Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for July 13, 1998

The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls.

"nWo Hollywood shows up. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan says the propaganda is about to stop, as he proved that black and white are the real colors and true powers of professional wrestling last night. He tells Goldberg his day are numbered and that he is on his trail, and he will prove to the world that he is a flash in the pan. Hogan says he has the family intact, and to stay on track, nWo Hollywood will be bonded for eternity. That, however, comes with bumps in the road. He is all eyes and all ears, and if it wasn't for Scott Hall, he would still be the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Hogan says he has heard that Scott Hall has said that Hollywood may not be the man and that it's time for him to run the show, and challenges him to a match tonight to see what he is made of. Hall takes the microphone, and confronts his loyalty for the black-and-white, saying he has done everything Hogan has told him to as he needs the money. He then says Goldberg beat him, then took Hogan's title. Hall says that if Hogan wants a piece of him, don't sing it, bring it. Hogan tells him he's got it, and that tonight, they draw the line. Hogan then thinks Bischoff is laughing, and Bischoff says he's not laughing. Hogan says the match with Goldberg should have never taken place, and wants to know where Bischoff is coming from. He makes Bischoff the referee for the match between himself and Scott Hall, though Bischoff says he doesn't know how to referee a match and doesn't want to be in the middle of this. Hall makes it clear he wants Hogan, and Hogan tells Hall he has a decision to make tonight. As for other problems that haven't been taken care of, there is a reason The Disciple is with him. The Disciple takes the microphone and calls out Diamond Dallas Page for hitting him in the back of the head with a steel chair, and not getting the job done as he is still here with 47 stitches in his head. He calls DDP out, saying that if he has guts in his body, he will meet him in the ring one-on-one so they can settle it once and for all, as the Apocalypse from Bash at the Beach was nothing compared to what he will do to him tonight.

The Barbarian beats Horace after kicking a stop sign into Horace's face. Before the match, it is announced that the encore for Bash at the Beach is tomorrow night on pay-per-view. After the match, Raven's Flock goes after The Barbarian, and the numbers game catches up. Suddenly, Meng shows up for the first time since February and helps out his former tag team partner, clearing the Flock out of the ring. After this, Meng puts The Barbarian in the Tongan Death Grip.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Curt Hennig and Rick Rude. Rude says he was forced to be at home during Bash at the Beach, and he and his family were forced to watch in vain as Hennig lost to Goldberg on a bad knee as someone canceled his flight (which he blames on Goldberg). Hennig says that last night at Bash at the Beach, he learned Goldberg's weakness, and challenges Goldberg to another match. He asks Rude to stay in the back during the match so that "Goldberg won't have something to cry about" when he wins. Rude asks Hennig if he is sure about going on his own, but Hennig is sure. As for that weakness, we won't find out what it is until the match is over, and Hennig tells us we are looking at the next WCW World Heavyweight Champion.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon, who brings out Rey Mysterio, Jr. Suddenly, Chris Jericho shows up with a book in his hands, which happens to be the WCW rulebook. He quotes page 257, saying "For the safety of the athletes involved, if the event of a wrestler being suspended, he must not be present at the event from which he is suspended, and if he is present and involved in the outcome of said match, the decision of the aforementioned match is null and void." As per the rule, the match never took place, and Jericho is Cruiserweight Champion once again thanks to the interference from Dean Malenko last night. Rey is forced to give up the Cruiserweight Championship. Suddenly, Dean Malenko show up, and tells Jericho he will not get away with this. Jericho says he is a fair man, and tells the two of them to face each other in a match to decide who will face him for the Cruiserweight title. Both men accept the challenge.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan beast Rick Fuller.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Buff Bagwell, who is wheeled out by Dr. Michael Sapella, who has been on top of Bagwell's health situation and is able to confirm that Bagwell is doing well. Bagwell says it's hard to watch Nitro with his injury, and that everything is so confusing that rehabilitation is more important. He wants Rick Steiner, the man who injured him, as he has something to say to him. Rick Steiner, who hasn't been seen in some time, shows up with a cast around his right arm. Before anything can happen, however, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and The Disciple show up. Hogan says the only thing he hates more than a couple of cowards is a couple of cripples, and tells him that when he joined the black-and-white nWo, he joined for life, and tells him to start acting like a man. He says all the "babyface crap" has turned him from Buff Bagwell to "Creampuff Bagwell" and that looking at him makes him sick. Hogan then pushes Bagwell down along with the wheelchair, and leaves with The Disciple.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart beats Fit Finley with the Sharpshooter.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Stevie Ray shows up with the WCW World Television Championship before the next match.

Stevie Ray beats Rick Martel, who has returned from a knee injury suffered at SuperBrawl VIII, after Bret "The Hit Man" Hart hits Martel in the back of the neck with a steel chair as he has Stevie Ray in the Quebec Crab. (During the match, Martel injures his neck while trying to protect his knee, and the match proves to be his final one before retirement. In an interview on WWE.com years later, Rick Martel said that when he injured his neck, he knew his career was over.) After the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Stevie Ray, who says that Booker T is in the hospital recovering from an injury that he received last night, and that he has the WCW World Television Championship because his brother gave him power of attorney to defend the title against any and all comers like Rick Martel, and says he has the documents to prove it and that he'll have them next week as he was in a hurry to get on the plane to the arena tonight.

Konnan beats Barry Darsow with the Tequila Sunrise.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. DDP calls The Disciple "'Hollywood' Hulk Hogan's shadow," and makes fun of him for complaining about having his head busted open, and says he's been put through much more and he's not crying. He tells The Disciple that if he wants some, to come get some, as he will feel the bang. The Disciple shows up immediately.

Diamond Dallas Page beats The Disciple by rolling him up after pushing him into Rick Rude, who is on the apron after getting a cheap shot in on DDP. On his way out, DDP is attacked by "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan with a steel chair, and The Disciple, Rude and Vincent hold DDP up while Hogan hits him with the chair again.

Raven beats Saturn and Kanyon in a three-way dance by count-out. Saturn and Kanyon continue to fight to the commentary table before the commercial break. Before the match, it is announced that WCW has been handed a directive by "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan's lawyers not to call him "Hulk Hogan" anymore and that his name is now simply "Hollywood Hogan."

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the third hour.

Rey Mysterio, Jr. beats Dean Malenko to become #1 contender for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship after Chris Jericho shows up and blasts Malenko in the back with the Cruiserweight title following a top rope gutbuster to Rey.

Before the next match, Alex Wright speaks to the fans in German, then Disco Inferno says that he had his match last night won until Lex Luger attacked Alex Wright and Kevin Nash hit him with a Jackknife Power Bomb. He says he and Wright don't play that way, and call out Lex Luger and Kevin Nash so they can pay them back.

Lex Luger and Kevin Nash beat Disco Inferno and Alex Wright.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Steve "Mongo" McMichael ends in a no-contest after a now-completely bald Chavo Guerrero, Jr. shows up wearing a cowboy hat and riding Pepe and dances around Mongo, saying he wants to be one of the Four Horsemen. Eddie dop kicks Chavo into Mongo, who hits Chavo with the Mongo Spike.

Hollywood Hogan vs. Scott Hall ends in a no-contest after Diamond Dallas Pge runs in, attacks The Disciple and hits special guest referee Eric Bischoff with a Diamond Cutter. Hogan and Disciple beat up DDP, then Nash runs in and takes out Hogan and The Disciple before giving the "too sweet" to Hall. Nash grabs Hogan, but Hall repays Nash for his help by turning back on him as he has Hogan ready for the Jackknife Power Bomb. Hogan straddles DDP on the rope while The Disciple punches DDP in the face. Hogan hits DDP with a leg drop and Vincent enters the ring while Hall slaps Nash around.

After the commercial break, we see footage of Hollywood Hogan and Scott Hall embracing after their match.

