Generation NXT 2.0 - NXT 2.0 recap for April 5, 2022

Bron Breakker heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Breakker says his first WrestleMania weekend had a lot of ups and downs, as he got to induct his father and uncle, The Steiner Brothers, into the WWE Hall of Fame, came up short against Dolph Ziggler, then went to WrestleMania and saw great Superstars in the ring. He says that he knew he would main event WrestleMania one day and that he would not leave Dallas, Texas without the NXT Championship, and then he went to Raw, beat Ziggler for the NXT Championship, and brought the title back where it belongs. Suddenly, Imperium (Gunther, Fabian Aichner, Marcel Barthel) heads to the ring, and Gunther tells Breakker that nobody cares about his story and that all he cares about is the NXT Championship, which he says stands for being the best in NXT. He tells Breakker that he cannot call himself the best until he steps into the ring with him, and Breakker tells him that if he wants a match, he has it tonight. The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) then show up before the show fades to commercial.

The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) beat Imperium (Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel). During the match, it is announced that during the commercial break, The Creed Brothers attacked Aichner and Barthel. This has led to a tag team match. During the match, Fabian Aichner walks out on the match after making the save for Marcel Barthel. After the match, two masked men attack The Creed Brothers from behind with chairs, and they reveal themselves to be Pretty Deadly (Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley) from NXT UK. As they introduce themselves to The Creed Brothers, it is revealed their new names are Kit Wilson (Stoker) and Elton Prince (Howley), respectively.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Toxic Attraction (Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne). Jayne and Dolin say that if it weren't for Wendy Choo, they would st ill be tag team champions champions, and that Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai's reunion makes them sick. Mandy Rose says that when someone gets them angry, they will get hurt, and Toxic Attraction will get all the women's gold back.

Cameron Grimes heads to the ring. Grimes says "We did it," and that he made good on his promise to his late father, who he says is smiling ear to ear. He says people talk about climbing the ladder to society, and at Stand & Deliver, he did just that and time stood still as all the moments of his father giving his blood, sweat and tears for the business and making him the man that he is now came back. He says that he busted his ass for the past three years to prove his father right when he said he deserved to be a WWE Superstar, then says that he will not become complacent and will do everything he can to take the championship to the moon. Suddenly, Solo Sikoa shows up and congratulates Cameron Grimes, then tells him that he made a good promise to his father when he won the title before telling him the hard part where he has to hold on to it has come. He says that championship run through his bloodline, and tells Grimes that a champion needs a challenger and that that challenger is him. Grimes says he respects Solo Sikoa, as he sees a man who has fought every day to be in this moment, and as champion, that means he has to beat people like him. He then says "Uce...you're on." They shake hands, then Sikoa draws him closer for a staredown.

Dakota says they've done more damage to each other than Toxic Attraction (Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne) ever did, and Raquel says that Toxic Attraction made threats because they are scared. D'Angelo says that Tommaso Ciampa thought he would get in the ring and walk like through him, and that while what he did Saturday was incredible, tonight will be even better. Galanti tells D'Angelo that there is a card on the table with his blood on it, which means he has taken the unbreakable oath of the Don. He says that if he follows the oath, he leaves on his feet; if he betrays the oath, he leaves on his back. He says the code of silence can never be broken, and if he breaks it, he will burn in hell. Galanti says his position is a position of honor and asks if he is ready to take it. D'Angelo says yes, and is handed a simple gold ring before Galanti kisses him on the cheeks. Galanti announces that D'Angelo is officialy the Don of NXT. The two of them then drink some wine.

Wes Lee says that after five months of twists, turns and guidance from Matt Riddle, the NXT tag titles are back home, and now all the teams want a shot at the title. Carter says that while The Creed Brothers did not get pinned and that Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) want to party, too. Suddenly, Grayson Waller and Sanga show up and Waller says he made the most noise and went viral. Wes Lee says Waller may be viral, but he is not a champion. Rick Steiner shows up on the TitanTron and congratulates Bron Breakker, then we find out he is in a cage surrounded by Joe Gacy and Harland.
