Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for February 16, 2022

CM Punk is in the ring at the start of the show. Punk talks about how he is straight edge just like he first did twenty years ago, then says he could sit here and feel pride that this helped shaped his career and others to follow. Punk then brings up MJF, saying that he tries to be like him but could never be able to think like him, then says he is proud of MJF for beating him in his hometown before saying he is really "shitty little Max from shitty little Long Island." Punk also brings up the fact that MJF used the Dynamite Diamond Ring - which he won with help from other people - to cheat to win, then mentions that he has the time and date for his rematch with MJF. He says that the match will take place at Revolution, then looks to the past and the toughest matches he has ever had in order to get MJF to learn something. He says that if MJF wants to be like Roddy Piper, he will have to be tethered to him. Punk then opens the box in front of him and produces two dog collars with a steel chain connected to them, proposing a Dog Collar Match between them. He then calls MJF out, saying he has one more thing to say and wants to look in his eyes when he does. MJF shows up, and Punk tells him to take it all in before producing a picture of MJF with Punk at an autograph signing, saying it was the greatest day of MJF's life, but for him, it was Sunday. He then says Revolution will be the worst day of MJF's life and that he will be sitting on a canvas stained with his blood, as the price he paid to meet him as a kid will be nothing to the price he pays at Revolution. MJF is about to say something, but he drops his microphone and walks away.

We see a video package chronicling the events between Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley and the events leading up to Bryan Danielson vs. Lee Moriarty.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Christian Cage, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. Jungle Boy says he likes three-way matches and is no stranger to winning a battle royal, and Christian says that while the tag division is changing, they will stay tag team champs.

Melissa Joan Hart is seen in the crowd before the next match.

Bryan Danielson beats Lee Moriarty with a triangle sleeper after knocking him out by kicking his head in. After the match, Danielson says he came to the ring to teach Moriarty a thing or two about violence, then says he asked Jon Moxley to team up with him to create a whole new AEW and teach young wrestlers about violence. Danielson then says he wants an answer from Moxley, and Moxley heads to the ring. Moxley admits he has never beaten Danielson, and says that while the locker room was scared of Danielson when he showed, he was excited to finally get his chance to face him, but now, Danielson wants to join forces with him. He says that he has listened to what Danielson had to say and that while it would be awesome to team up and cause destruction, he also thought about how the two of them could leave a legacy and give back to the business. Moxley admits that no matter how hard he tried, he could not find a reason to say no, but then he got to thinking why Danielson would want to team with him and not stand across the ring from him. He says that Danielson knows that he would do to him what he has done to everyone else for the last three years, and if that is the case, he has already beaten Danielson. Moxley wants to know if Danielson wants to really team up with him or keep from being destroyed, and that he is not saying "yes", but he is not saying "no." He says he does not stand with anyone unless he bleeds with them first.

We see a video package of Keith Lee's AEW debut. Keith Lee says that he is coming to make a statement, and when he is done with the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match, the AEW World Championship will be his.

Wardlow beats "Platinum" Max Caster to qualify for the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match. After the match, Anthony Bowens attacks Wardlow, but Wardlow powerbombs Bowens for it, and Shawn Spears hits Bowens and Caster with a chair.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Mercedes Martinez, Rebel, Jamie Hayter and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. Britt tells Martinez to finish the job, then Martin Kove - Kreese from "The Karate Kid" and "Cobra Kai" - shows up as Britt says they are the best crew with the best sensei. When Britt asks what to do if Martinez loses, Kove says "Finish her. No mercy."

Tony Schiavone interviews "Hangman" Adam Page in the ring. Before Page can talk about his Texas Death Match with Lance Archer, Adam Cole shows up and congratulates Page on retaining while listing off some of the things that Page has done to keep the AEW World Championship. He says that Page has earned the right to call himself a world champion, then says he has been world champion everywhere he has gone and that it is a shame that his reign will have to end soon. Page says Adam Cole went elsewhere while his friends built an empire without him, and that he is now standing in front of his friend in Bullet Club with the world title he will never hold. Cole says that Page has not been associated with anyone in months and asks what kind of friend he is, and Page says that he is not perfect and that Cole does not have the best record with friends, either. He says that he has regrets and mistakes, and that the more he thinks about it, the more that Cole stepping into a ring with him is one of his biggest. Cole says that Page has gotten good, but now that he is in AEW, Page will be known as "the other Adam" just like in every other promotion they have been in. Page puts his title in the corner to fight Cole, but Cole says he has had nothing but admiration for him. He says that if he could share an AEW ring with anyone, it would be him, and when they face off in the ring, it will be for the AEW World Championship. He then says "May the best man win" and shakes hands with Page. After Cole leaves, Page is attacked from behind by ReDragon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly), and Cole joins in. Security runs into the ring to stop the beatdown, then The Dark Order runs into the ring to force Cole and ReDragon to retreat. 10 then attacks the security guards, and throws the last one out of the ring and into the rest of the members of security that he has levelled.

We see a video package for Darby Allin vs. Sammy Guevara for the TNT Championship later tonight.

Eddie Kingston shows up to stand in Santana and Ortiz's corner for the next match.

Proud 'n Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) beat The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho and Jake Hager). After the match, referees have to keep Jericho and Eddie Kingston separated when Jericho attacks Eddie.

Backstage, we hear from The Superkliq and ReDragon. Cole says that the next few weeks are huge for them as they and their friends win matches and The Elite get back into the tag team title picture. Cole says that they cannot lose and that they all need to be on the same page.

Martin Kove - Kreese from "The Karate Kid" and "Cobra Kai" - is seen in the crowd before the next match.

Thunder Rosa beats Mercedes Martinez in a no-disqualificaton match with a Fire Thunder Driver into a pile of chairs. After the match, Thunder Rosa helps Mercedes Martinez up, then Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., Rebel and Jamie Hayter show up. Martin Kove tells Britt Baker "I told you she was weak...now finish her." Hayter and Rebel gang up on Thunder Rosa, then Britt Baker gets in the ring with Martinez's pipe and hands it to Martinez. Suddenly, Jamie Hayter attacks Martinez at the behest of Britt Baker while Martinez holds the pipe.

We hear from The House of Black (Malakai Black and Brody King). Malakai Black says that violence begets violence and that the fires of destruction leave nothing but ash that things can grow from when they are extinguished. We then find out that Malakai and Brody King are waiting for a third member, who shows up.

We hear from "Switchblade" Jay White, who says that everybody is talking about him and that if Kenny Omega did not stay in Japan, there would be no All Elite Wrestling. He says that he will beat Trent Barretta and prove it is still his era.

Sammy Guevara retains the TNT Championship against Darby Allin after Jose distracts the referee, Sting and Darby Allin, allowing Andrade el Idolo to show up and hit Darby with the tablet as Darby goes for the Coffin Drop. After the match, Matt Hardy attacks a downed Darby Allin, and when Sammy dares Matt Hardy to get in the ring with him, Andrade hits him with the tablet before running off with both TNT Championship belts.