Goldberg retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Curt Hennig in less than a minute.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for February 16, 1998

Tonight's episode is in memory of Louie Mucciolo aka Louie Spicolli, who passed away yesterday at the age of 27. (It is later reported that Spicolli died from choking on his own vomit in his sleep after a drug overdose of Soma and wine, after he had relapsed upon hearing the news that his mother was terminally ill with cancer.)

The New World Order shows up. "Macho Man" Randy Savage is conspicuous by his absence. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan says the nWo isn't messing around anymore, and tells Bret "The Hit Man' Hart that he will be history when the nWo sees him. Hogan says that "the corporate gaga" is not going to get the job done, and says that Nick Patrick is the man to referee the World title rematch between himself and Sting. He doesn't care what he has to do or how much money he has to spend to get what he wants, as Nick Patrick is on their bandwagon and he's ready to shove money down WCW's throats. He then calls "Macho Man" Randy Savage "the biggest dummy to step foot in a wrestling ring," saying Savage should have honestly apologized to the fans and nWo-ites for stepping over the line, saying the final straw when he hit him on Thunder. Savage then makes his presence known along with Miss Elizabeth, saying he will quickly beat Lex Luger and Sting on his own before rocking the arena and beating Hulk, saving just a little bit so Hogan can apologize to him so he can spit on Hogan. Hogan tells Savage they have one thing in common: they're both in a match and they have Sting and Luger where they want them, but when all is said is done and the ring is cleared out, he will give him the beating of his life. Savage tells Hogan he'll see him in the ring.

New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner and members of his family are seen in the front row. Before the next match, "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko says he has feeling for Louie Spicolli, but out of respect for his family, he will "let it rest." Also, Jimmy Hart catches up with Hugh Morrus, telling him about a deal that he can't refuse.

Bill Goldberg quickly beats Hugh Morrus.

We see a video package of The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner).

The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) show up and head to the commentary table. Nash says that WCW has singled them out once again, as The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) say they'll take on anybody except them. Even though they have the Steiners at SuperBrawl VIII, they want them tonight because "it's our right to have them tonight." Nash says that they are singled out by the WCW Executive Committee, and wonders who they will bring out this week. Hall suggests "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko threatens to fight Hall again, telling Hall to let him know if he wants him to make him "cry Uncle one more time."

Sick Boy beats Mark Starr.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls in the crowd.

{Iblic Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) beat The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) after Nash, Hall and Dusty Rhodes prevent a double-team attack from Public Enemy and Kevin Nash hits Rocco Rock with a Jackknife Power Bomb through the table. Nash allows himself to be arrested yet, and yells "Attica!" repeatedly as he is taken to the back by police officers and WCW security.

Chris Ergel of Leavesville, South Carolina is this week's Nitro Prize Pack winner. We see footage of his Nitro party.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Nick Patrick, who has been turned down from working another match. Patrick says what is happening to him is a conspiracy, even though he admits the statement is a bit strong, and says that even the President of the United States is not safe from character defamation. He says that lies are being spread about him as part of "a right-wing conspiracy by J.J. Dillon to assassinate his character and cost him his job." As for Hogan's offer to financially back him in his legal battle against the Turner corporation, Patrick says he is one man standing alone against a corporation of thousands of people with lawyers and that he will take him up on his offer.

Mike Enos beats Barry Horowitz. After the match, Steve "Mongo" McMichaels threatens "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith and knocks the coffee out of his hands, and both men have to be kept apart by wrestlers, referees and officials.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

Yuji Nagata beats La Parka with the Nagata Lock after Sonny Onoo stops La Parka from hitting Nagata with a steel chair and Disco Inferno hits La Parka with a Chartbuster behind the referee's back. Before the match, it is announced that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart has made it into the building. Shortly after the match begins, it is announced that "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair has also made it into the building.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Raven's Flock (Raven, Saturn, Sick Boy, Lodi, Scotty Riggs, Van Hammer) is seen sitting in the front row before the next match.

Ultimo Dragon beats Billy Kidman - now simply known as Kidman - with the Dragon Sleeper.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. DDP says he has respect for "The Crippler" Chris Benoit for trying to strike it out on his own, and has been helping him so he can have him at SuperBrawl VIII all jacked up so he can beat him at "his S.O.B. baddest." He then says that he and Benoit had a discussion earlier today, and the only way they can get to where they want to be is to take out Raven and Saturn. Raven gets up out of his seat as DDP announces that he and Benoit will have a tag team match with Raven and Saturn on Thursday, then asks Raven if he has a problem with it before saying they can go at it right now. Raven jumps the guardrail and gets in the ring, but Saturn gets in the ring as soon as the bell rings. Chris Benoit rushes into the ring and runs Raven and Saturn out of the ring.

The Barbarian beats Meng with four big boots to the head after Jimmy Hart hits Meng in the head with a wooden chair to no effect.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

La Parka hits Disco Inferno in the back with a steel chair before he can have a match with Saturn. Rick Martel shows up and demands to take Disco Inferno's place. The match then goes on as scheduled with Martel taking Disco's place despite the fact that Rick Martel has a World Television Championship match against Booker T later tonight.

Saturn beats Rick Martel with the Rings of Saturn after Kidman distracts the referee and Martel fights off Lodi only to be attacked by Scotty Riggs.

Curt Hennig beats Bobby Eaton.

Tampa Bay Devil Rays third baseman Wade Boggs is seen with his family in the crowd before pyrotechnics signal the start of the third hour.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Vicious and Delicious (Scott Norton and Buff Bagwell) by disqualification after the Steiners are attacked by the nWo.

Rick Martel beats Booker T after Saturn tries to interfere in the match to win the WCW World Television Championship!

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. Hart says "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan makes nothing but excuses, and that Hogan not being the World champ and the nWo falling apart are not his fault and that Hogan is scared of him. He tells Hogan he doesn't have to find him or call his name more than twice; instead, he'll find Hogan, who he says has been hiding from him for years, and show him that he is everything he says he is. Suddenly, former WWF Superstar Crush shows up and says he's heard everything Hogan has said to him. He tells Bret he still has a friend in the business in him and says he will watch his back anytime, anywhere and if Hogan wants a piece of Bret, he'll have to go through him. Mike Tenay identifies Crush by his real name - Brian Adams - as Crush extends his hand. Okerlund expresses distrust towards Brian Adams, who then holds Bret down so that the nWo can attack him. Adams then takes his jacket off to reveal an nWo shirt underneath, revealing himself as the newest member of the New World Order. Hogan shows up and embraces Adams, then gets a few shots on Bret. Suddenly, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair shows up and fights off the nWo, making the save for Bret so he and Bret can clear the ring. Afterwards, Bret and Flair shake hands.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon, who asks Booker T and Rick Martel to come to the stage. Due to what happened during the World Television Championship match earlier tonight, Rick Martel will defend the title against Booker T at SuperBrawl VIII. Saturn also shows up, saying he has a guaranteed title shot and that he just beat Martel earlier tonight. Dillon then announces that whoever wins the Television title between Martel and Booker T will have to defend the title later that night against Saturn.

Dean Malenko an "The Crippler" Chris Benoit beat Chris Jericho and Eddie Guerrero with a Texas Cloverleaf to Jericho.

Eric Bischoff shows up before the next match, saying that due to a "right-wing, anti-nWo conspiracy on the part of WCW," Kevin Nash was fined $50,000 and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan is "running a little late" because he is currently writing a check as part of the plan to put an end to everything that's been going on.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan attack Lex Luger and Sting from behind, respectively, during Michael Buffer's pre-match introductions.

Lex Luger and Sting vs. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage ends with the nWo attacking Lex Luger and Sting. Bret "The Hit Man" Hart and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair show up to help out Sting and Luger and clear the ring to end the show.

Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for January 8, 1998

"Gentleman" Chris Adams beats "Macho Man" Randy Savage after Lex Luger shows up out of nowhere and hits Savage with a steel chair shot to the head before getting him back in the ring. After the match, WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon is seen talking to the referee.

