Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for April 19, 2019

"The Smoke Show" Scarlett Bordeaux and Fallah Bahh beat The Desi Hit Squad (Rohit Raju and Raj Singh).

We hear from Lucha Bros. (Pentagon Jr. and Fenix), who tell Eli Drake and Eddie Edwards that they have the opportunity to face the best tag team on the planet and that nobody will take the tag team titles from them.

We see The Deaners (Cody and Jake Deaner) train for their Impact Wrestling debut next week.

Backstage, Eli Drake and Eddie Edwards know they have tag team gold in the palms of their hands, and believe that tonight, everything will come to fruition.

We hear from Tommy Dreamer, who says that he and Madman Fulton are quite similar and that tonight, Fulton will be in the fight of his life and that their similarities will collide.

Dezmond Xavier beats Moose after the interference attempts from Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz.

Backstage, Kiera Hogan is met by Rosemary, who tells her to go away. Kiera refuses to back down, and Rosemary attacks her before choking her with a chain.

Backstage, Moose tells the producers to cut his match because him losing to The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz, Trey Miguel) on national television is not happening, and says that if The Rascalz want to gang up on him, then two can play that game.

The GWN Flashback of the Week is The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz) vs. The OGz (Homicide and Hernandez) in a 5150 Street Fight at Slammiversary 2018.

We hear from Tessa Blanchard, who says that Gail Kim can't help but anger her and that she is trying to stop her from surpassing her, and says that at 23 years old, she is the greatest women's wrestler on the planet and on her way to becoming the best of all time. She says that Gail is famous for "screwing some famous chef" and wonders if her husband knows the real Gail Kim, and says that if he doesn't, she will tell him herself. It is then apparent that she is in Gail's husband Robert Irvine's restaurant, and she goes inside to look for Robert. She harasses everyone and causes a scene before finding out Robert is not here, then sends the message that if Gail wants to make it personal, it is now personal.

Backstage, Melissa Santos interviews Gail Kim, who says that she and Robert will not be pressing charges against "an entitled, spoiled brat" as Tessa Blanchard reminds her of her younger self and that the only thing that will teach Tessa a lesson is beating her in the ring.

Madman Fulton beats Tommy Dreamer despite Dreamer running at him with a Kendo stick. After the match, Fulton attacks Dreamer again, but Willie Mack stops him with a steel chair. Jake and Dave Crist run out to ambush Mack from behind, but Rich Swann makes the save and takes down both Crist brothers. Suddenly, Sami Callihan returns from being ejected at the beginning of the match and chokes Swann with a baseball bat before hitting him with a piledriver. Sami Callihan puts a chair around Dreamer's right arm and smacks the chair with the baseball bat as Fulton and the Crist brothers hold Willie Mack and Rich Swann back, then hits Swann in the gut with the bat.

We hear from Rob Van Dam, who says that he is still wrestling internationally and bringing back memories for former fans to this day. He says he will have to teach some wrestlers the difference between imitating him and actually being him.

We hear from The Deaners (Cody and Jake Deaner), who go big with a John Deere tractor.

In the trainer's room, Willie Mack and Rich Swann learn that Tommy Dreamer has limited mobility and is headed to a hospital. Swann thanks Mack for having his back, then Killer Kross shows up after Swann leaves. Kross tells Mack that Swann is less than trustworthy, and asks him if he has Johnny Impact to mess with before challenging him to a match next week.

Before the next match, Taya Valkyrie says she left Canada because it is a black hole that is popular for being apologetic, and says she is not sorry for announcing that she is not wrestling tonight for the fans and definitely not against Madison Rayne. Not surprisingly, Madison Rayne attacks Taya Valkyrie as she tries to leave.

Madison Rayne beats Taya Valkyrie with a schoolkid pin after Taya is distracted by Jordynne Grace, who tosses Taya back into the ring as Taya tries to back out of the match.

Rolando Menendez interviews Johnny Impact in the latter's home. As John E. Bravo cleans the pool in the background, Johnny says he has no apologies for his actions, and says that while "The Machine" Brian Cage is good, he is not good at thinking. As for John E. Bravo, Johnny says he is whatever he wants him to be, and that John E. Bravo is an upgrade from being clobbered by Brian Cage. He says that Brian Cage doesn't get that it doesn't matter what people think. Johnny says that at Rebellion, Cage will have thought nothing through, and that he can get at anybody in Cage's life before retaining the World title as the fans talk about Cage never living up to his full potential due to a lack of understanding about the business due to his inability to think creatively and his lack of understanding of the business becoming his downfall.

"The Machine" Brian Cage shows up and grabs Don Callis as he demands to know what is going on here. Callis says there is a plan between himself and Scott D'Amore for a special guest referee, then Cage heads to the back. After Cage leaves, Callis tries to call Scott D'Amore before Cage gets his hands on him.

Backstage, Don Callis calls Scott D'Amore, telling him that "The Machine" Brian Cage is coming after him. Cage shows up demanding a plan, then Lance Storm shows up and tells Cage to be professional and have some integrity. Cage proposes to D'Amore that Storm be the special guest referee, and D'Amore likes the idea, much to the confusion of Storm.

The Lucha Bros. (Pentagon Jr. and Fenix) retain the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Championships against Eli Drake and Eddie Edwards despite the interference attempts by The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz). After the match, LAX and Lucha Bros. brawl their way to the back. Eddie Edwards checks on Eli Drake afterwards, and Eli forgives Eddie. Eli then attacks Eddie from behind as soon as Eddie turns his back, then smacks him with a Kendo stick.
