Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for September 30, 2023

Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders retain the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships against Ellsworth Enterprises (Matt Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston), the team of Gio Savage and Draco, The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont), and the team of "Big Swole" Justin Cole and "Casanova" Colton Cage in a Five-Starr Five Way Match.

We hear from The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris). Mr. Chris says that while Too Cool II (Tim Grind and Flex) run West Tennessee, they run Memphis. Simon says Tim Grind brought Flex here to get his head beaten in, and that he will knock their teeth out before Lance finishes the job.

We see footage of Tommy Dreamer defending the IMPACT Wrestling Digital Media Championship against "Main Event" Bradley after Bradley tries to run off with the belt and Dreamer makes the match hardcore.

Backstage, Terrence Ward interviews "Astonishing" Austin Mulitalo and Brandon Berretta. Austin says he only teamed with Brandon because he was told to and that if would give him an opportunity, and that he never wanted to do it and he wanted to go solo. Brandon says Austin only cares about being a star, and says he can give him an astonishing beatdown today. This leads to a one-on-one match between the two.

"Astonishing" Austin Mulitalo beats Brandon Berretta after Berretta nearly sandwiches the referee into the corner with Mulitalo and Mulitalo hits Berretta with a low blow.

Backstage, King Cobra is seen filling out a job application.

Backstage, Terrence Ward interviews Tim Bosby and Mackenzie Morgan. Bosby says "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane cheated to beat him last week and cost him his match with Big Nico, but now he has Mackenzie as back-up. Mackenzie says she has always had Bosby's back, and she and Bosby say that they will handle Austin and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane.

Dustin Starr interviews The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor, "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt, Brother Bruce) at the announce desk. Reverend Ash Taylor hopes that Big John Dalton, as The Righteous Path is about to show what they can provide for him. He also says that Big John Dalton did not say no to him, either.

"Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt beats "The Hell Archer" Eric Fallen after Brother Bruce into the apron and Rembrandt whips Fallen into Brother Bruce.

Barnabas the Leader - now known as Barnabas the Producer - and The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) run into JTG. The L.A. Hustlers clearly want nothing to do with Barnabas, and JTG wants nothing to do with any of them. The Hustlers then say they are through with Barnabas.

Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Clique ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Van Viciouss, Secret Service) at the announce desk. Viciouss says nobody is worried about NZO because it is a new week and he has a new opponent: "Mr. No Days Off" Fred Rosser, who "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock calls out. Fred Rosser shows up, and Blaylock says The Hollywood Clique is "all that," not Rosser, and makes fun of Rosser for being gay saying that Van Viciouss is "everybody's boyfriend's favorite wrestler." Rosser says that no matter where he wrestles, the match will be worth millions of dollars, and that Viciouss will be leaving with three boots: "two on your feet and one in your ass."

Fred Rosser beats Van Viciouss with the crossface chickenwing after escaping Secret Service's grasp and avoiding a punch to the face from Van Viciouss.