"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff show up. Bischoff says there is nothing wrong with the nWo and that Hogan will get the World title back, and Hogan says that as he was laying out on Daytona Beach, all the women in the bikinis told him he was the man and that he beat Sting for the three count. Hogan says we will see the video proof that he is still WCW World Heavyweight Champion, as he is the only world heavyweight champion in the world and that this is the way it was, is and always will be. Hogan then says he likes all the "crybaby tears" painted on all the Sting masks, as Sting will never beat the man who made wrestling and gave everybody someone to believe in.

Mike Tenay interviews WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon at ringside. J.J. Dillon mentions the statement from Nick Lambros last week about holding people accountable for their actions, and that he observed Lex Luger running into the ring and striking "Macho Man" Randy Savage in the head with a steel chair in Savage's match with "Gentleman" Chris Adams. He reverses the decision of the previous match, announcing that Savage is the winner of the previous match by reverse decision. Lex Luger shows up and mentions how WCW has been trashed for the last year and a half by the nWo, questions Dillon being a man of action now and says he and the people are sick and tired. If Dillon wants to take action with him, that is fine, but he is tired of decisions favoring the nWo and says it is time for WCW to take matters into their own hands. He has talked to Diamond Dallas Page, The Giant, Sting and every other wrestler in WCW, and Dillon can do what he has to do while WCW does what they want. He also asks where WCW was during recent events where he had been horribly attacked, then says he and every other wrestler in WCW are going to do what they have to do. Luger leaves, then Dillon says he is just trying to do his job, and his decision stands.

Rick Martel beats Louie Spicolli with the Quebec Crab. During the match, Raven, Billy Kidman, Lodi, Van Hammer and Scotty Riggs show up and take their seats in the front row.

Mike Tenay guests on commentary for the next match.

Hiroyoshi Tenzan beats Michiyoshi Ohara.

Before the next match, Chris Jericho says he stands before the fans an embarrassed, ashamed and changed man. Jericho says that his behavior over the last few weeks has been atrocious, and that the real Chris Jericho is not the sniveling, whiny baby that the people have been watching every week; instead, it is the man everyone places on a pedestal, watches on TV every week and views as a role model. He apologizes to ring announcer David Penzer and presents him a suit jacket, then apologizes to the fans before saying this will never, ever again.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair beats Chris Jericho with the Figure Four Leg Lock. After the match, Chris Jericho has another temper tantrum, tearing ring announcer David Penzer's suit jacket in the process.

The Giant beats Meng. During the match, it is announced that "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. Bret "The Hit Man" Hart is official for Souled Out, as is The Giant vs. Kevin Nash.

Bill Goldberg beats Steve "Mongo" McMichael.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Buff Bagwell and Konnan. Just like on Nitro, Scott wins it without the help of Rick.

Eric Bischoff vs. "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko for control of Nitro with Bret "The Hit Man" Hart as special guest referee from Starrcade is replayed.

Mike Tenay interviews "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko. Zbyszko ays the moment of truth for Scott Hall is rapidly approaching, and he wants to know if Scott Hall can beat him at his own game. He remembered how impressive Scott Hall was when he started and how Hall could not beat him for the world title. Zbyszko tells Scott Hall he took him to the crossroads of greatness, and he took the easy way out. He then tells Scott Hall he is "sitting on a first-class seat on the ship of fools heading straight out to Larry Land." Zbyszko then tells Hall he can still beat him, that he has retired men who make Hall look like Mother Theresa, and that he was wrestling all over the world while Scott Hall was "in some grade school picking his nose." He then says he changed wrestling history in August 1980, and that at Souled Out, he will change The New World Order for life.

Ray Traylor beats Scott Hall after "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko distracts Hall after stopping him from using a steel chair as a weapon.

Juventud Guerrera beats Ultimo Dragon to become the WCW Cruiserweight Champion! During the match, it is announced that a $5,000 fine has been levied against Scott Steiner for inadvertently striking the referee in the back of the head earlier in the show.

Mike Tenay interviews Bret "The Hit Man" Hart in the ring. Bret says that for years, he has called himself "the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be" and that he knows "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair takes exception to that, but he has nothing but respect for Flair and all of his accomplishments. At the same time, however, he believes in himself and that he has accomplished a lot of things, and now that he is in WCW, he has no other choice but to prove himself all over again. Bret says he will not stop until he proves once again that he is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. Suddenly, Ric Flair shows up, and says that since last week, a thousand people have told him to get Bret to say his signature phrase with him in the ring and to say his "coming around the mountain again" phrase from earlier this week. Bret tells Flair he will find out he is the best there is, was and ever will be and that he will prove it at Souled Out. Flair says that in the last 25 years, some people have said stupid things to him, and says that was one of the stupidest. Flair admits that Bret comes from a great background, but while Bret was in the WWF, he went around the world 13 times, and he resents Bret saying that he is better than him. Bret says that "to be the mean, I guess I'll have to beat the man." Bret tries to leave, but Flair stops him and tells him that he will find out at Souled Out that it is not just being the man; it is staying the man.

Despite the distraction from Buff Bagwell, Lex Luger beats Scott Norton with the Torture Rack after kicking out of Norton's shoulder breaker. After the match, Bagwell is put in the Torture Rack, and "Macho Man' Randy Savage runs into the ring only for Bagwell to be dropped on top of him.

Unaired footage from the "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan vs. Sting match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship after last week's Nitro is shown. After referee Randy Anderson inadvertently falls victim to a Stinger Splash meant for Hogan, Sting gets Hogan in the Scorpion Death Lock. Nick Patrick runs into the ring and tells Sting to make the break, but Sting notices him. Sting is about to beat up Patrick when Hogan hits Sting from behind. Nick Patrick then makes the count after Hogan gets Sting in a schoolboy pin with a handful of tights. Nick Patrick hands the WCW World Heavyweight Championship to Hogan after calling for the bell, but Sting knocks Nick Patrick out of the ring and starts fighting Hogan again. Sting gets Hogan in the Scorpion Death Lock again, and Sting wins it. WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon shows up to hand the WCW World Heavyweight Championship to Sting, but Eric Bischoff gets in the ring and knees Dillon in the gut in an attempt to take the World title away only to fall victim to a Scorpion Death Drop. The rest of The New World Order runs into the ring, and Sting falls victim to the numbers game. Bret "The Hit Man" Hart then runs into the ring and fights the nWo along with Sting along with Diamond Dallas Page, Ray Traylor, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and other members of the WCW locker room.

Mike Tenay interviews WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon, who says that a final, binding decision on "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan vs. Sting for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on last week's Nitro. Dillon asks for "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan to come to the ring. Hogan heads to the ring with Eric Bischoff and the rest of The New World Order. Dillon then asks for Sting to come to the ring with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and Sting heads to the ring with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship around his waist, now with the black "nWo" spraypaint cleaned off the center plate. Dillon announces that effective immediately, the WCW World Heavyweight Championship is held up and vacant until a decision is made as to what to do from here. Dillon then asks Sting to hand him the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Sting takes off the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and throws it down in front of Dillon, then points his baseball bat at Dillon and tells him "You've got no guts." Sting then tells Hogan that he is a dead man.

Diamond Dallas Page retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Kevin Nash by disqualification after "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan punches DDP in the gut as he gets Kevin Nash in the Diamond Cutter. After the match, The Giant gets in the ring and states down with Kevin Nash, and both men go at it to end the show.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for January 5, 1998

The show begins with a limousine pulling up to the arena, and out comes "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, Vincent and Konnan. Other members of the nWo come out of a separate limo. Nobody in the nWo is in a good mood.

