Generation NXT UK - NXT UK recap for May 22, 2019

"The Kiwi Buzzsaw" Travis Banks beats Joseph Conners to qualify for the #1 Contender's Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE United Kingdom Championship. After the match, Radzi interviews Banks, who mentions his history with everyone else in the match - while admitting he likes "Bomber" Dave Mastiff and says he is just really big - before saying he will become the new #1 contender, regardless of the competition.

We hear from Nina Samuels, who says that despite all her skill, Toni Storm is the easiest puppet to manipulate in her latest manipulate, for all she had to do is find a weakness and have her play right into her hands. She is not only a good player, but a fine director who has control, and says that Toni Storm has not only lost all control, but the NXT UK Women's Championship. She says that her fans know the ending before the show has begun, and she will become the next champion. The match will happen next week.

Noam Dar beats Mark Andrews after faking a knee injury.

In footage from earlier today, Radzi interviews Grizzled Young Veterans, who say that the fans and the other tag teams do not make the matches and that they decided who and when they wrestle for they are the NXT UK Tag Team Champions.

Rhea Ripley shows up. She says she knows how desperately the fans want to see her in action, then says that's too bad because it's not going to happen. Rhea says she has heard about Piper Niven being a big deal in Scotland, but to her, Piper Niven is nothing but a "wanna-be Superstar who reeks of fear." She says that Piper desperately want to be on top in NXT UK to the point that she wants to be her, and says that when she steps in the ring with her, nightmares become reality.

Backstage, Kassius Ohno says he has been trying to get in touch with General Manager Johnny Saint and Assistant Sid Scala, and that he plans to announce some good news. He meets with Sid Scala, who states that next week, Kassius Ohno will have a chance to prove he is the greatest at British wrestling against "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher. Kassius Ohno, never having faced Gallagher one-on-one before, is pleased with the news and shakes Sid Scala's hand before leaving.

Walter retains the WWE United Kingdom Championship against Pete Dunne after Fabian Aichner helps Walter get a rope break before distracting the referee and allowing Marcel Barthel to hit Dunne in the back with the WWE United Kingdom Championship. Walter then hits Dunne with the powerbomb and stacks him up to retain the title. After the match, Aichner and Barthel stand side-by-side with Walter.
