Championship Gold - Memphis Wrestling recap for February 12, 2022

Martin beats "Big Swole" Justin Cole with a crucifix pin to advance in the Cobra Cup Tournament following the distraction from The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris), who are banned from the WrestleCenter. Referees have to keep Justin Cole and The Posse from going at each others' throats. After the commercial break, security is still holding The Posse back and escorting them from the building while referees still keep Justin Cole in the ring.

We hear from "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and Austin Lane regarding their Memphis Heritage Championship match. Brett is proud to be champion on the first anniversary and wants to prove he can beat the best of the best. Austin Lane wants to prove he is still the best and can win the title. Both men admit that the crowd will be picking sides between them and that the two of them will blow the roof off the building, and Austin Lane gives Brett Michaels credit for putting Memphis wrestling back on the map.

We hear from Skyler, who says she was the last woman standing at the Grind City Rumble and that if anyone deserves a title shot, it is her. She tells Heather Monroe she wants her title shot right now.

Dustin Starr interviews "The Killer Bae" Heather Monroe at the announce desk. Heather Monroe says he is not in the business of doing more charity than she already has and feels she does not have to give a title shot to everyone, especially when Skyler did not win the Grind City Rumble. Heather says Skyler does not deserve a title shot, then tells her to go back to doing what she does so well: shining "The Mad Esthetician" Amber Rodriguez's boots. Skyler answers by roundhouse kicking Heather Monroe in the face before raising up the Memphis women's title.

Derrick King guests on commentary for the next match.

"Casanova" Colton Cage beats Danny B. Good to advvance in the Cobra Cup tournament after Van Viciouss and Ryan Piles grab Danny B. Good's ankles after Danny performs a vertical suplex. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews The Elements of Wrestling (Cage, Pyles, Viciouss). Ryan Pyles says their tactics were just getting things done, then says that with three members, they are unstoppable, and Colton Cage will win the Cobra Cup Tournament. He then issues a challenge for the Memphis Trios Championships, saying it is about time that Derrick King, Danny B. Good and DJ Brown have had some worthy opponents.

At Tops Bar-B-Q, Carter Matthews finds out from Chris Hayes that Hayes did not pay Big Jack yet and that they owe him a lot of money. Hayes says he needs more time and that they can come up with some money on the next show, but Matthews tells him he is on his own.

The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn) guest on commentary for the next match.

Uncle Mikey beats Carlos Alexander Rios.

Dustin Starr interviews David Ali at the announce table. David Ali says he hopes some fans remember him from a few years ago, then says that he is the fans' savior before addressing Mike Anthony's behavior as of late and stating he will be champion again here in Memphis.

Mike Anthony beats David Ali with the Genetic Dream after using the referee as a shield to advance in the Cobra Cup Tournament. After the match, it is reported by Dustin Starr that The Posse are heading back to the ring.

The Posse (Simon and Lil Chris) show up with hard hats, an axe and a sledgehammer. Security tries to step them, but The Posse soon start destroying one of the pews at the side of the arena to end the show.