It is announced that Sting is still the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, but due to a court injunction, the footage of what happened after the show went off the air last week cannot be aired.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon. He says that Sting is WCW World Heavyweight Champion for the moment and apologizes for last week, but WCW was forced to leave the airwaves due to broadcast restraints. He says that there was a near-riot situation, as representatives from both WCW and nWo both filled the ring, and announces that the footage is locked in a judge's chambers and will be released within 24 hours. He announces that this Thursday night at 8:05 PM Eastern, 7:05 PM Central on TBS, WCW will unleash a new program called Thunder, and the footage of what happened last week will be aired there in its entirety. He then says that he has met with TBS executive last week, an in unprecedented move, there will be footage of the match between Sting and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan at Starrcade on Thursday night as well.

Before the next match, Chris Jericho shows up with a steel chair and a tuxedo jacket, and apologizes for his actions last week as they were not the actions of the real Chris Jericho, whom he says is a man idolized by millions across the globe and a role model for all. He says he reacted in the heat of the moment and apologizes. He gives the chair and jacket to announcer David Penzer, before apologizing and saying that it will never happen again.

Diamond Dallas Page retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Chris Jericho. After the match, Jericho becomes enraged at losing yet again.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW Executive Vice President and legal counsel Nick Lambrose, who has been in meetings with Turner executives all day long. He has meet with the Turner/Time Warner executive committee, who have authorized to read a statement. Due to the near-riot last week as well as the Sting/"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan controversy at Starrcade, all WCW contracted wrestlers caught violating WCW policies will be suspect to fine, suspension or both. Until further notice, Nitro is a WCW program, and any violations of WCW policies by the nWo in or out of the ring will be suspect to the same fines, suspensions or both.

"Chief" Jay Strongbow is seen in the crowd before the next match.

Bill Goldberg beats Stevie Ray after Stevie Ray pulls the referee away from the cotner to get at Goldberg only to get hit with a Spear prior to the Jackhammer.

John Nord beats The Barbarian in his Nitro debut with a modified Camel Clutch. During the match, it is announced that a brand-new wrestler - who is also a former WWF Tag Team champion - will debut tonight. Raven, Billy Kidman, Lodi and Van Hammer are seen in the front row before the next match.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Eric Bischoff in the ring. Bischoff tells the commentary team that there is no problem in any way, shape or form with in the nWo. He says that last week, he and Hogan gave WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon to fix what happened at Starrcade, but screwed it up even more. He insists that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan won at Starrcade, and says that nobody in WCW wants anyone to see the footage. Bischoff says that the nWo was screwed out of Nitro, and that he beat Zbyszko at Starracde by knocking him out for a 20-count. Okerlund mentions the foreign object placed in his shoe, and when Bischoff confronts him over it, "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko stands up from his seat at the commentary table. Bischoff says he'll fight him again, before saying that the system is screwing the nWo.

The commentary team congratulates TBS executive Don Sutton for being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Juventud Guerrera beats Psychosis to face Ultimo Dragon for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship on Thunder.

We look back at the dissent between Kevin Nash and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan from last April, then pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Booker T. Booker says he's on top of the world, because last week, he won the TV title for his son Brandon just in time for his birthday. He gives Prince Iaukea his due, but he's in Atlanta, Georgia and he's going to set the arena on fire tonight. If it weren't for the fans, there would be no Booker T, and they're going to rock and roll like never before.

Booker T retains the WCW World Television Championship against Prince Iaukea.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) and Ray Traylor beat Konnan, Buff Bagwell and Scott Norton adter Scott Steiner hits Konnan with a new move called the Steiner Screwdriver.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls from the crowd, and this time two young WCW fans join in.

We see footage of another Nitro party.

The debuting Rick Martel beats Brad Armstrong with the Boston Crab, which Martel calls the Quebec Crab.

Saturn and Scotty Riggs beat "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Steve "Mongo" McMichael after Billy Kidman distracts the referee so that Raven can hit Benoit with the Evenflow DDT.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. He says it is nice to know that without the nWo, the WCW can stand on its own two feet. He congratulates Sting on winning the World Heavyweight Championship, but tells him he's a walking target for everyone, including Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. Flair says he respects Bret's bloodline and heritage, but asks how Bret can call himself the best when "The Nature Boy" is on the ticket. Not surprisingly, Bret shows up, and Flair says the crowd wants to hear him call himself "the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be" in front of The Nature Boy. Bret gives him what he wants, then says he wants to add a little "Whoooo!" at the end of it. Flair dares Bret to do that again, and he does, telling Flair that if he's got a problem with it, that's too bad. Flair says Bret may think he may be better than anyone else in the record book, but Bret could not be a better competitor than him, and if Bret feels he is better than him, he wants to hear it. Bret takes his jacket off, then tells Flair that to be the man, you've got to beat the man. He's done that before, then dares Flair to do something about it. Flair tells Bret to show him again, and hope he doesn't get hurt along the way.

Before the next match, referee Nick Patrick is suspended and replaced with Randy Anderson by WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon. Eric Bischoff shows up and confronts Dillon as he chases him to the back, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage also protests this decision.

Lex Luger beats "Macho Man" Randy Savage with an inside cradle. After the match, Savage accuses referee Randy Anderson of making a fast count before attacking Luger again. Savage grabs announcer David Penzer - and his steel chair - and tosses Penzer as he is about to hit Luger with the steel chair. Eric Bischoff shows up and tries to take the chair from Savage, but Savage turns around and lays him out. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash confront Savage. Savage shoves Hogan, then Kevin lays Savage out. Hogan has to remind Savage that Luger is the enemy, and as more nWo members show up in preparation to attack Luger, Sting shows up and stands side by side with Luger to fight off the nWo and end the show.

Lex Luger beats "The Model" Rick Martel by submission. During the match, it is revealed that "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase is sitting right behind Vince McMahon and Jim Cornette.

"The Rocket" Owen Hart works out in preparation for his match tonight. After beating his brother Bret "Hitman" Hart, he's ready to beat anybody.

The 10-man tag match originally scheduled for WrestleMania 10 finally happens next week on Raw!

Jim Cornette interviews Johnny Polo and The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre). It isn't long before "Captain" Lou Albano shows up, asking if they've accepted his challenge from last week. When Polo says that they have, Lou Albano says he'll get his tag team. That tag team is The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu) along with Afa. When Polo and The Quebecers start getting cold feet, Albano threatens to take the matter to WWF President Jack Tunney and risk stripping them of the WWF Tag Team Championships.

Earthquake and Adam Bomb have a WrestleMania 10 rematch next week on Raw.

During Update, "The Rocket" Owen Hart gives credit where credit is due to his brother Bret "Hit Man" Hart, and says that if he beats Bret, it will make him better than Bret when he beats him at WrestleMania 10.

Sgt. Thompson is honorary ring announcer for the next match.

Bam Bam Bigelow beats Brad Anderson. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from Bam Bam Bigelow, who says that Valentine's Day is coming soon and that he has a heart, and it belong to Luna Vachon. The moonsault that Bam Bam uses to finish off Brad Anderson ends up being his Valentine's Day gift for Luna.

We hear from Jim Cornette, who says that he and Mr. Fuji are thinking about WrestleMania 10, as both Lex Luger and Bret "Hit Man" Hart have to be taken seriously. He says both Luger and Bret are both going down. He mentions that Bret's match with his brother "The Rocket' Owen Hart will mess with Bret's emotions, and if he snaps Owen's legs, he will be at a disadvantage. For that, Luger is the guy to be more concerned with, as he can still finish Yokozuna off with the steel plate in his forearm and do whatever he has to do to win the WWF Championship from him. He says that the prophecy has come true before, and it will come true again at WrestleMania 10.

