Generation NXT - NXT recap for May 15, 2019

It is announced that Percy Watson has moved on to the next chapter in his life and that WWE Hall of Famer "The Glamazon" Beth Phoenix is taking his place on commentary.

The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) show up. Ivar and Erik state that they have went to Raw and have taken on its tag team division, but they are far from finished raiding and since they still have the NXT tag team titles, they demand that General Manager William Regal join them right now. William Regal shows up, and Erik says that since there is no one who can take the tag team titles from them, they are here to relinquish the titles. He and Ivar hand the titles to a surprised Regal, then Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) show up. Montez Ford is surprised at The Viking Raiders' claim that nobody can beat them, and says Street Profits brought the fight to them last week. Even though they lost, everyone realized that Street Profits can beat The Viking Raiders. He says it makes sense that The Viking Raiders are on Raw, as they know Street Profits can beat them. Dawkins makes fun of the recent Viking Raiders team name controversy, then The Viking Raiders take the tag titles and demand Regal make the title match. Regal makes the match for the tag team titles official for tonight.

We see WWE.com-exclusive footage from after last week's show where Adam Cole calls Roderick Strong "a little bitch" as he yells at him and says he is undeserving of being a member of The Undisputed Era (Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Strong) while Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly hold him back. Afterwards, we see Cathy Kelley interviews Adam Cole as he says that he is the absolute leader of The Undisputed Era - while backstage workers are seen responding to something happening nearby - when Roderick Strong shows up and tells him he has thought about last week. He says they are stronger when on the same page. He then hands Cole a sandal and says that "The Matt Riddle problem" is taken care of, much to the delight of Cole, Fish and O'Reilly.

Keith Lee beats Cezar Bononi.

As Cathy Kelley announces that "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler will have to defend the NXT Women's title against Io Shirai at the next TakeOver, The Forgotten Sons (Steve Cutler, Wesley Blake, Jaxson Ryker) show up, saying Street Profits were handed a tag team title shot. They state that they want answers from General Manager William Regal as to why they do not have a title shot, and if they don't get a good enough answer, they will show first hand why they will not be forgotten.

KUSHIDA beats "The Finest" Kona Reeves with the Hoverboard Lock. During the match, Drew Gulak shows up to watch the match from the stage.

Backstage, Bianca Belair takes Cathy Kelley to General Manager William Regal's office when she confronts Mia Yim. Mia says she asked Regal for a rematch with her and she plans to take care of business. Afterwards, Bianca takes Cathy Kelley to Regal's office again, then closes the door in her face before she can go in.

Matt Riddle is tended to by a trainer. Johnny Gargano, who is nearby, tells an interviewer that Riddle will be okay and that Adam Cole will not like Riddle when he is angry. He also says that he has spoken to General Manager William Regal, and at the next NXT TakeOver, it will be him and Cole for the NXT Championship one more time.

Vanessa Borne beats Jessie.

Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) vs. The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) for the NXT Tag Team Championships ends after The Forgotten Sons (Steve Cutler, Wesley Blake, Jaxson Ryker) attacks Ivar. After the match, all three teams brawl, and Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch run in to get in on the action. After a double team to The Viking Raiders, Street Profits run to the back, and The Viking Raiders take their anger out on Lorcan, urch and Wesley Blake to end the show.
