Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 13, 2019

It's time for Miz TV to start tonight's show. Tonight's guest is Roman Reigns. Miz talks about the Money In The Bank Ladder Match as well as what the match has done for him in addition to whoever wins it, then talks about his steel cage match against Shane McMahon at Money In The Bank. He does not talk about it for long before introducing Roman Reigns, who shows up. When asked about his match at Money In The Bank with Elias, Roman says Elias is a lot of things: young, strong, charismatic and talented. He then says that Elias has never won a championship, and on Sunday, he is bringing the big fight. Miz admits that they have never seen eye-to-eye, they have a bit in common - including a movie career - and proposes that they shoot a movie together. Roman says he would rather have the new Miz than the old Miz, and asks where the new Miz is. After a replay of "the new Miz" chasing after Shane McMahon from last week, Miz says that after 13 years, he has earned everyone's respect, but Shane has earned nothing and has been given everything. He says that on Sunday, a silver spoon will meet the steel cage, and while he is not the best at everything, he will find a way to win and there will be no place to run or hide for Shane McMahon, who will go down faster than his father did to a Superman Punch. Shane then shows up and says he did not hear either of them acknowledging that he is their boss, and informs that as of right now, Miz TV is over. Miz and Roman are then attacked from behind by Elias and Bobby Lashley. Shane then puts Miz and Roman in a match against Lashley and Elias that starts next.

The Miz and Roman Reigns beats Bobby Lashley and Elias after Shane McMahon gets involved. After the match, Lashley and Elias continue to go on the attack, but Miz evens the odds with a steel chair and Lashley and Elias are forced to retreat.

We see a video package of Seth Rollins' WWE Universal Championship win at WrestleMania 35 and his match for the title against "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles at Money In The Bank.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Braun Strowman, who only regrets that the trash compactor did not turn Sami Zayn into a cube. He then says tonight is about the Money In The Bank Ladder Match, which nobody can stop him from winning for the second year in a row. A backstage worker then tells Braun that Shane McMahon would like to see him in his office.

Backstage, Sami Zayn tells Shane McMahon that the toxic behavior of the fans is making WWE Superstars act recklessly, blaming them for Braun Strowman putting him in a dumpster that got taken away last week. When Braun Strowman shows up, Sami Zayn says that Shane will take his Money In The Bank Ladder Match slot away from Braun and give it to him. Shane is reluctant, but Sami says he will fight Braun for it in a Falls Count Anywhere Match so he can put him in a dumpster. After Shane makes the match official, Braun tells Sami that he will eat him alive.

Mojo Rawley beats Apollo Crews.

Backstage, Alexa Bliss is on the phone with an airline over lost luggage when Nikki Cross shows up concerned for Alexa. Alexa thanks Nikki for the concern. Nikki tells Alexa she can talk to her when Alexa doesn't want to burden her with her problems. Alexa tells her about her problems, and Nikki proposes she talk to The McMahons about having someone replace her in tonight's Fatal 4-Way Match. Alexa likes the idea, and goes ahead with it.

Michael Cole moderates a contract signing between Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Lacey Evans for the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championship matches at Money In The Bank. Lacey Evans, followed by Charlotte Flair, then Becky Lynch. Becky says that she knows what she is getting herself into on Sunday, but she does not care, and says that Lacey Evans will have a hard time backing her words up when she is stomping on the back of her neck. After Becky tells Lacey to ask Charlotte how hard it is to beat her, Charlotte says Becky got everything she ever wanted, but she still has to have a big mouth and put herself in a situation where she cannot win. Lacey says she is glad not to be the only one to have enough decency to show up appropriately, saying that this is a contract signing and not "a fight in a barn." Lacey is met by "Who are ya?" chants in the crowd, and Becky tells Charlotte that while she is wrestling royalty and groomed by the McMahons, she has not been producing results and that she is pressured into winning even more. Becky says one cannot afford to lose their first title match while the other can't afford to lose millions, then says she is not the only one under pressure before signing both contracts. Charlotte tells Becky she got her storybook ending and beat "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey, but it is still not enough and she has to build a reputation that will come crashing down when she beats her. She then signs her contract. Lacey says that the fans deserve a legitimate lady to set the proper example as a champion, as Becky Lynch's classless, confusing behavior is leading everyone astray. She promises to bring class back to the gold, and says Becky cannot take out two real ladies. After Lacey signs her contract, a quick war of words sees a brawl between all three women, and Becky is about to powerbomb Charlotte when Lacey gets her from behind. Charlotte attacks Becky as Becky gets Lacey in the Dis-Arm-Her, then powerbombs Becky through the table along with Lacey.

Baron Corbin beats Ricochet. After the match, Baron Corbin climbs up a ladder in the center of the ring, but Ricochet pushes the ladder down and sends Corbin into the top rope.

In the locker room, Charly Caruso interviews Rey Mysterio Jr., who says Samoa Joe crossed a line by targeting his son last week, and says that if anyone has a problem, they should say it to his face. Cesaro shows up and questions Rey talking about Joe when Joe is not here, and asks when it became "Take Your Son To Work Day" before mocking Rey's size and questioning if Dominic is his son as opposed to Joe's. Rey attacks Cesaro, and this starts a brawl that is quickly broken up by referees.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, who says that his Phenomenal Forearm was meant for Baron Corbin, but if anyone disrespects him, he will fight them. He says this was Seth Rollins' show until he showed up with a chip on his shoulder that isn't going anywhere, and on Sunday, he will walk in a challenger and walk out a champion.

Alexa Bliss guests on commentary for the next match.

Nikki Cross beats Natalya, Dana Brooke and Naomi in a Fatal 4-Way Match. After the match, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross set up the ladder in the middle of the ring, and Alexa climbs up the ladder to take the Money In The Bank Briefcase.

Backstage, Sami Zayn says everyone saying he has no chance of beating Braun Strowman tonight is just projection from the fans, and says he stands the best chance because he fights for a cause while Strowman is a manifestation of toxic fan fantasy. He says the only thing better than being big and strong is being right and fighting for what is right, and says he will beat Braun to be in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Before the next match, we hear from Samoa Joe, who says that Rey Mysterio talks a big game about him when he is not around for someone of a small stature. He says that Rey crossed the line the moment he brought Dominick into the WWE, and says that somebody has to teach him how to be a man.

Rey Mysterio beats Cesaro.

In the locker room, The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) tell The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) that they are not hard to find, and that their embarrassment stops now.

In this week's edition of Firefly Fun House, Bray Wyatt plays hide and seek with the viewers - while a miraculously healed Rambling Rabbit laughs - then Bray announces he has a secret to tell. Bray says he has learned how to harness and control his darkness, then opens a door. We then see some disturbing images and hear Bray talking backwards before seeing Bray in a much more sinister appearance and mask.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Seth Rollins, who says that it is now personal between him and "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles before talking about a match between them in 2006 and how he had respect for him then. That night, his friends and family knew his goals were no pipe dream, and on Sunday, he plans to prove that he is the backbone of Raw and make Styles look up to him while he is flat on his back.

Sami Zayn beats Braun Strowman in a Falls Count Anywhere Match with help from Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin to take Strowman's place in the men's Money In The Bank Ladder Match. After the match, Corbin tosses Sami Zayn back onto the stage, and Sami runs from Strowman only for Strowman to catch him and put him through the announce table.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!