It is also announced that Sy Sperling, president of the Hair Club for Men, will also be at WrestleMania 10. Also, Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon in a Ladder Match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship is official for WrestleMania 10, and that both Razor's title and Shawn's bonus title will be hung several feet above the ring. Whoever grabs the titles first will be the winner and the undisputed Intercontiental Champion. We hear from Shawn, who says that their match is unprecedented and that there is none better to deliver in the match as he takes bac what is rightfully his. We then hear from Razor, who says that there is too much confusion and that somebody will decide at WrestleMania 10 and that somebody will leave the real champion. Also at WrestleMania 10, Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) take on The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) for the WWF Tag Team Championships, and Alundra Blayze will defend the WWF Women's Championship against Debbie Combs.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage beats "The Model" Rick Martel. Before the match, it is announced that an article on "Macho Man" Randy Savage staying drug free for years is in the current issue of WWF Magazine, available on newsstands now.

We hear from Bret "Hit Man" Hart. He is preparing for WrestleMania 10 like he prepares for everything else. He is 100% physically and he is mentally sound, but emotionally, things are a little tougher. He wanted to avoid a physical confrontation with his brother "The Rocket" Owen Hart, whom he says is in his prime and can be a threat to anyone. He says he has not felt comfortable with the match, and while Owen is more aerial and he is more ground-based, he is confident he can get past Owen. He wants Lex Luger to beat Yokozuna for the WWF Championship, but admits that match is too close to call. Nevertheless, he is prepared for anything at WrestleMania 10.

Ludvig Borga beats Tim McNeany with the Torture Rack. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from Tatanka, who tells Ludvig Borga that he has prepared and has come with the wisdom of the chiefs and the power of the great spirit, and he will make his people proud by inflicting pain upon him.

We hear from The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) and Johnny Polo. Polo says The Quebecers have done what they said they would do, and took the tag team titles back from The 1-2-3 Kid and Marty Jannetty. Polo says The Quebecers are ready for Bret "Hit Man" Hart and "The Rocket" Owen Hart, and says they will keep the belts at Royal Rumble while Bret and Owen beat the snot out of each other. Jacques says they will defend the tag team titles and show what true brotherly love is all about.

Doink quickly beats Corey Student. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Bam Bam Bigelow, who says that he will set the ring on fire and win the Royal Rumble Match against 28 other men and one clown.

Jim Ross announces that tickets for WrestleMania 10 will be on sale this Monday at the Madison Square Garden box office, all area TicketMaster outlets and by phone. He then advertises a show at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York next Sunday at 1:30 PM with four main events. Bret "Hit Man" Hart will take on Irwin R. Schyster, The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) face Yokozuna and Ludvig Borga in a two-out-of-three falls match, Lex Luger and Crush square off, and Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) will go at it with The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre). We hear from Johnny Polo, who says that Men on a Mission have terrible hairstyles and look like parachutes. He also says that Oscar stinks at rapper and that he is even better, and predicts that The Quebecers will bring the pain.

We hear from Paul Bearer, who tells Yokozuna that it is time for his journey into the dark side. He says Yokozuna may be deathly afraid, but The Undertaker will fill his special casket with Yokozuna's body and the deterioration process will soon begin. The casket is then carried off on a horse and buggy, then The Undertaker tells Yokozuna to fear not, as he should actually be terrified.

Mike Ferrala is the special guest ring announcer for the next match.

Shawn Michaels beats John Crystal. During the match, we see pre-recorded from Shawn, who says that he will win the Royal Rumble Match this year and become the next WWF Champion.

During the Royal Rumble report, we hear from Irwin R. Schyster, who says Razor Ramon has a bad habit of misplacing gold objects, as he has misplaced the "fool's gold" around his neck and will soon misplace the WWF Intercontinental Championship, as he will be taking it with him after Royal Rumble. We then hear from Razor, who tells I.R.S. that the time for talking is over and the time for fighting has begun.

The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) beat Adam Bomb and "The Model" Rick Martel after Harvey Wippleman gets caught trying to interfere in the match. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from The Smoking Gunns, who say that they will not let a shot at the WWF Championship slip away from them in the Royal Rumble Match. After the match, Martel is about to beat up Wippleman when he is confronted by Adam Bomb, and Adam Bomb and Martel have an argument before Martel walks out of the ring.

Jim Ross runs down the card for Royal Rumble, then we hear from Shawn Michaels, who says that he is the undisputed WWF Intercontinental Champion and that he is in the Royal Rumble Match. He does not recognize Razor Ramon as champion, but he is putting his money on Irwin R. Schyster. He says everyone knows he does not like Razor, and that if he had to pick a friend, it would have to be I.R.S. He then says there is only one Intercontinental Champion, and it is him. He also predicts that he himself will win the Royal Rumble Match and earn a shot at the WWF Championship.

Crush beats Dan Dubiel with the Cranium Crusher. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from Crush, who says that he will come into the ring and go through 29 other men like a tornado in a trailer park and end "Macho Man" Randy Savage's career in the Royal Rumble Match.

Raymond Rougeau interviews Bret "Hit Man" Hart and "The Rocket" Owen Hart. Owen says that everything is okay between him and Bret, and things have not been better. He says tonight will be their night, and talks about how Bret brought a different WWF championship home and laid it on the dining room table. He then says tonight will be the night that he does that alongside Bret with the tag team titles, and he will get his big break and lift off higher than he has ever gone before. He says that The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) are going down and that they will be number one. Bret says that his altercation with Owen is water under the bridge and does not matter anymore, as they are a unit and a pair of brothers going to the top. Tonight, they will prove they are the greatest team in the history of the World Wrestling Federation, and when The Quebecers lose, they will be winning the WWF Tag Team Championship for themselves and their family as well as for the fans. He says it is showtime and that there is no stopping them now.

Come As You Are (WWF Superstar) - Superstars recap for December 11, 1993

The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) beat Chaz Ware and Paul Jones. Before the match begins, Ware and Jones drop kick The Quebecers from behind, sending them out of the ring, and they then hold the WWF Tag Team Championships up into the air. After the Quebecers' post-match attack Ware and Jones, Johnny Polo mockingly places the tag team titles across the waists of Ware and Jones.

It is announced on Update that the main event of Royal Rumble is The Undertaker vs. Yokozuna for the WWF Championship. Jim Cornette has added a stipulation making it so that it is The Undertaker's one and only chance against Yokozuna for the WWF Championship, but Paul Bearer has added a clause of his own making the match a Casket Match. We then hear from Cornette, who says there are a lot of accusations thrown around and shady deals going around, and says he made no mistake and that Paul Bearer pulled a fast one on him. He says that Yokozuna's feelings of fear were really a feeling out process, and now he knows how far to go. He also does not care if Paul Bearer or WWF President Jack Tunney or anybody is against them, as Yokozuna will put The Undertaker in the casket.

Bastion Booger beats Tony Webb.

Jim Ross advertises a show for the Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey for tomorrow night with a triple main event. The 1-2-3 Kid and Razor Ramon will take on Adam Bomb and Johnny Polo, Doink squares off with Bam Bam Bigelow, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage meets with Crush. We then hear from Lex Luger, who will be facing Ludvig Borga in a grudge match tomorrow night, saying that the stipulation that he must war a protective pad on his right forearm does not bother him, as he welcomes the opportunity to wrestle Borga with no excuses. He says defeat is a very bitter pill for Ludvig Borga to swallow, and now they get to do it one more time and see what Borga is really made of, and he will see if Ludvig Borga will admit to losing if he beats him. We then hear from Ludvig Borga, who insists Lex Luger cheated to beat him. This time, it will be different and he will show no mercy to Luger before he finishes him one and for all.

Liz Woodard is the honorary ring announcer for the next match. Also, Crush is on the newest issue of WWF Magazine on newsstands this Tuesday. As Liz does honorary ring announcer duty, Irwin R. Schyster asks if she has a social security number and if she pays taxes, then asys just because she lives in Delhi, New York and secluded from the rest of civilization does not mean she can avoid paying taxes, and tells her it is time to pay her fair share.

A WWF seasonal celebration to benefit the Salvation Army Borden Avenue veterans' residence will take place at the Paramount in Madison Square Garden on Thursday, December 16th from 7 PM to 10 PM, and is sponsored by WPLJ 95.5 FM.

