Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for February 17, 2022



Eddie Edwards beats Big Kon in the BTI match after hitting the Boston Knee Party twice.
Scott D'Amore oversees a contract signing for the Impact World Championship match at No Surrender. Moose heads to the ring, then says that W. Morrissey will not even show up for No Surrender, much less sign the contract, after what he did to him last week. D'Amore says that Morrissey, has two days left to sign the contract, and that while Morrisey is not here, he will give him every opportunity to sign it. Moose says that W. Morrissey will not step in the ring with him due to who he is and what he is capable of. He also says that D'Amore has sent one person home and that he does not want to send another person home due to how he will injure him. D'Amore gives Moose credit for not lacking confidence, and asks him to sign the contract so they can be on their way. Moose says he will go ahead and sign the contract, then tells D'Amore to prepare to send another talent home before signing the contract. Suddenly, W. Morrissey shows up as Moose makes his way out and hits Moose with a big boot, then launches him to the side of the stage. Morrisey readies the BQE, but Moose fights back. Morrissey soon choke slams Moose through a table. Morrissey then signs the contract before dropping it on Moose.



Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Bullet Club ("Switchblade" Jay White, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Chris Bey). Chris Bey says that Bullet Club is one step closer to bringing gold home and that he will win the X Division Championship at No Surrender, and Tanga Loa says he and Tama Tonga will win the Impact World tag team titles. Tama Tonga says that The Good Brothers' running days are over, and Jay White says that he will step into the ring with Eric Young, whom he calls a Bullet Club wannabe, then says that they will give Violent By Design a taste of what they are about.

Masha Slamovich quickly beats Kiah Dream.

"Inevitable" Ace Austin beats Blake Christian and Laredo Kid to become part of the X Division Championship match at No Surrender.



We hear from Decay (Rosemary, Crazzy Steve, Black Taurus). Rosemary says humans find it appropriate to call themselves monsters when they are here in the shadows, and Crazzy Steve says his skirmish with JONAH was "research" and just the beginning. Rosemary asks JONAH how it will feel when he gets in the ring with Black Taurus at No Surrender and finds out what it is like to be a real monster.

Backstage, Kaleb with a K is met by The Iinspiration (Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee), who thank him for the photos from last week and tell him that he is the best they ever had. They also say that The Influence (Tennille Dashwood and Madison Rayne) take him for granted and to call them if he wants to feel appreciated. Kaleb says he is a very loyal person, but The IInspiration says they know, as it is the one thing they like most about him.

"The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw beats Lady Frost.



Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Honor No More. Matt Taven tells Gia Miller to become a detective to find out what happened to Jonathan Gresham, and Kenny King says that Team Impact will be the ones to lay down and that he will make Chris Sabin bend the knee tonight.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Deonna Purrazzo, who says that there will be more open challenges. She says that while Mickie James talks about being a champion, she is "the champ champ," and that there will be on at No Surrender for anyone who wants to step up against "the champ champ."

Chris Sabin beats Kenny King after bringing Kenny King's shoulders to the mat after blocking the Royal Flush. After the match, Maria Kanellis-Bennett congratulates Team Impact (Eddie Edwards, Rich Swann, Chris Sabin, Rhino) for their one-on-one win, then says Honor No More are walking into No Surrender as a cohesive unit and asks if Team Impact can do the same. She then says they did not attack Jonathan Gresham and implies Steve Maclin - who is not there - did it, then tells Team Impact to get their house in order.



Backstage, Steve Maclin shows up as the rest of Team Impact (Eddie Edwards, Rich Swann, Chris Sabin, Rhino) talk with each other. He says that Maria Kanellis-Bennett is stirring the pot, but Eddie does not entirely trust him. Maclin says they must stand as a united front, or they can find another partner. Chris Sabin, Rich Swann and Rhino say they are in, and Eddie soon joins them.

Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans beat Chelsea Green and Mickie James.



Backstage, Brian Myers meet with VSK and Zicky Dice, saying that last week was an epic embarrassment and that he has had to pick tacks off his body for a week now. He says it was a stupid idea to bring tables into the match, then says Zicky Dice and VSK are two of the worst students he has ever had. Brian Myers then says The Learning Tree is done and that they are cut.

Bullet Club ("Switchblade" Jay White, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa) beat Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Rhino) in a six-man tag match. After the match, The Good Brothers shows up to stare down Bullet Club from across the ramp to end the show.
