Generation NXT 2.0 - NXT 2.0 recap for February 22, 2022

Bron Breakker heads to the ring to start tonight's show. He says that last week was a tough fight and that Santos Escobar was a tough opponent, but the only way anyone is taking the NXT Championship is over his dead body. He then announces that NXT will go back on the road on WrestleMania weekend. After Bron Breakker says that he will walk in and out of Stand And Deliver as NXT Champion, Dolph Ziggler shows up and congratulates Bron on successfully defending the NXT Championship before telling him not to make promises he cannot keep. He says that Bron Breakker will not make it to WrestleMania weekend as champion and that after he beats Tommaso Ciampa, he will decide when the time is right to take the NXT title and that he will make it his. Bron tells Ziggler to get back in the ring so he can give him a receipt for the superkick he gave to him, but Ziggler tells him that he is the guy in Orlando and tells him to take the night off, stay out of his match and watch him do what he does best.

McKenzie Mitchell interviews Toxic Attraction (Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne) at the "Toxic Lounge." Jacy Jayne says they will be watching the women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic before mocking Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez's training. After Jacy says Cora and Raquel will come up short, Mandy Rose says Raquel and Cora will never be Women's Champion as long as she has the belt, and that they are dumber than they look if they think they can beat Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin.

Kay Lee Ray and Io Shirai beat Amari Miller and Lash Legend to advance in the women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Backstage, McKenzie Miller interviews Dante Chen. Chen says Duke Hudson thinks he is a big shot for trying to end his career and talking a big game, but he is here now and he will get his vengeance. He says it will be hard for Duke Hudson to sweep Persia Pirotta off her feet when he does not have a leg to stand on.

Backstage, Josh Briggs tells Brooks Jensen that while he is "in the zone," he still has a chance. He has Jensen record a video for a dating app.

He says that last week, he had match of the night while stealing the show against Cameron Grimes and put on the performance of a lifetime. He says that everyone was talking about him and that the "A" in "A Champ" stands for "absolute best" and that nobody can touch him. As the two of them talk about Stand And Deliver on WrestleMania weekend, Pete Dunne shows up and tells Carmelo he has yet to beat him and that the absolute best should not sit on the sidelines on WrestleMania weekend. Carmelo says he cannot make everyone famous, but Dunne tells him to prove that he does not miss when he shoots by facing him next week. Trick Williams says that is not happening, but Carmelo says that if Dunne wants a fight, he will not back down. As Trick Williams says that Carmelo will beat Dunne like he beat Cameron Grimes, Cameron Grimes suddenly shows up and attacks Carmelo Hayes from behind.

He says they want people to believe they are the best tag team in NXT, but they have not won the Dusty Classic. He says that Imperium wants people to think they are the best champions, but they have not defended in weeks. As Malcolm Bivens says Diamond Mine is the real deal while Imperium are a bunch of bitches, Imperium shows up and Gunther tells Bivens to put respect on Imperium's name. Marcel Barthel says Diamond Mine will never take the NXT tag titles from them, as does Gunther, and as Aichner and Barthel brawl with The Creed Brothers, Gunther gets his hands on Malcolm Bivens only to get superkicked by Solo Sikoa. A frightened Malcolm Bivens gives Solo Sikoa the thumbs up.
