Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for April 5, 2019

"The Canadian Destroyer" Petey Williams beats Jake Crist, Trey Miguel, Idris Abraham, Aiden Prince and Ace Austin in a six-man scramble match.

Backstage, The Latin-American Xchange (Konnan, Santana, Ortiz) talk about their match with The Lucha Bros. (Pentagon Jr. and Fenix). Konnan says that Full Metal Mayhem is the match where The Lucha Bros. will get their respect, and afterwards, there will be respect between all parties.

Backstage, Melissa Santos interviews Taya Valkyrie, who refuses to give Jordynne Grace another opportunity at the Knockouts title before stating that she will not go through the same things Johnny Impact did. Suddenly, Madison Rayne shows up and says she's been in a place worse than The Undead Realm and says that Taya is taking notes from what her husband Johnny does. Jordynne shows up and argues with Madison for trying to take her place in line. Taya tells the two of them to get in the ring for a match where the winner faces her at Rebellion, then leaves. Madison tells Jordynne she doesn't stand in lines.

oVe (Sami Callihan and Madman Fulton) beat Rich Swann and Willie Mack. After the match, Callihan, Fulton and Dave Crist stomp on Swann, then Tommy Dreamer shows up and hits Crist with a steel chair. Fulton confronts Dreamer, but Callihan holds him back before they both retreat.

Backstage, Rolando Mendenez interviews Johnny Impact and tells him "The Machine" Brian Cage is not in the arena tonight, and Johnny asks Menendez if he has heard of John Stossel before demanding he ask an actual question. As he talks about what he has done to Brian Cage, Killer Kross shows up. Johnny tells Kross he will get his title shot. Kross says all Johnny cares about is his title, his wife Taya Valkyrie and his media inconveniences, and says that Johnny will pay the toll soon.

The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier, Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz) talk about Trey Miguel's glasses (which cover up a black eye) and are met by Moose again, who shows up with a girlfriend. Moose says he can spruce the clubhouse up however they want it, then mentions he has Zachary Wentz in a match next week. He then walks away with Trey's glasses.

The GWN Flashback of the Week is Rosemary vs. Su Yung in a Casket Match from May 3, 2018.

Rosemary is seen in a cemetery. We see scenes of her confronting Kevin Sullivan and being told that this is all on her as Rosemary walks to Allie's grave. She tells Allie that everything that happened wasn't her fault, and blames herself, saying she could have done more. She then says she will do more, and that it is time to take the battle into her own hands. She then disappears.

Jordynne Grace beats Madison Rayne to face Taya Valyrie for the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Championship at Rebellion. After the match, Jordynne is attacked from behind by Taya Valkyrie. She gets the upper hand, but is distracted by Johnny Impact, and Taya Valkyrie goes on the attack. Before Johnny can hit Jordynne with the Countdown To Impact, "The Machine" Brian Cage shows up and chases him and Taya away.

We see another vignette for "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander. Afterwards, Ethan Page is talking with Alexander, who tells him that Impact made him look like a badass. Alexander reminds Page that they are both the best in Ontario, and Page says that soon, they will both remind the rest of the world.

Rohit Raju beats Fallah Bahh after Gama Singh distracts the referee, Raj Singh hits Fallah with a cheap shot and Rohit Raju uses the ropes for leverage. After the match, "The Smoke Show" Scarlett Bordeaux shows up and distracts Raju and Singh so that Fallah Bahh can get the last word. Bordeaux stops Fallah so that can she hit both of them with a running hip attack.

We see Cody Deaner show his cousin Jake Deaner his contract for Impact Wrestling, and Jake finds out he's gotten one as well. They both sign their contracts, and it is announces that they are coming soon.

We see a video package of Gail Kim's career in Impact Wrestling.

Backstage, Melissa Santos interviews Tessa Blanchard, who says that Gail Kim is one of the best in the world of her own era, when the bar was set pretty low. She says that Gail is trying to relive her former glory, but will be exposed as a fraud at Rebellion.

Eli Drake and Eddie Edwards beat The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz) after The Lucha Bros. (Pentagon Jr. and Fenix) show up and distract Ortiz as well as the referee, allowing Drake and Edwards to win with a Kendo stick shot followed by the Boston Knee Party on Ortiz. After the match, The Lucha Bros. lay LAX out before setting up a table, which they put Santana through.
