Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for September 21, 2023

The show begins with Eddie Kingston dedicating his ROH World Championship victory to the late Xavier.

Katsuyori Shibata retains the ROH Pure Championship against Nick Wayne.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews "Big Shotty" Lee Johnson. Lee Moriarty and Shane Taylor shows up and says there are no hard feelings after last week, then tells him to leave the past in the past and focus on tonight. As Moriarty demands Johnson shake his hand, Shane Taylor tells Johnson that he can always get knocked out like he did last week.

Diamante beats Catie Brite.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews The Infantry ("The Captain" Shawn Dean and "Bad News and Tattoos" Carlie Bravo) and Willie Mack. Shawn Dean says The Mogul Embassy ("The Machine" Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) will not be Six-Man Tag Team Champions for long, and Carlie Brown says the three of them have become one of the hottest trios in ROH. Willie Mack tells The Mogul Embassy to watch out, as they will win the Six-Man titles after he failed to win the $25,000 from the recent battle royal.

Lee Moriarty beats "Big Shotty" Lee Johnson.

We see Athena put Billie Starkz and Lexy Nair through "minion training." Lexy Nair graduates and becomes "Minion Bestie," then Athena tells Billie "You still suck."

Mercedes Martinez beats Trish Adora with the Brass City Sleeper.

Athena retains the ROH Women's World Championship against Angelina Love following the distraction from Billie Starkz.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Maria Kanellis-Bennett, Griff Garrison and Cole Karter. Maria wants to know if Griff is ready and with her and Cole Karter. Griff says tonight is trial and error, then says he has lost a step following his injury and that this is a good opportunity.

Willow Nightingale, Skye Blue and Kiera Hogan beat "Legit" Leyla Hirsch and The Renegades (Charlette and Robyn Renegade) in a six-woman tag team match. Maria Kanellis-Bennett watches from the stage during the match.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese, "Smart" Mark Sterling, Angelico and Serpentico, who are all teaming together tonight. Sterling says Nese is always on the lookout for possible up-and-coming wrestlers to join "The Premier brand," and if their team wins tonight, they will get free workouts. Nese says Angelico and Serpentico may not look the part, but he is a personal trainer. He tells Angelico and Serpentico to do exactly what he says and does and to follow his lead. Angelico says that Sterling's vibe is way off, and Sterling is heard saying "I heard that!"

"All Ego" Ethan Page beats Jeeves Kay, who is now going by the name VSK again.

Before the next match, "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese says that tonight show should have been done in Ohio State if they wanted real athlete, and says that if everyone didn't spend all their time at the creamery, they would actually be in shape, and says it's called "Freshman 15" and not "Freshman 50." He then treats the fans to some group training, but he is quickly interrupted by Angelico and Serpentico.

El Hijo del Vikingo, Gravity and Metalik beat "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese, Angelico and Serpentico in a six-man tag team match after Angelico and Serpentico leave Tony Nese high and dry for bossing them around one time too many.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews "All Ego" Ethan Page, who is looking for a third victory as he felt a feeling he has not felt in the longest time after a lot of downs in the last three years. He says that wrestling for the AEW World Championship was a high point, and while it did not go his way, he still got to touch the gold, feel the pressure and be in the marquee match while being inches away from changing his life. He says that Ring of Honor is the place for competition, but right now, he needs to be competitive, so he can continue the momentum and climb back to the top so he can touch the gold again and never let go.

Action Andretti and Darius Martin beat Cole Karter and Griff Garrison after Griff stops Karter from using the ropes for leverage during a pinfall attempt, refusing to cheat to win a match, much to the irritation of Karter and Maria Kanellis-Bennett. After the match, Griff wants to shake hands with his opponents, while Maria and Karter do not want him to do that.

The Mogul Embassy ("The Machine" Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) retain the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships against The Infantry ("The Captain" Shawn Dean and "Bad News and Tattoos" Carlie Bravo) and Willie Mack.

Here is the recap for tonight's show!
