Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for August 24, 2024

"All The Way" Ray Collins last eliminates Big Nasty Phil to win an open invitational battle royal with help from Suckaboy, who keeps "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn from making the save for Big Nasty Phil.

We hear from "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane, who says that Jordynne Grace and Jonathan Gresham are among the best, but not the best of the best, and next week, The Lane Dynasty ("The Best of the Best" Austin Lane" and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane) will prove they are the only power couple in professional wrestling.

We see footage from after the show went off the air last week.

Before the next match, Sycho Simon produces J. Webb's teddy bear, Lucy, and says that nobody will take Lucy from him.

Sycho Simon beats JT Williams. After the match, Simon is attacked from behind with a metal folding chair by J. Webb, who then rescues Lucy only for Simon to hit him with the chair. Simon then walks off with Lucy.

Backstage, Zaya interviews "All The Way" Ray Collins, who thanks Suckerboy for the assist as he got the win. He says he has been in Memphis Wrestling for two years and that it is time to get some gold, and that he will go all the way.

Dustin Starr interviews "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts and Justin Case at the announce desk. Justin Case says that it does not matter who Roberts faces between "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and K-Toomer before demanding somebody be brought out for Roberts to beat up.

"The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts beats Gio Savage. After the match, Aaron Roberts says that Memphis Wrestling is his show now, "sho nuff," and that he will bring the boom, because he is the youngest to ever do it.

Backstage, Tim Grind and Lance McKade talk about Too Kool II's (Tim Grind and Flex) upcoming tag team title match, and Tim Grind says that after everything that has happened, today could be the day that it all pays off and that he wants Lance at ringside for this. Flex shows up, and everybody heads to the ring.

Dustin Starr interviews Mike Anthony, who is surrounded by Secret Service, at the announce desk. Mike Anthony does not answer questions, and Secret Service says "Do what you're told, you loser." Mike Anthony takes offense to this and attacks both members of Secret Service before being attacked from behind by Jay Smooth. Jay Smooth continues to attack Mike Anthony, but Mike Anthony laughs and fights back. Secret Service gets knocked out before Mike Anthony hits Jay Smooth with the Genetic Dream.

Too Kool II (Tim Grind and Flex) beat The Nyxx Network (Sir Matthew and Lord Gaston) to become the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Champions after Sir Matt tries to hit Flex with one of the tag team championship belts only to inadvertently hit Gaston instead. David Knight is the championship official for this match. (Had The Nyxx Network been counted out or disqualified, they would have lost the titles.)
