Kevin Kelly interviews The Jackyl and Kurrgan in the ring. The Jackyl says that just as the prophet came down and licked the wounds of the lepers clean, so today shall he walk into the miasmatic scum that is the crowd in the arena tonight. He says the stench that emanates from the crowd can only be matched by the stench that is at the top of Titan Towers, and the stench is the stench of conspiracy against him. He says that he is sick of the fact that he is constantly censored, kept off live television and banned from house shows despite being the best speaker in the World Wrestling Federation and "over like nobody's business." He says there are people in the WWF with limited intellect and ability who have jobs in the WWF today because of him, and that in six months, Kurrgan has gone from a corporate sideshow to the most feared man in the WWF. The Jackyl then announces that he will take over the WWF and that his revolution is coming, and he tells the fans - whom he considers too dumb to participate in "intellectual intercourse" - to listen to every word he says and "Jackyl off."

We hear from Faarooq, who says that Unforgiven could not be a more fitting title for the way he feels. He says that he raised The Nation to where they are in the WWF, but he brought them in and he can take them out along with "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman.
The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) vs. The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) ends in a double disqualification after all four men in both teams keep fighting each other in the ring. During the match, it is announced that Tennessee Lee will be guesting on commentary next week to get the word out about "Double J" Jeff Jarrett's performance with Sawyer Brown at Unforgiven.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 21, 1998
Note: This episode aired on the Saturday of the week of February 16, 1998 due to USA Network coverage of the U.S. Open from that Monday, which preempted Raw that Monday night, yet it is listed as February 16, 1998 on the WWE Network.
It is announced that D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) is considering filing a lawsuit against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin over his actions towards Chyna at No Way Out: In Your House.
The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) beat The Legion of Doom (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) by count-out. During the match, The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn) bring a dumpster onto the stage and roll it down to ringside. They attack Hawk and toss him in the dumpster while the referee is focused on Animal and The Quebecers, and sit on the doors to the dumpster, leaving Animal on his own. When Animal goes for a tag, he notices that Hawk is in the dumpster, breaks Hawk free and chases The New Age Outlaws to the back.
It is announced again that D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna) is considering filing a lawsuit against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin over his actions towards Chyna at No Way Out: In Your House, and that she is suffering from "emotional distress." "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats Sniper with the ankle lock, then hits Recon with a belly-to-belly suplex when he gets in the ring after the match. The Jackyl berates Sniper and slaps him, then turns around. Unlike Recon, who turns the other cheek, Sniper punches Jackyl in the back and leaves, with Recon following him in an attempt to reason with him.
Recon says there is no communication breakdwon between him, Jackyl and Sniper. Sniper shows up and tells Recon that The Jackyl has done all the talking and they've done all the listening, and that he is finally tired of it.
Jerry "The King" Lawler interviews Marvelous" Marc Mero and Sable. Mero says he is sick and tired of being painted as "the bad man." He says he went through reconstructive knee surgery and was in the hospital when he saw Sable in an Austin 3:16 shirt. He says that Sable is trying to steal his spotlight and become the star, then says Sable can't win wrestling matches and that he does. Mero makes a big deal out of what Sable is wearing, and says she wants everyone to pay attention to her. As of right now, Mero says Sable knows her place, does what he says, when he says, where he says it and how he says it, and that she belongs to her. Marc Mero says that he tripped at No Way Out, and that Sable knows not to put her hands on him unless he tells her to. All of ausdden, flowers are brought to the ring, and Marc Mero takes them, wanting to know who is sending stuff to Sable. Sable yanks the flowers from Mero, and tells him that not only are the flowers hers, but for once, someone else is thinking about her. Sable then walks off with the flowers, and Mero follows her to the back.
In footage from earlier today, Jim Cornette says the fans for being hypocrites for booing him when he brought his NWA contingent (Jeff Jarrett, Ricky Morton, Robert Gibson, Barry Windham) to the WWF and bringing old-fashioned wrestling back even though they initially applauded him for promising to bring back old-fashioned wrestling the way people remembered it as part of his New Year's resolution. He says the American public is so fickle they don't know what they want. Cornette tells the American people they will like what they tell him to like, that he will bring old-fashioned wrestling back and that the people will like it with a smile on their faces if they know what is good for them. Cornette says that The Rock 'n Roll Express (Morton and Gibson) will show how real wrestling is better than WWF's "sports entertainment" when they defend the NWA World Tag Team Championships against The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh), and announces that he has appointed senior NWA referee Tommy Young - a man who has refereed more NWA World Tag Team title matches and NWA World Heavyweight Championship matches than anyone else and calls it down the middle, according to Cornette - to the match to avoid "WWF shenanigans." Cornette then tells Vince McMahon there's more where that came from, the barbarians are at the gate, and this time, things will turn out differently than when the NWA took on the WWF in "The War of '84."
The Rock' n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) retain the NWA World Tag Team Championships against The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) by disqualification after NWA referee Tommy Young catches Mosh tossing Ricky Morton over the top rope, which is grounds for an automatic disqualification under NWA rules.

