Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for February 24, 2022

"Inevitable" Ace Austin and "Speedball" Mike Bailey beat Trey Miguel and Jake Something in the BTI match.

Moose heads to the ring to start tonight's show. He says that month after month, he has proven why he is the greatest world champion in all of professional wrestling, and at No Surrender, he did it again when he put W. Morrissey. He then says everybody is talking about Eddie Edwards, and says there he is the only man in professional wrestling who needs to be acknowledge, because there would be no Eddie Edwards without him. Moose says that he has the special ability to change people's entire worlds for the worse forever, and calls what happened to "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander and Matt Cardona after he beat them proof of that and asks who knows what kind of spiral W. Morrissey will go down. As Moose says that he has the power to turn people's worlds upside down, Heath shows up and asks Moose if he thinks everything is a joke, saying Eddie Edwards was "a big piece of the Impact puzzle" and that Impact is at war. Heath says he busted his ass to get to Impact and got there, and while he may have been injured and out for a whole year, Impact and the fans both stuck by him, and if he has to stand tall and help Impact alone, he will do it, as Impact's leader is doing nothing. Moose says Heath has only been here for "a cup of tea" and asks him what he was doing for the last month and at No Surrender when Honor No More wreaked havoc, and Heath asks Moose if he has heard of COVID protocols. Heath says he has tested negative, and that since he and W. Morrissey are done with their feud, he wants to face Moose for the Impact World Championship so the fans will have a champion who will stand up for their company. Moose asks Heath if he was paying attention earlier, as he does not care if he goes down a downward spiral because of him, the war between Impact Wrestling and Honor No More, and his family. Heath punches Moose, and the two men brawl until Heath puts him down. Backstage, Rich Swann, Chris Sabin, Rhino and Willie Mack meet with Heath to take down Eddie Edwards. Scott D'Amore reminds them all that they had a deal at No Surrender and they must stick to it, and they can settle things in a six-man tag. He also states that Eddie Edwards will be here tonight to explain himself and that nobody will lay a hand on Honor No More until Rhino gets a match against him. Rhino says he will tear Eddie in half with a Gore and the blood will be on Scott's hands and his.

Backstage, Scott D'Amore chews out Honor No More for being late, but tells them that they have safe passage and that nobody can touch them until the six-man tag match. When asked where Eddie Edwards is, Matt Taven says Eddie Edwards will show up on his own time and explain himself. Moose then shows up and tells Taven that he has no problem with them and warns them not to go after him or the world title. Scott D'Amore says that Heath may be right about Moose being a joke, and puts him in a World title match with Heath at Sacrifice.

Matt Cardona retains the Impact Digital Media Championship in a .combat match against Jordynne Grace after using the ropes for leverage on a stack-up pin.

Backstage, Tennille Dashwood confronts Kaleb with a K over recent events when The IInspiration (Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee) show up. When Madison Rayne tells Kaleb to butt out and says he can speak to him - and The IInspiration - however she wants, Cassie Lee slaps her. Kaleb stands between both teams, then The IInspiration leave after saying they will see The Influence (Rayne, Dashwood, Kaleb) next week. Madison Rayne tells Kaleb not to mess things up next week afterwards.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Jack Something, who says he is disappointed after tonight. Trey Miguel shows up and says they had a good showing despite never tagging together, but Jake Something says he still wants the X Division Championship. He tells Trey Miguel that he does not need his pity and that he is twice his size, and that Trey Miguel will fear him.

Brian Myers provides "Commentate-A-Pro" alternative commentary for the next match.

Bhupinder Gujjar beats John Skyler. After the match, W. Morrissey shows up and punches John Skyler as he confronts Brian Myers, then grabs Myers. As he choke slams Myers, Skyler hits him from behind, but W. Morrissey puts him through a table with the BQE as Myers flees.

We hear from Scott Maclin, who says he does not care what Eddie Edwards has to say as all he has said was lies after he turned his back on Impact, and next week, Eddie answers to him.

Deonna Purrazzo retains the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship against Lady Frost with the Venus de Milo in a Champ Champ Challenge Match. After the match, "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw shows up, walks past Deonna Purrazzo and puts the spotlight on herself in the ring.

