Impact Wrestling recap for September 29, 2020

Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary beat Havok and Nevaeh. After the match, Taya and Rosemary are attacked from behind by Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz, but Havok and Nevaeh chase them out of the ring.

Backstage, The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) are talking about something that happened to them in a bar while security listens when The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) show up to complain that The Good Brothers just sit backstage and tell stories. They leave - and laugh - after Chris Sabin says that they could be tag team champions if they wrestled as well as they told stories, then The Good Brothers go back to telling stories.

Backstage, Deonna Purrazzo says that Kylie Rae is "so misguided," and that she will do the same thing to her that she has done to everyone else at Bound For Glory. When she finds out that she will have to defend the Impact Knockouts Championship against Susie at Victory Road this Saturday, she and Kimber Lee get angry and leave.

Jordynne Grace beats Tennille Dashwood with a rear naked choke.

Backstage, Moose finds out that Ethan Carter III has his own locker room. He finds it and finds some guy who he thinks is EC3 only to find out it is someone else. EC3's image shows up when the room grows dark, and says that when you fail, you grow, and when you fail, he sets the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on fire. EC3 says he will light the title on fire next week, and invites Moose to pay his respects.

We see footage of Rich Swann training for his match at Bound For Glory.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Gail Kim vs. Madison Rayne at Victory Road 2012.

Backstage, Rhino meets with Heath concerning the success of #Heath4IMPACT, and Heath says that Impact Wrestling management is wanting to speak to him. As he mentions that Hernandez's money will help him out, Hernandez and Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend) attack them and steal the money back.

Backstage, Rhino meets with Scott D'Amore concerning Reno Scum and Hernandez. D'Amore puts Rhino in an unsanctioned match with Heath - assuming Heath signs a waver - in a match against Hernandez and Reno Scum at Victory Road.

The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) beat The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz). After the match, Anderson says he and Gallows are here for "a lot of money," and Gallows tells The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) that they have targets on their backs and that they will put a bullet hole through them and become tag team champions at Bound For Glory.

Backstage, Brian Myers and Tommy Dreamer have a Wild West-style stand-off. Both men brawl, but Tommy Dreamer catches his attempted cheap shot and tells him "Victory Road...I'll be a professional," when Myers tells him to be a professional.

Backstage, Kaleb and Tennille Dashwood are met by Jordynne Grace. Kaleb tells Jordynne that Tennille challenges her to a match at Victory Road, which Jordynne agrees to, much to Tennille's chagrin.

Johnny Swinger beats Fallah Bahh after hitting Fallah Bahh with Crazzy Steve's monkey behind referee Brandon Tolle's back to become John E. Bravo's best man...almost. John E. Bravo chews Brandon Tolle out for letting the match end the way it did and tells him to restart the match, which he does. Fallah Bahh wins soon after the restart of the match and becomes best man after hitting Johnny Swinger with a Banzai Drop.

Backstage, Rohit Raju says the hardest worker in the room and has become the smartest worker in the room and has become a champion and a star. He says everything should revolve around him, but it is about everyone else and the opportunities they can get. He then issues a challenge for the Impact X Division Championship at Bound For Glory, and TJP shows up wanting an opportunity. Rohit says this is not his opportunity nor Chris Bey's or Trey Miguel's, as it is for everyone else.

Backstage, Johnny Swinger confronts John E. Bravo, but Fallah Bahh intervenes. John E. Bravo says he odes not care who is best man and that he reversed the decision because of "piss-poor officiating." When Brandon Tolle shows up, John E. Bravo says Tolle should go.

Eddie Edwards shows up and addresses the backstage attack on him last week, and says he knows it is Eric Young and that he will beat his ass, then calls him out so he can beat him in the ring once and for all. Instead of Eric Young, he gets Sami Callihan. Eddie tells Sami Callihan to get in the ring so he can beat him again, but Callihan says he didn't do it. Eddie says he does not care, but Sami turns the lights out. When they come back on, Eddie is attacked from behind by Ken Shamrock. Shamrock then puts Eddie in the ankle lock as Sami watches.

We hear from Eric Young, who says that he hurt Eddie Edwards badly and that his wife Alisha had to do his dirty work, and now Ken Shamrock has attacked him. He then says he would respect it if he did not show up at Bound For Glory, but he does not beating him up. He then insists that everything that happens from here on it will not be on him, for he will not be held responsible.

Backstage, Susie talks with Kylie Rae, who says that she would not mind facing her best friend for the Knockouts Championship before giving Susie kick pads for her match against Deonna Purrazzo at Victory Road. When Kylie Rae tells Susie her time has come, Susie is reminded of her past as Su Yung.

The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) beat Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. After the match, The Good Brothers show up and confront The North in the ring only to be attacked from behind by Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. The North join in attacking The Good Brothers, then The Motor City Machine Guns show up and even the numbers. The show ends with all four teams brawling with each other.
