Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for February 9, 2022

Wardlow shows up with cardboard standees of MJF and brings them to the ring to start tonight's show. After Wardlow places the carboard stands in the corner, he gives some instructions to ring announcer Justin Roberts, who then introduces FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and Tully Blanchard. FTR and Tully Blanchard show up with glasses of champagne and head to the ring, then Shawn Spears is introduced. Shawn Spears shows up with a bottle of champagne as he heads to the ring, then hands Justin Roberts a folder. Justin reads from the folder, introducing MJF as well as MJF's self-described accolades in the progress. MJF then makes his way to the ring with two women in white dresses in the front while sitting on a throne carried by six men. One of the women kisses him, while the other one makes out with him, then MJF celebrates with everyone in The Pinnacle except Wardlow before confetti falls. MJF says he made it clear last week that he is the best wrestler on the planet, then says he is better than that when he beat CM Punk twice. He says last week was bittersweet for him, because after he laid on top of Punk, he got emotional after beating someone he grew up with, and says that if it were not for Shawn Spears, he would not have done it. Spears says that he has a gift for MJF: a new shirt with the words "Better Than The Best In The World" that is now available on AEWShop.com. MJF says that after becoming one of the greatest, it is time for him to become AEW World Champion. All of a sudden, CM Punk shows up. Tony Schiavone holds the microphone for Punk as Punk says that MJF's win over him is as suspect as his spray tan, then says he has learned from his mistakes a couple of weeks ago and brought some friends. Darby Allin and Sting show up with baseball bats, then Punk says he will either get what he wants - a rematch - or the three of them beat it out of him. He then says the rematch is against Wardlow, whom he credits for MJF beating him and wants one-on-one. MJF says he beat Punk all by himself and that Wardlow is here because he is his best friends. Dax Harwood grabs the microphone and says that he is more comfortable in wrestling gear and also wants a rematch. Punk says it is on, but MJF says he will not wrestle in tonight's venue before proposing that if Punk wants a rematch against him any time and anywhere, all he has to do is beat FTR with a tag team partner of his choice other than Darby Allin or Sting. MJF then tells Wardlow to suit up, because he has a match up next, then says that he is better than the best in the world and that everyone knows it.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Andrade el Idolo, Darby Allin and Sting. Andrade addresses Sting as Darby Allin's boss, but Sting tells him that Darby does not work for him and that if he has a problem with Darby, to take it up with him. Darby says he has better things to do, like become TNT Champion. Andrade says Darby that he will work for him, and that the next TNT Champion will be him, not Darby. After Andrade leaves, Sting says "One thing's for sure...he means it."

Wardlow beats The Blade with four powerbombs. After the match, Shawn Spears hits The Blade with a chair.

We hear from Penta el Zero Miedo in a cemetery. Penta pulls a shovel out of his vehicle, takes it into the cemetery, digs a hole and pulls a mask out of the ground.