We hear from Bullet Club ("Switchblade" Jay White, Chris Bey, "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson, "The Big LG" Doc Gallows). Jay White says everybody is talking about them, and that he and Tama Tonga will face off at Sacrifice. He says that it is strictly business and that he had to get rid of dead weight that didn't meet his standards. Jay White says he had to make an executive decision for the betterment of Bullet Club and that The Guerrillas of Destiny *(Tama Tonga and Tanga Roa) are no longer part of it. Anderson and Gallows says that The Guerrillas were dead weight and "real OGs are for life." Violent By Design show up, and Eric Young declares their partnership with Gallows and Anderson over and demands a tag team title shot before coming to verbal blows with Jay White. Suddenly, The Guerrillas of Destiny attack Bullet Club, who soon flee. After a staredown between The Guerrillas of Destiny and Violent By Design, The Guerrillas leave.

JONAH beats "Outlandish" Zicky Dice. After the match, JONAH hits Zicky Dice with the Tsunami. Backstage, Gail Kim tells JONAH that he cannot destroy his opponents after the match because he wants to. JONAH tells her to stop feeding him appetizers, and Gail Kim responds by putting him in a match against PCO. After JONAH leaves, Johnny Swinger shows up and wants a match with JONAH next week after JONAH nearly put him on the shelf and nearly ended Zicky Dice's career, even having trained on the finer points on Australian wrestling. Gail Kim gives him the match.

Mickie James and Chelsea Green meet with Gail Kim regarding their Knockouts World Championship Match. Suddenly, Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans show up. Upon hearing about Chelsea getting a Knockouts title shot, Tasha tells Mickie she can beat Mickie any time she wants, and Mickie calls Tasha out for having Savannah help her win. Gail Kim puts Chelsea and Tasha in a next match, with the winner getting a title shot. Mickie tells Chelsea she has her back and that she will take care of Savannah, but Chelsea says she can do this on her own.

Honor No More (Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, Kenny King) beat Team Impact (Rich Swann, Willie Mack, Chris Sabin). After the match, Maria Kanellis-Bennett introduces Eddie Edwards to the ring. Rich Swann confronts Eddie as Eddie makes his way to the ring. After the commercial break, Scott D'Amore has to lead Team Impact to the back. Eddie Edwards says he can see the anger and betrayal in everyone's eyes and that they are right to feel that way, but wrong to blame him. He says he has known Honor No More for a long time and came up in the business with most of them, but that is now what they joined them. He says he felt betrayed when ROH went on a hiatus, as he felt what they did for ROH meant nothing. Eddie also says that this is not why he joined Honor No More, either. He says it is not about one time, one place or one company, and that they have identified a corruption and cancer of dishonor within the business and Impact Wrestling. He says that two years ago, the world changed and Impact was forced to change with it by opening doors that had been closed for a very long time by allowing people from other companies to wrestle in Impact, and he was for it because he believed in what Impact did. Eddie says he kept that faith when Kenny Omega came to the company, then lost that faith when Rich Swann lost the Impact World Championship to Kenny Omega and Impact failed to see what was in front of their faces. He says he waited patiently for his shot at the World title as Sami Callihan failed to win the title and Moose failed to do his job, but when the time came to choose who would restore honor, they chose "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander and not him. Eddie says it was at that moment that Impact Wrestling "truly had honor no more," and Impact had zero faith in him and he had no choice but to listen what Honor No More had to say. He says he did not turn his back on Impact; instead, Impact ripped the heart out of itself with the decisions they made along the way, as he gave everything to Impact and got nothing in return. He then says he did not think he would be here in one or two years, but anything is possible. Suddenly, Alisha Edwards shows up and chides Eddie for joining Honor No More instead of asking Impact for forgiveness. Eddie tells Alisha that she was there for him and saw what happened, but Alisha tells Eddie she taught her to keep faith and that those who got opportunities at Omega deserved them. Alisha says she knows Eddie wanted to be the man to do it, but Josh Alexander was the man to get the job done. She tells Eddie to stop bitching and celebrate with their real family, but Eddie says Honor No More is his family now. Alisha asks what that makes her, but Eddie says that is up to her as he did not turn his back on anyone and is walking out on those who turned their backs on him.
