After Dark - AEW Dark recap for February 1, 2022

Before the next match, Anthony Ogogo says he is pissed off because "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes used his EVP powers to win only for him to knock him out cold soon after. He then says that he went away for a while and more people got hired by AEW, and he hoped to knock those people out. When he came back, he did not get the red carpet treatment; instead, he is in Orlando, Florida wrestling a "Dragon Ball Z look-alike indy bum" in Marcus Kross. Ogogo then reminds everyone who he is.

Anthony Ogogo beats Marcus Kross by knock-out after Ogogo demands a ten-count.

Penelope Ford beats Angelica Risk with the Muta Lock.

QT Marshall beats Toa Liona.

2point0 (Jeff Parker and Matt Lee) beat Ish and Kidd Bandit.

Lance Archer beats Jordan Costa by pinfall with the claw. (Jordan Costa is actually current UWN World Heritage Champion Jordan Cruz.)

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews Fuego del Sol, who says that it it his time and that he makes the most of it. He says that Serpentico felt the wrath of his Tornado DDT once before, then tells him that just because he can see a tornado coming does not mean he can stop it. He says Serpentico is nothing like him, and tells him to protect his neck while he's cashing a check.

Marina Shafir beats Reka Tehaka by submission.

The Factory (Aaron Solo and Nick Comoroto) beat Cameron Stewart and Dante Casanova.

"The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese beats Zack Clayton.

Kiera Hogan beats Mazzerati after nearly kicking Mazzerati's head off after Mazzerati threatens to do the same to her.

The Dark Order (Alan "5" Angels and Preston "10" Vance) beat Ariya Daivari and Invictus Khash with the full nelson from 10 to Khash. After the match, Tony Schiavone interviews Angels and 10, but QT Marshall shows up with Nick Comoroto and Aaron Solo and tells Schiavone to shut up before entering the ring. Marshall says Angels and 10 could have been something, but became the horse's ass, yet they still have a chance to be the future. He asks 10 to shake his hands and become part of The Factory, but Angels and 10 flip him off instead. Comoroto and Solo beat them up, and Marshall says "The Factory doesn't suck...The Factory is sacred."

Dante Martin and Matt Sydal beat Bear Country (Bear Boulder and Bear Bronson).

"The Bad Boy" Joey Janela beats Lee Moriarty with a European clutch. After the match, Tony Schiavone interviews Moriarty, who reiterates that he is the future of AEW but that he cannot wait for the future, for has a family to feed and bills to feed and tomorrow is not guaranteed. He says he has to be at the top right now, and to do that, he has to become consistent, as he has fallen short more than he has won. He says that from here, there is a new attitude and focus and he is here to take over.