It is time for The Inner Circle Team Meeting. Chris Jericho, Jake Hager and Sammy Guevara are the first members to head to the ring. Jericho says they have not seen Santana and Ortiz all day, then all of a sudden, Proud 'n Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) arrive. Jericho wants to know why Santana and Ortiz did not take him in in their match against 2point0 and Daniel Garcia, saying it was demeaning and disrespectful to him and the fans. Santana says for the past few months, he has learned to see things as they are and call a spade a spade, saying that Jericho only cares about himself and that he and Ortiz have been sidetracked to Jericho's benefit. He also says that his and Ortiz' tag team title hunt has always been pushed to the side so they could come to Jericho's rescue, and that the days of playing second fiddle to Jericho are over and done with. Santana says that at the end of the day, it was always Jericho who held them back and kept them from the spotlight and that it was the fans who kept them coming, then tells The Inner Circle to thank Ortiz for keeping him from dropping Jericho a long time ago. Jericho says Santana reminds him of Eddie Guerrero, then asks what Eddie Kingston has ever done for him and Ortiz before saying that he is the influencer and that they have been in main events and in the money because of him. He says they had a chance to be AEW World Tag Team Champions a year ago, but they lost to The Young Bucks, and yet they want to blame him. Jericho then says he put them in The Inner Circle and that he can kick them out as well. Jericho then says he has asked himself if he asked the wrong two members of The Latin-American Xchange to join. Santana grabs Jericho, but Sammy stops them, saying they are a family. Jericho tells Sammy to shut up, but Sammy tells Jericho to save it. He says he loves The Inner Circle like a family and that he has no idea what is going on, then says one of his goals is to be one of the best champions ever and that the infighting is not helping. Sammy throws his jacket onto the mat and says he has quit the group before, and unless The Inner Circle gets things together, he will quit again. He leaves, then Ortiz asks what is next when Jericho throws threats around. Ortiz says Jericho has his facts twisted and that Eddie Kingston has always been a brother in arms to him and Santana and that infighting solves nothing. He says that if they have an issue where they come from, they use their fists, not their words. Ortiz proposes a tag team match between him and Santana and the team of Jericho and Hager. Jericho says he never wanted it to come to this, but if they want a fight, they will get it, and if they don't adjust their attitudes, changes will be made.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Roppongi Vice (Rocky Romero and Trent Barretta). Rocky Romero says he is feeling good and ready for a fight, then The Young Bucks show up wanting a fight. Suddenly, Adam Cole attacks Romero and Trent from beind, and Rocky gets a BTE-Trigger. As Rocky is about to get a piledriver, "Switchblade" Jay White shows up and throws him into the nearby truck, then says "Nice earrings" to Nick Jackson.

Isiah Kassidy's opponent for the next match is revealed to be Keith Lee.

Keith Lee beats Isiah Kassidy to qualify for the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match after Matt Hardy walks out on the match. After the match, Marq Quen attacks Keith Lee and double teams him with Isiah Kassidy, but Keith Lee quickly recovers and catches them both out of the air. Keith Lee powerbombs Quen onto Kassidy, then into the ring apron.

We see a video package chronicling the recent events between Mercedes Martinez and Thunder Rosa. Next week, there will be a no-disqualification match between them.

Before the next match, CM Punk's tag team partner is revealed to be Jon Moxley.

CM Punk and Jon Moxley beats FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), giving CM Punk his rematch against MJF, who is livid backstage.

Jade Cargill retains the TBS Championship against AQA. (AQA is former NXT Superstar Zayda Ramier, who is best known for her surprise win over Toni Storm while there.)

Backstage, we hear from The Young Bucks and Adam Cole. Matt Jackson makes fun of their attack on Roppongi Vice, while Nick Jackson says the AEW tag titles will be theirs again. Matt Jackson finds it weird that Adam Cole brought "Switchblade" Jay White tonight, but Cole says that if the Bucks can trust him, they can trust Jay White. Cole then says he has a statement of his own soon.

Serena Deeb heads to the ring. She says that she beat her last opponent in three minutes and says nobody is on her level, then issues "The Professor's Five-Minute Rookie Challenge" and says her opponents should be privileged to be in the ring with her tonight. She says that if her opponent, Katie Arquette, wants to put her life on the line, then she should not be surprised if she is the one to dig her grave.

Serena Deeb beats Katie Arquette with the Serenity Lock in one minute.

We see a video package chronicling the feud between The Gunn Club (Billy, Austin and Colten Gunn) and Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus and Christian Cage.

"Hangman" Adam Page retains the AEW World Championship against Lance Archer after vaulting over referee Paul Turner's back to hit the Buckshot Lariat on Archer and put him through two tables on the outside to make up for the lack of a top rope after Dan Lambert removes it, and gets on his feet first. After the match, Adam Cole shows up and takes the AEW World Championship, then places it on Adam Page's shoulder and leaves.
