LA Knight heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Knight says it has been 27 long years since WWE has done a major televised event in Berlin, Germany, then issues an open challenge for the WWE United States Championship. It gets answered by Ludwig Kaiser. Ludwig Kaiser says that if LA Knight wants to defend against the best in the world, then there is nobody else better on German soil than himself. He says that after he beats Kaiser, he will make the United States title bigger than it ever was and make it his own personal European Championship. Knight says Kaiser can do anything he wants with the championship, but he has to win it first, and he will not let him. He then says Kaiser will lay down and catch "three the hard way" as he retains his title.
LA Knight retains the WWE United States Championship against Ludwig Kaiser.

We see a video package for Nia Jax.
Legado del Fantasma (Berto and Garza) beat Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin after Elektra Lopez distracts the referee so that Santos Escobar can throw Baron Corbin into the ring steps. (Berto and Garza are officially named "Los Garza" in this match.)
We hear from The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Jacob Fatu). Solo Sikoa says that #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) will acknowledge him. He then talks about how he took Jimmy Uso, Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns and took the ula fala and the right to be called the Tribal Chief. He then says that if he can do that to those he considers family, then one can imagine what he can do to #DIY and The Street Profits. Jacob Fatu is about to hand the ula fala to Solo, but Solo stops him and addresses "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, saying he will come for whoever wins the Undisputed WWE Championship. Jacob then places the ula fala around his neck.
General Manager Nick Aldis is in the ring. He hypes up Bash In Berlin, then we see footage from WWE's recent European tour. Aldis then introduces Kevin Owens and "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes to the ring. Aldis leaves the ring, then Owens asks Cody what he wants to talk about. After entertaining talking about the WWE Championship as well as what happened to Cody's knee during the tour, Cody talks about the aftermath of their victory last week. Cody thinks that Owens was about to hit him last week but did not because of when he turned around, but Owens says that everyone he ever turned on had it coming except for Kofi Kingston, who never deserved it. Owens says they have been close for a long time and even knew Cody's father, and asks why he would do that. He says that Owens has been a bit angry with him, and says that Owens does not get enough credit and that he perhaps gets too much. Owens is flattered, but says he does not need to hit him with a cheap shot, as he knows that Cody's knee is hurt. Cody thinks that Owens is saying this because he feels he does not deserve this match, but Owens truly wants him at 100%. Owens talks about how he won the Universal Championship eight years ago and how people said he only won the title because of Triple H, and thinks that the victory will be tainted if he beats Cody while he a bad knee. Cody says his knee is 100% and that he is ready to go, and that Owens is angry that he has returned and would leave even his friends in his rear view mirror, as he could not take all his friends with him. He says he does not have many friends in this business, but he considers Owens one of them, and wants to know if they will still be friends after the match. Owens drops his microphone and whispers something into Cody's ear, then leaves the ring.
Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin are met and mocked by Grayson Waller and Austin Theory, with Grayson saying Theory claims they are not the tag team he and Grayson is. Corbin almost explodes on Theory as Crews holds him back, and Theory chews Grayson out for doing this, saying that they are falling apart as a team because of things like this. Grayson says it is banter, and Theory accepts his apology.
We hear from Giovanni Vinci, who says that he wants to win with honor. He says this is not a return, but an arrival, and soon, everyone will remember his name. Vinci re-debuts next week.
Carmelo Hayes beats Andrade.
Nia Jax retains the WWE Women's Championship against "Michin" Mia Yim in a Street Fight that sees Tiffany Stratton try to cash in only to help Nia Jax until Bayley shows up and chases her through the crowd.