We see an interview from earlier this week where Vince McMahon interviews "The Rocket" Owen Hart. Owen says the friction between himself and Bret "Hit Man" Hart started long before Survivor Series, saying he always did better than Bret but but Bret ended up being the golden child. He says that is fine, but that it is now time to step away from Bret, and he must show everyone that he can make a name for himself on the World Wrestling Federation on his own without using Bret's name. He also says he carried the Hart family honor, and when he collided into Bret, everybody paid attention to him. When he was not invited to celebrate after the match - to Bret's music - he had to tell Bret to stop being so selfish and taking all the recognition. He says he has done a lot in his lifetime, and that it is time for people to pay attention to what he has done. When told that he is Bret's brother, Owen simply states that he is Bret is the brother of "The Rocket" Owen Hart, not the other way around. He then says he has lived in Bret's shadow all his life, and challenges him to a one-on-one fight to settle it once and for all and prove he can beat him.

The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) beat Corey Student and Joe Brenan. It is announced that on this month's edition of WWF Magazine, there is a picture of The Smoking Gunns in Israel.

Jim Ross re-advertises a show for the Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey for tomorrow night as well as the Salvation Army benefit show on December 16th. We hear from Crush, who tells "Macho Man" Randy Savage that he has never been more ready for anything in his life. He says it does not matter what the fans think, as they have been a thorn in his side since day one according to Mr. Fuji. He has eliminated the fans from his life and mind, and tomorrow night will be the first and last time as he will finish it. We then hear from Savage, who says it will be "Crush Crush Night," and that when he gets down with Crush, Crush will think the New York Giants trounced him before the New York Jets slapped him. He says that on "Black Sunday," The Meadowlands will be on fire and he will whup him.

The Undertaker takes on Yokozuna in a Casket Match, The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) will defend the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner), Razor Ramon will defend the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Diesel, and Doink the Clown will face "The King" Jerry Lawler. Fowler then interviews Lawler for Face To Face. Lawler makes fun of Fowler's tie, then says he has looked at the card and has noticed that Bret "Hit Man" Hart is not on it. He then says he and his parents had a summit conference and met with fellow Canadian, WWF President Jack Tunney, on how to get one up on him. He says that they are trying to bring in Bret disguised as Doink, and he plans to remove that facepaint and reveal who he is really is. If Doink is indeed Bret, he will end his career once and for all.

Ludvig Borga beats Dan Dubiel with the Torture Rack. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Yokozuna, The Quebecers and Jim Cornette. Cornette warns The All-Americans' (Lex Luger, Rick Steiner, Scott Steiner) potential new partner to realize that it is a exercise in futility to join that team after witnessing what Ludvig Borga can do.

Irwin R. Schyster is seen advertising Acclaim's Dual Turbo wireless controllers - currently available at K-Mart - for the Sega Genesis while playing Royal Rumble. You can also register for a trip to see Royal Rumble live at K-Mart.

The All-Americans (Lex Luger, Rick Steiner, Scott Steiner) show up. Luger says that although Tatanka will not be at Survivor Series physically, he will be there in spirit just like he is now. Luger then says he is privileged to take part in an annual Thanksgiving tradition, and he and the Steiners are very privileged to introduced their new tag team partner: The Undertaker. The Undertaker shows up with , then says that throughout all of eternity, he has walked alone, and his existence has been filled with eternal darkness. He has stood tall in his beliefs, and even when condemned for his action, he stood by what he believed in. Now, Luger and the Steiners stand up for what they believe in: American pride. In honor of their devotion, he will stand with them and he will survive with them. He says freedom will ring, and The Foreign Fanatics (Yokozuna, Ludvig Borga, Jacques, Pierre) will rest in piece. The Undertaker then opens the bottom of his jacket to reveal that the inside is the original flag of the original thirteen colonies. The Foreign Fanatics show up to ringside absolutely livid, and referees keep them from entering the ring.

Before the next match, two Doinks show up on the video screen. They tell Bastion Booger that he is so ugly, they had to tie that they had to tie a pork chop around his neck to get his dog to play with him and that when he was born, the doctor slapped his mother. A third Doink pops up on the video screen, then all three of them laugh and tell Bastion Booger he will be eliminated first at Survivor Series. Bastion Booger vows to tear the hair and head off one of the Doinks.

Bastion Booger beats Joe Brenan.

We hear from "Double J" Jeff Jarrett, who is in front of the Ryman Auditorium Opry in his 1955 Cadillac with his driver Billy Joe Brooks. He says that he takes care of his property, unlike the corrupt country music industry, and and mentions that the Ryman Auditorium has graffiti on the front walls and is basically dead. He says that Conway Twitty is dead and buried, and George Jones' career is just dead. He says the auditorium reminds him of The Undertaker: dead, decrepit and in shambles. He plans to use The Undertaker and the WWF, and when he is done, they will have to rename it "the Double J-F" and the Ryman Auditorium will be "the Double J auditorium" and the home f the greatest country who ever lived: himself.

Before the next match, it is announced that Razor Ramon is on the cover of the newest issue of WWE Magazine, available on newsstands everywhere this Tuesday.

Razor Ramon beats "The Model" Rick Martel by count-out. During the match, Harvey Wippleman shows up and watches the match from ringside. When Razor goes for The Razor's Edge, Wippleman gets on the apron, distracting Razor and allowing Martel to knee Razor out of the ring. Razor alnds on his feet and confronts Wippleman, and when Martel goes for the double axe handle off the apron, he hits him in the gut, hits an atomic drop that sends Martel directly into Wippleman, and barely gets back in the ring in tim e to win by count-out. After the match, Martel and Wippleman have a shoving match, and Martel grabs Wippleman and threatens to beat him up. Adam Bomb shows up and confronts Martel, and Wippleman has to stand between both men. Suddenly, Diesel and Irwin R. Schyster show up to be the voices of reason to keep them united before Survivor Series.

On the Survivor Series report, it is announced that the official Survivor Series program will be available on newsstands this Tuesday. We hear from Bret "Hit Man" Hart, who says that there was a recent survey done with 15,000 people who were asked who would be completely annihilated at Survivor Series, and that person will be "The King" Jerry Lawler. His family will eliminate his three knights, as they all want a piece of Lawler. They plan to get a few pieces of him and throws the scraps to his father and the family cats, as Lawler will be obliterated. We also hear from Jim Cornette, who says it has been a long time coming, but he and The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Prichard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Rey) finally have The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) in a neutral location away from Smoky Mountain Wrestling officials, and they will take the Smoky Mountain tag titles at Survivor Series.

Survivor Series Showdown is this Sunday night, November 21st, at 7 PM Eastern, 6 PM Central!

Diesel beats Chaz Ware.

Joe Fowler re-advertises the show at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, November 27th. He then interviews Paul Bearer and Jim Cornette (accompanied by Mr. Fuji) for Face To Face. Cornette says one man is the most impressive physical specimen in the history of the WWF in Yokozuna and the other is the man who will meet his final resting place and whose time has long since passed in The Undertaker, and says the real problem is who will beat the other man so senseless that they cannot do anything about it, which he says will happen to The Undertaker before he enters the casket as well as Twilight Zone. Bearer says Cornette and Fuji can feel good in the fact that Yokozuna will be resting in some of the finest materials that The Undertaker personally picked, and that Yokozuna will rest in peace forever.

We hear from Irwin R. Schyster, who says history will be made when he becomes the one to ruin Bret "Hit Man" Hart's quest to become WWF Champion. He will win the WWF Championship, and he will make both I.R.S. and Yokozuna sorry as they both find out that he means business.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for November 8, 1993

Voters get to pick who faces Pierre of the Quebecers by phone: The 1-2-3 Kid, Doink the Clown, Marty Jannetty, or Lex Luger.

