Generation NXT UK - NXT UK recap for May 6, 2021

Ilja Dragunov vs. "Bomber" Dave Mastiff is stopped after a right hand from Dragunov gives Mastiff a facial injury that busts him open.

We hear from Xia Brookside, who says she will win because she has been working her way for the ground up for the past two-and-a-half years and shethat will be giving it her all, because Kay Lee Ray is not a champion to be proud of. She says being NXT UK Women's Champion would be a dream come true, and that she will fight with pride and passion for the fans.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Assistant Sid Scala makes "The Lucky Yin" Kenny Williams aware of the consequences of losing tonight's match with Amir Jordan. Williams is fully aware.

We hear from Stevie Turner, who says she has a bad habit of taking things to the next level, and while NXT UK has the best women's division in the world, it is a bit too two-dimensional while she is four-dimensional. She says she will not stop until she beats everyone and works her way to the top, and that when the fans watch her wrestle, they will see the future of wrestling.

Backstage, Ilja Dragunov says "Bomber" Dave Mastiff wanted to help him, but his lack of self-control has consequences, especially for those he respects, and with that, things have to change.

In backstage footage from earlier this week, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang say they will get back on top, then they are met by Rampage Brown, who is wanting to know where Joe Coffey is. Wolfgang offers to face Rampage Brown in a match, which Brown accepts.

We hear from Isla Dawn, who says she is an entity unlike what the rest of the women's division has ever seen before. She says that Kay Lee Ray as a stepping stone to further herself, and now she has to watch as her title reign burns. She says to become the NXT UK Women's Champion would be worth more than anything in the world and that all she had to sacrifice was her soul.

It's time for SPRNVA Sessions with Noam Dar and Sha Samuels. After Noam Dar says that he does not need validation from the fans, he and Sha Samuels welcome tonight's guest Nathan Frazer. After Noam Dar shows disappointment with Nathan Frazer making a return appearance, Nathan Frazer states that "Ben Carter" was a name he used to keep his parents from finding out that he was a professional wrestler, and when he moved to the United States and started playing college sports, he could not have his coach finding out he was wrestling either, but now he no longer has to hide his real name. He says that it is well-known that he came to NXT UK to learn traditional English wrestling and blend it into his current style to become a more complete wrestler. Sha Samuels then says that it winds him up that everyone is singing his praises, and tells Frazer that he is not a true British wrestler and that he would drown in the ring with a real British wrestler, for he is a fraud, a pretender and a one-trick pony. Noam Dar agrees with Sha Samuels and calls himself a "grandmaster of British wrestling," saying Nathan Frazer would not last one minute against him, much less three minutes in a Heritage Rules Match. When Frazer asks if this is a challenge, Sha Samuels says it is, and Frazer says it would be something if Frazer beat "the grandmaster of British wrestling" at his own game.

We hear from Jinny, who says she does not care who she faces as this is her time and she will not let anyone stand between her and the NXT UK Women's Championship. She says she has studied everything that Kay Lee Ray does, and that this is her division and that she was born for greatness.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Assistant Sid Scala makes Amir Jordan aware of the consequences of losing tonight's match with "The Lucky Yin" Kenny Williams. Amir is aware.

We see another vignette for Subculture ("Flash" Morgan Webster, Mark Andrews, Dani Luna). The three of them saying being who they are means taking risks and refusing to conform, and that their passion, dedication and loyalty makes them a perfect fit.

We see a video package of Tyler Bate and A-Kid where both of them talk about their friendship, their two matches, their growth, weaknesses and maturity throughout those matches and their upcoming Heritage Cup match.

We hear from Dani Luna, who says that she is the strongest woman in the match and the only one to know what true loss feels like. She says it is time to stand eye-to-eye with Kay Lee Ray at the top, for she is hardened to Kay Lee Ray's games now and it is now inevitable that she will beat her.

Trent Seven beats Saxon Huxley. During the match, it is announced that "Bomber" Dave Mastiff has suffered a broken nose in his match from earlier tonight. Later on in the match, Sam Gradwell shows up and says that while Trent Seven may consider himself a founding father, he still cannot get the job done.

We hear from Emilia McKenzie, who says that she will win next week and prove that she is the toughest in the women's division despite being the youngest. She says she has shown Kay Lee Ray what she is made of and has her running scared, and says she will end her reign and prove she is the best women's wrestler in the UK.

In backstage footage from moments ago, refrees have to stop Amele - who is angry she has been overlooked for a shot at the NXT UK Women's Championship - from attacking Xia Brookside.

It's time for SPRNVA Sessions. After mentioning next week's match with Sha Samuels against Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate and Trent Seven), Noam Dar introduces tonight's guests: Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang), who help themselves to the couch, forcing Noam Dar to sit on the fold-out metal chairs. Mark Coffey says they have taken time to re-train and re-focus, and have realized they are held to a higher standard in the tag team division and have picked themselves back up. Wolfgang says he is trying to keep his temper under control, not let anyone get under his skin and focus on the Gallus goals. Joe Coffey says he wants to go on a rampage, then Eddie Dennis shows up and addresses Mark Coffey's statement of Gallus being held to a higher standard in the tag team division, and says the only reason they had championships to lose to Pretty Deadly (Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley) is because they got involved in his business. Joe Cofey confronts Eddie Dennis, who says that if he wants to go on a rampage, then he can face the one person he has avoided since NXT UK started: him. Joe Coffey says he is ready to go next week, then T-Bone and Primate attack Gallus from behind. This leads to a brawl between Gallus and the team of Eddie Dennis, T-Bone and Primate that referees have to quickly break up; all the while, Noam Dar enjoys a carrot stick and a glass of orange juice.

Jinny says Piper does not deserve to be here, as she is a small fish in a big pond who wears the same dirty outfit each and every week, and next week, when Piper steps in the ring with her, she will end up another fashion victim.

Next week: Eddie Dennis vs. Joe Coffey!

She says she proved the doubters wrong and stayed champion. MacKenzie says she wants to beat the best, and sooner or later, their paths will cross. Kay Lee Ray says there is no reason for their paths not to cross right now, and as MacKenzie gets in the ring, she is attacked by Isla Dawn. Suddenly, Meiko Satomura runs into the ring and fights alongside MacKenzie, and they send Kay Lee Ray and Isla Dawn running. (Emelia MacKenzie is formerly known as Millie McKenzie.)

This allows Pretty Deadly to hit Spilt Milk on Jordan to retain.
