the microphone and says that this is why the fans should not believe in heroes, as heroes will let them down. Axiom grabs the microphone and says that things have changed, and that he can make it. He then challenges Hudson to a match.
Axiom beats Duke Hudson with a roll-up afte countering Hudson's strength.
Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Wes Lee, who says that odds have gotten the better of him and that Trick Williams is far from the next Muhammad Ali and a legend in his own mind. Next week, Trick can bring his boxing skills while he brings his wrestling skills, and they can even have a round system. He then tells Trick it is his move.
The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) retain the NXT Tag Team Championships against The D'Angelo Family (Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo) after D'Angelo goes for a crowbar only for Santos Escobar to suddenly show up, keep him from using it and clock him in the face. Legado del Fantasma (Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro, Elektra Lopez) soon turn on D'Angelo and Lorenzo, and The Creed Brothers retain.
We hear from Roxanne Perez, who says that she has dealt with every emotion possible for the last three weeks after Cora Jade destroyed their friendship and tag team, for when her friends succeed, she succeeds. She first thought that it was Toxic Attraction who attacked her, and that it hurt when Cora Jade took her out, as she never thought Cora would do that. She says she does not want to be associated with Cora - who she knows better than anyone - again. Roxanne says her denial turned into anger when she threw her women's tag team title belt into the trash, and that she does not know who this Cora Jade is. She then says they will settle this once and for all in two weeks at Heatwave.
Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Cora Jade, who says that Roxanne Perez's sob story should not be believed and that she is making her the bad guy to elevate her career while she is the talk of the town. Mandy Rose shows up and says she asks Cora Jade to take Zoey Stark for her, saying that if she does, she will take Zoey's place in her title match. Cora says she will think about it.
We see another video package chronicling Von Wagner's side of the feud between Von Wagner and Solo Sikoa.
Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Katana Chance and Kayden Carter. Katana says she and Kayden went through a lot, but they are now champions. Kayden says that Katana is her rock and that they were on a long, hard road, but they never gave up. Katana says the fans never gave up on them, and the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships are going to stay with them.
Joe Gacy beats Brooks Jensen after Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) run interference. After the match, Joe Gacy says that he can fill the void in Cameron Grimes' heart. When Javier Bernal tells Grimes backstage that the message is for him, Grimes walks off.
Backstage, Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo - angry at Legado del Fantasma's (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro, Elektra Lopez) betrayal - get a call from Santos Escobar, who says that they are almost even and that they cannot work together. D'Angelo says this must end in one final accord, and Escobar accepts.
Alba Fyre beats Lash Legend after avoiding being hit by her own bat by Legend.
Backstage, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams meet some women who have some car trouble as Trick explains a rounds system to Carmelo.
We hear from Nikkita Lyons, who says that she heard what Kiana James had to say about her and that she owns who she is, then says she has dealt with women like Kiana her whole life and is not changing for anybody. She tells Kiana to come find her in the middle of the ring next week if she wants to change her mind.
Solo Sikoa beats Von Wagner in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
