Tony Schiavone interviews Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita in the ring after acknowledging the covered painting in one corner of the ring. Callis says he has learned a lot about Japanese culture from Takeshita, and that the top wrestler in the promotion is called "the ace." He calls Takeshita better than all of the aces, and while beating Kenny Omega once makes one an ace, beating Kenny Omega twice in a week makes one "The Alpha." As confetti rains down, Don Callis decrees that Takeshita will be addressed as "The Alpha," then states that he feels nothing about destroying Kenny Omega due to having no empathy, which he considers weakness. He says that everything has taken from Omega and they have taken a little more, and after breaking his body, he will break his heart, and reveals the next target of "The Don Callis Family" by revealing a painting of Kota Ibushi with a sword over him. Callis says they will not just beat Ibushi or take him from Chris Jericho, they are going to burn, skin and butcher him, and that while they are spilling Ibushi's blood in the ring, Jericho will be watching helplessly at home "like the pathetic cuck that [he is]." He then drives a screwdriver into the head of Ibushi in the painting before handing a bouquet to Takeshita, who shoves it at Schiavone. Callis then punches the painting off of the easel.

He then talks about how he has seen Guevara grow over the years, maturing, winning championship gold and starting a family, and says that he is proud of Guevara and everything he has accomplished in the last four years. Guevara says the usual thing to do what to talk trash about his opponent in Jericho, but he is not going to do that because Jericho has always been an inspiration to him. He then thanks Jericho for changing his and others' lives, for without Jericho, there is no AEW. He then says he did not come to AEW just to be Chris Jericho's sidekick, but to become world champion and have people looking at him like they do Jericho, "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley, and he cannot do that while in Jericho's shadow. After Guevara says he has to win next week, Jericho says he agrees, and that he brought Guevera here to become a big money draw, which he is getting closer and closer to every week, and he has to be outside of his influence and do it on his won to make that happen. He calls their match next week the biggest match of their careers and that Guevara must win, and that if Guevara is to win, he must be better than he has ever been. After Jericho says he is not ready, Guevara says this is what is has come to and that he will beat Jericho and earn his respect before they both win the tag team titles. Both men shake hands, then have a staredown in the middle of the ring. Jericho tells Guevara he will give him the match of his life and that he will beat the living hell out of him, and he expects the same thing out of him. Guevara says he would not want it any other way.

He then says he will make sure Adam Page will not be comfortable on the way there, then Brian Cage attacks Adam Page from behind while Prince Nana dances again. Suddenly, The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) superkick Brian Cage and dance with Prince Nana, who gets superkicked by The Young Bucks as soon as he turns around.
Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Daniel Garcia, who would rather talk about his recent viral success rather than Chris Jericho or Sammy Guevara.
