Generation NXT UK - NXT UK recap for April 3, 2019

"The Lucky Yin" Kenny Williams and Amir Jordan beat Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel with a schoolkid pin to Barthel.

Backstage, Radzi interviews Rhea Ripley, who says that she let Piper Niven off easy before warning that she will make her dream of being in NXT UK a living nightmare. Piper Niven makes her NXT UK debut next week.

General Manager Johnny Saint and Assistant Sid Scala are interviewed. As they talk about the United Kingdom Championship match at NXT TakeOver: New York, Jordan Devlin shows up demanding to know why Walter has a title shot while he is on the sidelines. Scala states that the contracts have been signed, but warns them that he will be watching the match very closely.

Kay Lee Ray beats Isla Dawn in her NXT UK debut.

Backstage, Radzi interviews Toni Storm, but it isn't long before Jinny runs in and lays her out.

We hear from "The Kiwi Buzzsaw" Travis Banks, who admits that he used to admire and emulate Kassius Ohno, but is disappointed at how elitist Kassius Ohno is. He says that if Ohno thinks he is so good, then he should get in the ring with him and prove it.

Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake) show up. Gibson says that he and Drake are not dressed to compete, as he is not medically cleared after Oney Lordan turned his eardrum to mincemeat; nevertheless, they are still NXT UK Tag Team Champions. He then says that he has been hearing numerous people slagging them off, and says they have a chip on their shoulder after watching everyone back the wrong talent for years to the point that they have been leapfrogged over following the departure of the old guard. Gibson proclaims that they are not willing to wait any longer, and at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool, they took their places as tag team champions, but now they are hearing more rumors. He states that the basis of "The Lucky Yin" Kenny Williams and Amir Jordan being in line for their titles is groundless, and they have been in the business for only five minutes. While the old guard is gone, they own the locker room now.

Next week: The Kiwi Buzzsaw" Travis Banks vs. Kassius Ohno! Jinny vs. Toni Storm for the NXT UK Women's Championship!

Joe Coffey beats Trent Seven with a double leg crab.