Ludvig Borga vs. Scott Steiner ends in a double disqualification by outside interference when Borga grabs Rick Steiner off the top of the apron only to get slammed and The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) immediately go after Rick Steiner. Rick and Scott Steiner are able to immediately clean house.

"Double J" Jeff Jarrett is at the Ryman Auditorium, calling it a testament to the corruption in the country music industry.

Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) beat Steve Smith and Cory Student.

A replacement for the injured Tatanka in the All-Americans (Lex Luger, Rick and Scott Steiner) will be named during this weekend's Superstars.

Bret "Hit Man" Hart tells "The King" Jerry Lawler that's it not only him that he's angered, it's his entire family.

The Smoky Mountain Wrestling Federation Tag Team Titles are on the line as The Rock 'n Roll Express (Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton) defend against The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Prichard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Rey).

"The Model" Rick Martel beats John Paul with the Boston Crab.

A match between Crush and Dan Dubiel doesn't happen as "Macho Man" Randy Savage attacks Crush before the match can happen. This results in a brawl between the two men.

Another match, this one between Bob Backlund and Bobby Horowitz, sees "Macho Man" Randy Savage return to the commentary table. Crush is locked in his locker room, and Savage says that if there weren't officials between him and Crush, Crush would be in a lot worse shape than he is now. Unfortunately, that return is short-lived, as Crush breaks down the locker room door and Savage goes after him.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage has been locked out of the building after his second confrontation with Crush.

Lex Luger faces Pierre of the Quebecers next week after running away with 62% of the vote.

The brawl between "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Crush continues outside of the building.

Vince McMahon interviews Ludvig Borga inside the ring. Borga makes it very clear that he does not like America, and that he can't understand why Lex Luger would stand up for the country, especially when he blew his chance at the WWF Championship. Not long after saying this, Lex Luger shows up and says he's had enough of Borga's verbal anti-American sentiment and that he has no problem sending him back to Finland. Borga says he'll face Luger on his own terms.

Adam Bomb, now with Harvey Whippleman as manager, beats Ross Greenberg.

Smoky Mountain Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions The Rock 'n Roll Express (Duane Gibson and Ricky Morton) beat Duane Gill and Barry Hardy in their Raw debut.

Razor Ramon and Rick Martel are the last two men standing in the 20-Man Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal. Both men will face each other next week for the vacant WWF Intercontinental Championship.

The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Pritchard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Rey) beat Mark Taylor and Scott Thomas.

Doink beats Cory Student. After the match, Bam Bam Bigelow and Luna Vachon show up, but officials show up to keep Bam Bam from entering the ring. Bam Bam destroys Doink's wagon in frustration.

The ending to the 20-Man battle royal that started the show is replayed.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for September 27, 1993

Due to Shawn Michaels' failure to appear for a number of WWF Intercontinental Championship defenses and his refusal to fulfill his contractual obligations, WWF President Jack Tunney declares that Shawn Michaels is hereby suspended and that the Intercontinental Championship is officially vacant. As a result, there will be a 20-man Over The Top Rope Battle Royal. The last two men in the match will square off the following week to decide a new WWF Intercontinental Champion.

Joe Fowler names the participants in the 20-Man Over The Top Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal: Irwin R. "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka beats Paul Van Dale in a one-night only appearance. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan talks to Crush via telephone, and it becomes very apparent that there are sour feelings between Crush and "Macho Man" Randy Savage.

Irwin R. Schsyter tells Vince McMahon (and especially Razor Ramon) that Razor Ramon made a big mistake costing him his match against P.J. Walker last week, and that he promises to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship. ("Mr. Rotundo" is I.R.S.'s real name.")

Bobby "The Brain" Heenan interviews Barry Horowitz, one of the men chosen for a shot at the WWF World Tag Team Championships. His partner for tonight, Reno Riggins, is at home sick, and chooses The 1-2-3 Kid as his partner after The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) and Johnny Polo confer with one another and allow for a substitution.

As Barry Horowitz and The 1-2-3 Kid take on The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre), Jacques is knocked out cold and must be returned to the back on a stretcher. Pierre has to defend the WWF World Tag Championships on his own.

The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) retain the WWF World Tag Team Championships against Barry Horowitz and The 1-2-3 Kid after Johnny Polo tosses a downed Kid back into the ring, despite Jacques being knocked out for the rest of the match.

Vince McMahon interviews Razor Ramon outside of the ring. He tells all challengers for the Intercontinental Championship - especially "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Irwin R. Schyster - that he's not too hard to find.

The Megamaniacs (Hulk Hogan and Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake) have accepted Money Inc.'s ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) challenge...and with the help of Jimmy Hart and his knowledge of Money Inc., they're going to have an even playing field...

Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) beat Tito Santana and Virgil.

"The Model" Rick Martel shows up and...does the job of the Raw Girl. In the words of Martel, "Nobody can model better than The Model."

Tatanka beats Bill Apollo. During the match, Shawn Michaels is interviewed via phone, and says that he plans to walk out of WrestleMania 9 with the Intercontinental title.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart respects Yokozuna and his record, but knows he and Mr. Fuji don't respect him at all. Mr. Fuji and Yokozuna fire back by saying that Bret is a beaten man already.

Paul Bearer is amazed that Harvey Wippleman and Giant Gonzales went after The Undertaker like they did, but The Undertaker says that Giant Gonzales' fate will be the same as all the rest.

"The Model" Rick Martel tries to replace another Raw Girl. The second one his a bit more reluctant, but Martel still carries the sign for her anyway.

Papa Shango beats Mike Edwards.

Bob Backlund beats Tony DeMoro.

Rob Bartlett interviews "The Model" Rick Martel. He says the Raw Girls have no class and decided to show them what modeling was all about. He has a match tonight against Mr. Perfect, and says that perfection is overrated. Martel plans to show Mr. Perfect why he has class, too.

Mr. Perfect beats Rick Martel with the Perfect-Plex during the commercial break. After the match, Mr. Perfect returns with the two Raw Girls that Martel intimidated earlier in the show.

Come As You Are (WWF Superstar) - Superstars recap for May 30, 1992

The Legion of Doom (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) beat Kato and Rich Mitchell. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from The Beverly Brothers (Beau and Blake Beverly), with Blake stating that The Legion of Doom wear what they wear because they are a bunch of "sissies." The Genius is overheard calling Paul Ellering a sissy as well.

Papa Shango vs. Brian Brieger ends in a no-contest when Papa Shango goes into a trance and the lights go out. When they come back on, Brieger's feet are suddenly on fire and Brieger's face is covered in black goo.

We hear from Tatanka, who says he came to represent his people and compete fairly and competitively in the ring. Unfortunately, "The Model" Rick Martel kept him from doing that when he sprayed Arrogance into his eyes, but he overcame that. Martel then mocked his people by taking the feathers handed down to him from his great-grandfather and mocked him and his heritage even more while hearing the feathers as a fashion statement. He tells Martel to have his fun, for it will be over and he will take back what is his. We also hear from Repo Man, who says that his job is never done and it is hard when people don't want him to do his job, forcing him to work in the dead of night. As for The British Bulldog, what is Bulldog's is his, and if The British Bulldog barks too long, he will put the leash on and choke him.

Sgt. Slaughter beats Bob Bradley with the Cobra Clutch. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from Jimmy Hart and The Mountie. Jimmy Hart asks Slaughter if he is ready to surrender, while The Mountie states that 80,000 volts gives him all the power to make Slaughter surrender.

"The Model" Rick Martel beats Jim Powers with the Boston Crab. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from Martel, who says that Tatanka keeps whining and crying and that the warpath he travels now will soon be a trail of tears.

