Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for September 30, 2020

Before the next match, we see a black-and-white video where a friend of Darby Allin's calls "Absolute" Ricky Starks out on his actions before stating that Allin will make Starks look like the "little bitch" that he is and that it will take more than thumb tacks and body bags to beat Allin.

Darby Allin beats "Absolute" Ricky Starks. During the match, "The Machine" Brian Cage shows up to distracts Darby Allin, but Will Hobbs shows up and brawls with Cage all the way to the back.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes shows up, and he is interviewed in the ring by Dasha. Cody says that Al Snow once said "You always wrestle hurt...never wrestle injured." He then ponders if his injury transcended the metaphysical, then says that the real reason to shake hands is not because of respect, but because the business needs each other. He says there is always two names on the marquee, then says to imagine the shame of losing the TNT Championship in three weeks. He says that after that, he got a call from Hollywood and ended up on another show with other celebrities, and he asked himself who he was other than "the guy who got beat in three minutes." Cody says his feet are planted firmly on the ground, and while he was gone, so was his ear, and while he can say that he is the ace of the company, he cannot, as that honor belongs to AEW's current champions. Regarding Brodie Lee's challenge to a Dog Collar Match, he declines as Executive Vice President of All Elite Wrestling. He heads to the stage, then turns around, heads back to the ring, and says "No, as in no regrets; no, as in no looking back," then accepts for next week. Brodie Lee shows up and attacks Cody, and security and the locker room have to hold both men back. Brandi Rhodes shows up and hits a top rope somersault senton on The Dark Order, then brawls with Anna Jay when Anna Jay attacks her. Anna and Brandi have to be held back, and one of the women doing so is attacked by "The Native Beast" Nyla Rose from behind the barricade.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and Tully Blanchard. Wheeler says they did Best Friends a favor last week, as they were hurt, are backyard comedy wrestlers and are not on their level; SoCal Uncensored ("The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky), on the other hand, have held the tag team titles, and to uphold their legacy, they have to beat SoCal Uncensored. Harwood asks what consitutes a tag team title opportunity for The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), as they have blown every chance they have had at the titles. As Schiavone continues the interview, Matt Jackson shows up and superkicks Schiavone, then leaves.

Backstage, Dasha interviews SoCal Uncensored ("The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky). Scorpio Sky says that every once in a while, opportunity knocks on your door, and while they have not been on the road, it's time to get back on. Kazarian says they are playing chess while FTR are playing checkers, and that they will become two-time AEW World Tag Team Champions, guaranteed. Suddenly Scorpio Sky is conforonted by Shawn Spears, who wishes SoCal Uncensored luck

"Hangman" Adam Page" guests on commentary for the next match.

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships against SoCal Uncensored (Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) after Tully Blanchard grabs one of Scorpio Sky's feet from behind the ring apron out of the referee's view. During the match, FTR successfully get "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels ejected from ringside for tripping Wheeler, even though Daniels did not lay a hand on him.

It is announced that there will be a eight-man single elimination tournament ending at Full Gear where the winner will get a shot at the AEW World Championship. Three of the participants are Jungle Boy, Rey Fenix and Kenny Omega, with the last being a shock to "Hangman" Adam Page, who leaves the announce table.

Chris Jericho beats Isiah Kassidy with the Judas Effect after Kassidy goes for a springboard maneuver. After the match, The Inner Circle attack Kassidy, then Jericho and Jake Hager attack Chaos Project (Luther and Serpentico) for attacking them during the match after Kassidy sent Jericho over the barricade.

"Superbad" Kip Sabian and Miro plan out Sabian's bachelor party as they go to an axe throwing range and an arcade. At the arcade, arcade record maker Billy Mitchell shows up and offers his assistance with the bachelor party.

Backstage, Dasha interviews Best Friends (Chucky Taylor, Trent, Orange Cassidy) when FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) show up and say that they did them a favor last week before saying that Best Friends will never rise beyond the middle of the card and being a backyard comedy act. Trent and Chuck Taylor grab FTR and tease hitting them, then Orange Cassidy takes the microphone and calls FTR "weenies."

Orange Cassidy beats Preston "10" Vance.

Backstage, MJF and Wardlow enter The Inner Circle's dressing room, where MJF offers him a gift in the form of leather jackets for the entire Inner Circle. When it comes time to hand Sammy Guevara a jacket, it is not in the gift box. When Guevara and Jericho ask MJF and Wardlow they are doing in their dressing room, MJF says they are congratulating him on his win tonight. Jericho asks MJF if he wants to join The Inner Circle just like he did a while back, and MJF asks Jericho if he wants him to join The Inner Circle. Jake Hager and Wardlow are about to square off when Jericho thanks MJF for the gifts, saying it is "a Jericho move." MJF congratulates Jericho on a thirty-year career, then he and Wardlow leave. Guevara is about to say "What a loser!", but Jericho says "No...perhaps he's not."

Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. beats Red Velvet in her first match on Dynamite since her injury. After the match, Baker puts Red Velvet in the Lockjaw, complete with a rubber glove given to her by Reba.

In two weeks: Lance Archer vs. Jox Moxley for the AEW World Championship!

Eddie Kingston and The Lucha Bros. (Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix) show up with referee and long-time friend Bryce Remsburg. Eddie talks about his match with Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship last week, and while he did not tap out to Moxley's bulldog choke, then mentions that Moxley was so angry that he called up Tony Khan and decided he would fight anybody and that Eddie would pick the person he is going to fight. Eddie says they beat each other up well and that he is not feeling up to it, then asks referee Bryce Rensburg what caused him to ring the bell. Remsburg tells Eddie he was unresponsive and had to protect him from himself, which causes him and The Lucha Bros. to surround Remsburg. Suddenly, Moxley shows up with a barbed wire baseball bat, then The Butcher shows up from behind and Eddie tells Moxley before telling Remsburg to ring the bell. Moxley turns around and gets hit with a clothesline by The Butcher.

Jon Moxley retains the AEW World Championship against The Butcher with the Paradigm Shift followed by the bulldog choke.
