Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) head to the ring to start tonight's show. As they do, Bron Breakker is seen heading into the arena. Prince says that he and Hit made history last week when he kicked down the door to NXT and won its tag team titles. Wilson says they are used to having gold around their waist, having won the NXT UK tag titles before considering the UK "too drab" and getting gold in the States. Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake) show up, and Zack Gibson tells them to shut up before asking where their invitation to last week's gauntlet match was, and James Drake says they would have dominated everyone, including Pretty Deadly. Drake also says Pretty Deadly had success in the UK only because they weren't there, and Gibson says they are tag team champions because they were not there. He then says they are sick of waiting in the back of the line and are getting their shot tonight. Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro) show up and attack Grizzled Young Veterans as Elektra Lopez says they are not the only ones wanting a tag team title shot, and referees and officials quickly show up to stop the brawl. Gacy shows up on the video screen and tells Breakker that he has what he wants and is not a hard man to find, and that all he has to do is find him. We then see multiple images of Gacy laughing as the arena lights flash and Breakker heads to the back.
In footage from last Saturday, Santos Escobar watches interview footage of Carmelo Hayes before saying "How the mighty have fallen." He says the "former A-Champion" has a lot of excuses and was never worthy of the North American title. He then says that he himself is another story, and if Carmelo has a problem with it, he has a place for him: the back of the line.
Backstage, Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes talk. Carmelo says Santos Escobar may be on his own level, but he created the line that Santos wants him to go to the back of, and Trick Williams says that Carmelo will put the North American title back where it belongs. Carmelo then says that Santos Escobar will be the first person he beats on the way back to becoming champion again.

Backstage, Bron Breakker bumps into Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake) before he finds the cage that his father Rick Steiner was held in as well as a recorded message from Joe Gacy. It is Gacy's promo from the end of last week playing on a tablet.
Backstage, Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) meet Persia Pirotta and Indi Hartwell, who ask for a match with them. Pretty Deadly are interested, but when they find out their opponents are Dexter Lumis and Duke Hudson, they back away.
Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Grayson Waller, who says he was so committed to becoming champion that when Sanga ruined everything, he got rid of him. Andre Chase and Bodhi Hayward then shows up. After Andre Chase says Grayson Waller is making excuses, Sanga shows up and chases after Grayson Waller, but everything he does to stall him on the way to the ring has no effect. Sanga eventually gets his hands on him, then a referee shows up and rings the bell, starting their match.
Grayson Waller beats Sanga after sending him into the ring post before rolling into the ring and hitting Sanga with a Stunner.
We see a video package chronicling the events last week between Cora Jade and Natalya. Cora Jade says that Natalya is wrong about her future, and instead of seeing Natalya as a dream match, she just wants to kick her ass.
We see a vignette for Roxanne Perez, who says that she grew up in an chaotic household and was an outcast at school, and her only escape was WWE video games. She says that making herself in the games was the closest she would get to her dream, but she knew that one day she would make it. Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Roxanne Perez. Toxic Attraction shows up, and Mandy Rose tells Roxanne to not set her bar too high, because she will never make it. Roxanne says "Thanks for the advice?," but Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin take this as her having an inflated ego. Jacy Jayne then proposes moving Roxanne's debut from next week to tonight, and Roxanne tells her "I'll figure something out."
Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro) beat Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake). After the match, Santos Escobar says he will take care of Carmelo Hayes, and tells Tony D'Angelo to watch closely and see how a true leader takes care of business.
Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Wes Lee, who says the last few weeks have been chaotic, and that he has doubt in him and feels lost. Xyon Quinn shows up and says the problem is that he does not run it straight. Wes Lee says that he has no idea what that means and that he is not in the mood for a lecture, and Xyon Quinn says that maybe he should teach him a lesson. Wes says he may have doubts, he is at home in the ring, and their match may bring peace to this chaos.
Carmelo Hayes beats Santos Escobar after Escobar is met at ringside by two Mafia goons, one of whom hits Escobar in the back of the leg with a crowbar. After the match, Carmelo says Trick Williams took out Solo Sikoa and that nobody else is standing in his way, and in two weeks, he will become a two-time North American Champion. Suddenly, Cameron Grimes shows up. Grimes says Carmelo sounds more confident than he did last week, then tells him that in two weeks, he's on. Carmelo proposes they have their match right now, but Grimes tells him to turn around. Solo Siko then shows up and lays out Carmelo and Trick before staring down with Grimes.Solo Sikoa then tells Cameron Grimes "I got next."
Backstage, Bron Breakker finds where Joe Gacy is supposedly hiding. When he enters, he is surprised by what he sees: nothing but mirrors. He then notices Gacy behind him, but when he turns around, Gacy is gone. Breakker breaks a mirror as he continues his search for Joe Gacy.
Backstage, Roderick Strong talks with Malcolm Bivens, saying the last few months have been a hard road, but he refuses to sit back and let another group crumble in front of his eyes. He then says he will set an example out of those who do not agree with the Diamond Mine philosophy.
Natalya beats Tatum Paxley with the Sharpshooter.
Backstage, Tony D'Angelo insists he has nothing to do with the crowbar attack on Santos Escobar, saying it is "two goombas trying to make a name for themselves." He then notices Escobar's black SUV.
We see another vignette for Nathan Frazer, who says that above the ropes is his happy place and that the risks are worth the reward. He says that NXT is a thrill ride, which is just his style. Frazer debuts next week.
Backstage, Indi Hartwell tries to get matching pants for Dexter Lumis and Duke Hudson, but Hudson says what matter is taking out Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince). When he finds out that Indi knows how to communicate with Lumis, he tries to figure it out but finds it impossible.
Xyon Quinn beats Wes Lee.
Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Natalya, who says that Cora Jade love to play the victim and that she acted in self-defense last week, as those who blossom in NXT look for her on the main roster, so she decided to turn the tables. Nikkita Lyons shows up and says she is putting Natalya on notice and taking her out after she is done with Lash Legend, but Natalya says that when she is in the Sharpshooter, she will know exactly what to do. Nikkita counters by saying "Don't worry. I'm flexible."
It is announced that Ikemen Jiro has suffered internal injuries and will be out for at least a month, while Von Wagner has been suspended and fined an undisclosed amount.
Roxanne Perez beats Jacy Jayne. During the match, Wendy Choo shows up on the TitanTron and shows off her destruction of the Toxic Lounge. This distracts Jacy Jayne, and Roxanne Perez hits the Code Rox for the win.
Outside of the arena, Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro, Elektra Lopez) finds out that a tire lock has been put on the front passenger tire of their SUV and that a dead fish is on the hood. Escobar knows that Tony D'Angelo did this.
Backstage, Joe Gacy watches security camera footage of Bro Breakker trying to look for him. He says it is time to end this before going backstage to look for him.
Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) retain the NXT Tag Team Championships against Dexter Lumis and Duke Hudson. After the match, the lights go out and a spotlight shines on Joe Gacy on the balcony, who tells Bron Breakker that he is here and not hard to find. Bron Breakker shows up and goes after Gacy, who tells Breakker to take it easy and that all he had to do was ask if he wanted his father's Hall of Fame ring back. Gacy says he will return the ring if Breakker gives him an NXT Championship match. Breakker accepts, then Gacy puts the ring in Breakker's vest pocket and tells him there is one thing left to do: to take a leap of faith. Gacy then pushes Breakker off the balcony. Figures cloaked in black robes then surround Bron Breakker as the show ends with the camera focused squarely on Joe Gacy.
