Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for April 6, 2022

Adam Cole beats Christian Cage. After the match, reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) show up and attack Christian, then Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus show up and attack reDRagon. Adam Cole gets in the ring to get away from the brawl, but as he leaves the ring, "Hangman" Adam Page shows up. Cole tells Page not to get into the ring and that he is not fighting him until the AEW World Championship is on the line, then Page grabs the microphone and shoves Page by the face before telling him he has it and that it will serve as his punishment. Page means that next week, Rampage will take place in Texas, and that the World title will be defended in a Texas Death Match. He then tells Cole to get his affairs in order by next Friday.

We see footage from Supercard of Honor 2022 of Samoa Joe's return to Ring of Honor.

Samoa Joe beats "Platinum" Max Caster in an Owen Hart Foundation men's tournament qualifier. After the match, Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt are on the video screen. Jay says his outlook on life has changed, especially since Samoa Joe never took his phone calls and only took calls from billionaires, calling Joe "a Samoan gold digger." Jay says that next week, he and Sonjay Dutt will give Joe a present he will never forget.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews The Blackpool Combat Club (William Regal, Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley). William Regal says that he is excited that they are on Rampage, and that he feels bad for Wheeler Yuta, even though he has impressed him and Danielson and has yet to impress Moxley. Moxley says that in his match with Yuta, there will be cracking of bones and raining of blood.

MJF guests on commentary for the next match.

"The Captain" Shawn Dean beats Shawn Spears with a schoolkid pin. During the match, it is revealed that members of security have been laid out. It is then revealed that Wardlow has made his way into the building and is laying out more members of security. Wardlow soon makes it to ringside, but he is once again held back by three members of security. As this happens, Shawn Dean pins a distracted Shawn Spears with a schoolkid pin to get an upset win.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Best Friends (Chuck Taylor, Trent Barretta, Orange Cassidy, Wheeler Yuta). Chuck Taylor tells Wheeler Yuta they have done so much for him and want to be there for him, while Trent Barretta calls Wheeler Yuta a scumbag and tells him to watch the guys he is turning his back on.

In backstage footage from earlier tonight, Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz attack The Jericho Appreciation Society, who run away after Kingston throws a backstage monitor at them. The Society soon get away in a getaway car driven by Jake Hager.

Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz head to the ring. Kingston calls Chris Jericho "a two-faced coward" and says it is "on sight" with The Jericho Appreciation Society and that he will attack any of them even if they are near their own families. He also tells Daniel Garcia that he knows where he lives and to keep running. Santana says "The Jericho Bitch Society strikes again" and tells the Society to "bring the hardest fight to these dogs," and Ortiz tells Jericho to see them next week for a six-man tag match. Eddie Kingston says that next week, they will beat their asses "Junkyard Dog and Butch Reed styles."

We see a video package of Hook and Danhausen from last week.

Tony Schiavone interviews "Smart" Mark Sterling and Jade Cargill on the stage. Cargill tells Schiavone to "cut the shit" before introducing the "baddie section," a sextet of beautiful women who wave to the camera. She says a baddie is "a badass woman with confidence who knows herself." Sterling says it was tough work finding some baddies, but they did it, then says Marina Shafir is barred from the section, saying she is bad-ass but no baddie. Cargill says Shafir should be #30 now and that she is tired of MMA rejects appearing on her show. Sterling says that MMA rejects like Shafir are the problem, but Cargill says she is "a problem solver."

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews MJF and Shawn Spears, neither of whom want to hear Shawn Dean's name. As Spears gets angry at Wardlow, MJF dares Wardlow to show his face next week, as there will be twice as many security guards and twice as much pain. He then challenges Shawn Dean to another match and says there will be no fluke victory again, and that he will injure him worse than when he was in the military to the point that there will be a Purple Heart for him.

The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat The Butcher and The Blade in a Tag Team Tables Match. After the match, The Andrade Family Office shows up, but as they approach the ring, Sting shows up behind them and strikes Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) with his baseball bat. Andrade uses The Bunny as a human shield as The Andrade Family Office retreats.

We hear from Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus and Christian Cage. Christian Cage throws his water battle in anger, then leaves. Jungle Boy says reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) are tough and have been champions, but in AEW, things are determined by records. He says their record is not good enough to face them, but since they keep getting involved in their matches week after week, they will challenge them and put the AEW World Tag Team Championships on the line.

We see a video package for "The Native Beast" Nyla Rose vs. Thunder Rosa for the AEW Women's World Championship at Battle of the Belts II.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Jamie Hayter and Toni Storm. Toni offers her hand, but Jamie slaps it away and says he hopes they face off in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament and that she deserves to win the tournament. Toni Storm tells her that this has only just begun.

Hikaru Shida beats Julia Hart to qualify for the Owen Hart Foundation women's tournament. Shortly after the beginning of the match, Julia Hart sends The Varsity Blonds (Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr.) to the back when they confront her for hitting Shida with a cheap shot before the bell and choking Shida out with her jacket. After the match, Shida catches Serena Deeb out when Serena tries to attack her from behind with a chair, and has her Kendo stick at the ready. Serena smiles, then walks away.

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews Swerve Strickland. Swerve talks about his weekend at the Grammy Awards and says it is not over with Team Taz. When Swerve enters the locker room, Hobbs and Starks attack him from behind, but Keith Lee shows up to even the odds and put Hobbs through a wall.

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) retain the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships and the AAA Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson).