We hear from The Nasty Boys (Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs) and Jimmy Hart. Hart says that The Nasty Boys can talk the talk and back up that walk. Sags tells High Energy (Koko B. Ware and "The Rocket" Owen Hart) that their high flying does not cut it and that they are going to Nastyville and never coming back. Knobbs says that they have been tag team champions already and they will be tag team champions again, and they are coming at High Energy with everything they've got. We then hear from The Undertaker and Paul Bearer. Bearer says many of the top stars of the WWF have tried and failed to put an end to The Undertaker, and now Mr. Fuji and The Berzerker are the latest to fail and pay. The Undertaker calls their feudal attempt of putting an end to him must now be punished, and says their actions must be dealt with in the most hideous, vicious way he knows. He then tells them to "rest in Hell."

The Natural Disasters (Earthquake and Typhoon) beat Duane Gill and Mike Fury. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster). I.R.S. says that The Natural Disasters have learned to stay out of their business, and DiBiase says that Money Inc. has so much money that they can handle any natural disaster.

The Big Boss Man beats Dave Roulette. After the match, a man in an orange jumpsuit leaps out of the crowd and attacks The Big Boss Man with his own nightstick as Big Boss Man slaps Dave Roulette after the match. After a few knees to the face, the man in the jumpsuit handcuffs Boss Man to the top rope before beating him with his own nightstick again. He then un-cuffs Boss Man while he is still down only to cuff his hands behind his back before choking Boss Man with his own nightstick, then slaps him in the face and spits on him before kicking him in the ribs. Officials head to the ring, but the man in the jumpsuit chases them away with the nightstick before leaving through the crowd. Officials and referees then check on Boss Man, then take him to the back on a stretcher.

The Berzerker beats Glenn Ruth by count-out.

We hear from Crush, who says that when your name is Crush and you eat guys like The Mountie and "The Model" Rick Martel for lunch, you have a short stack of junked cars for breakfast.

We hear from Sgt. Slaughter, who says that he is not The Mountie and that The Mountie has done something to him that no man has ever done: knock him down for one hour. He tells The Mountie he should have gotten the job done and taken him out completely. He then says he wants to hear The Mountie's neck snap, crackle and pop when he gets him in the Cobra Clutch. We then hear from Bret "Hit Man" Hart, who says that everyone talks about "the excellence of execution" and admits it is hard to live up to. At WrestleMania 8, he came close to getting his bell rung, but he walked out as WWF Intercontinental Championship. He says he is back on top and ready to take on anybody anywhere, and if Shawn Michaels wants to be the first, that is fine, as he has respect for him and all the wrestlers in the World Wrestling Federation; it just so happens he is up against "The Excellence of Execution."

The Legion of Doom (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) beat Dwayne Gill and Barry Hardy. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments where The Beverly Brothers make fun of The Legion of Doom, calling them "two big sissies." The Genius says that the same goes for Paul Ellering.

In Update, it is revealed through WWF Magazine that pictures taken of "Macho Man" Randy Savage were doctored via "scitexting" to replace Savage with "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Also, WrestleMania 8 will be available on Coliseum Home Video this Thursday.

Repo Man beats Chris Hahn. After the match, Repo Man drags Hahn around the ring a few time with his ropes.

We hear from The Big Boss Man, who says that every time he turns around, he adds another name to his "Most Wanted" list. Time after time, man after man thinks they can break the law without answering to him, but he wears his uniform proudly as he stands for law, order and justice and there are thousands of people who believe in him and what he uploads. He refuses to let them down, and if anyone steps in the ring with him, he will have to take on both him and the people. We then hear from "The Model" Rick Model, who says that he is superior as well as a very busy man who is getting calls all over the world wanting to know what he will be wearing this spring. He says he is a trendsetter, and everyone is looking to him to figure out what's right or wrong to wear. He tells the competition to be careful, as he is here to stay in the WWF.

We see a vignette for someone who says that when he gets out of jail, the rule of "eye for an eye, a life for a life" will apply to The Big Boss Man.

Bret "Hit Man" Hart beats Tom Bennett with the Sharpshooter. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Shawn Michaels and Sensational Sherri. Shawn says that over the years, the Intercontinental Championship has lost prestige and dignity, and that it has been tainted. He says he has everything - including the polish - to make it the brightest thing in the World World Federation, second only to himself.

We hear from Jimmy Hart and The Mountie. Hart says The Mountie has it all, as he is brave, handsome and strong. The Mountie says it is time for a new wave a new generation, and time for The Mountie. He says he proved that by becoming the WWF Intercontinental Champion, and now it is time to move to bigger and better things. He tells everyone to keep an eye on him, because he has a surprise coming. We also hear from The Bushwhackers (Bushwhacker Butch and Bushwhacker Luke), who say that they are not only doing well, but that the fans are treating them well.

We see a vignette for Crush, who says that he has always liked ro crush things for as long as he can remember. He then tells the fans to imagine what a fully grown, 6'7", 320 pound man like him can do.

The Berzerker beats Mark Roberts. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Mr. Fuji, who says that The Berzerker is his challenge to The Undertaker, and when he wins, The Berzerker and Mr. Fuji will have a Viking funeral for The Undertaker and Paul Bearer.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund is seen with several kids in Ultimate Warrior face paint, one of whom introduces The Ultimate Warrior, who is back in the World Wrestling Federation. Warrior tells Sid Justice that there was no way he could sit idly by while he and his allies attacked Hulk Hogan. He also says that there is no price too high to pay for a great friend like Hogan, and Sid Justice will realize that to become a great leader like him, he must have many friends, and to do wrong to any of those friends - his Warriors - means that one person must pay an even higher price. He says that the kids around him are his warriors, and from them, he receives his power, and for his Warriors and those who believe, eh will stand proud as he carries the banner of the World Wrestling Federation.

"The Model" Rick Martel beats Red Tyler with the Boston Crab. In the current issue of WWF Magazine, there is an article on Martel called "The Model's Fury."

We see footage from a benefit really for Hospital for Children prior to WrestleMania 8. Also, a WWF Wrestlefest arcade cabinet was on hand, and there was also a WWF Superstars look-alike contest that ended in a tie between a man dressed as Paul Bearer and a man dressed as The Big Boss Man.

The Texas Tornado beats Warren Bianchi. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from The Texas Tornado, who says he is back and dedicating his life to family, religion, country and the World Wrestling Federation.

We see an advertisement for WBF Bodystars, every Saturday morning on USA Network.

Before the next match, Irwin R. Schyster tells all the fans who filed the late tax extensions that it is no excuse for cheating on their taxes, for cheating on taxes is illegal.

Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) beat Jim Powers and Buck Zumhofe with a Million Dollar Dream on Zumhofe. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from The Natural Disasters (Earthquake and Typhoon). Typhoon says that at WrestleMania 8, Money Inc. left like a pack of cowering dogs, and that next time, they won't quite be so lucky. Earthquake says that Money Inc. will be running a little bit faster, as they will not have the weight of the WWF Tag Team Championships.

We hear from "The Rocket" Owen Hart. He says he is taking off in the World Wrestling Federation, and he tells anyone who wants to ground him that he is not a hard man to find and he will come willing, ready and able to fight anybody in the WWF. He says he is here and here to stay, as he grew up in a wrestling family, mentioning his brother Bret "Hit Man Hart and his father Stu Hart. He has watched wrestlers come and go, and he wants to make sure this rocket is here to stay as he soars to greater and higher heights in the WWF, for he is a winner. We also hear from Papa Shango, who asks how many people know him and voodoo, and says they are one and the same. He tells the WWF Superstars that when they sleep at night, they will not dream of nice things; they will dream of him. He says that once you enter the mind, you have the body.

We hear from The Undertaker and Paul Bearer. Bearer tells Mr. Fuji and The Berzerker they have made a mistake, and now they will pay the price. The Undertaker says that through the annals of time, man has had to face his destiny, and The Berzerker and Mr. Fuji wil lface their death in the same day. We then hear from The Berzerker and Mr. Fuji. Mr. Fuji says that The Undertaker has fell for a trap, and next week, he will pay for it. The Berzerker says that The Undertaker is not human, but he is berzerk, and whatever does not kill him makes him stronger. He plans to stomp The Undertaker into the dust where he came from.