Jim Ross interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Olympian Michael Johnson is seen in the front row as Austin is on his way to the ring. Austin says that when you step in the ropes with him, your ass belongs with him. He says that Chyna learned not to mess with him the hard way, and tells Chyna she was lucky he was in such a good mood. He doesn't care if "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels is back home in San Antonio, Texas to get ready for WrestleMania 14, as when that night comes, he's giving him an ass whipping. As far as "Iron" Mike Tyson, he tells Tyson not to stick his nose in his business or he'll knock his gold tooth out and make jewelry out of it. At WrestleMania, it's on.

Owen puts Cornette in the Sharpshooter, and when Jarrett is about to attack him with Cornette's racket, Owen sees it coming and scares him out of the ring.
It is mentioned that Dok Hendrix was originally Michael P.S. Hayes of The Fabulous Freebirds, who drew thousands of fans to wrestling events in Texas in their feud with the Von Erichs. Dok Hendrix is then announced as the special guest ring announcer for the next match. Before a match can even occur, however, the arena goes dark and Kane and Paul Bearer show up. Dok Hendrix tries to use one of his cowboy boots as a weapon, but it has no effect and he falls victim to both a choke slam and a Tombstone Piledriver. Paul Bearer then declares "The Freebird is grounded!"

The Rock then takes the microphone to clear up a few things, saying he is still WWF Intercontinental Champion and that there is no dissension within The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, The Rock, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry). He tells The Nation that he harbors no hard feelings towards them, and gives them a couple of gifts. He gives $15,000 solid gold Rolex watches to D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa and Mark Henry. As for Faarooq, he tells him that there is only one man who is capable of leading The Nation, and that man is Faarooq. He then gives him the flat object in gift wrap as "a gift of admiration." Faarooq shakes his hand, then opens the gift wrapping to reveal that the gift is a picture of The Rock. Faarooq tosses the picture of The Rock down as Steve Blackman makes his way to the ring.
Steve Blackman beats Faarooq with a schoolboy when "The Rock" Rocky Maivia keeps Faarooq from using the large picture of The Rock as a weapon against Blackman. The picture is bent when Faarooq took it away from The Rock. Mark Henry holds the picture up, then Faarooq punches it in half. As the rest of The Nation argues with one another, Faarooq heads to the back and motions for everyone to follow him as The Rock looks down at the destroyed picture of himself, devastated.

Also, Goldust is in his well-known black-and-gold facepaint and bodysuit for the first time since splitting from Marlena and turning heel. Also, "Marvelous" Marc Mero shows up without Sable.
Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie beat "Marvelous" Marc Mero and The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust after Sable shows up with the flowers from earlier, distracting and angering Mero. Luna Vachon suddenly destroys the flowers, and Mero has to keep Sable away from Mero. As the referee is distracted by all this, Cactus Jack hits Goldust with a steel chair, allowing Chainsaw Charlie to get the pinfall and the win. After the match, Sable continues to go after Luna, and refereees have to keep both women away from each other.

Vince interviews Polo and The Quebecers when Captain Lou Albano shows up and challenges them to a tag team match with the tag team titles on the line against a team of his own creation. They are all to eager to accept, with Jacques calling Albano "a nobody."

"Macho Man" Randy Savage guests on commentary after The Quebecers' (Jacques and Pierre) theme is mistakenly played.
It is revealed that Bret "Hitman" Hart will be facing "Doctor" Tom Pritchard.
The 1-2-3 Kid takes the place of Marty Jannetty in the first match, having recovered in time to team with Razor Ramon for the tag team title match against The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre).
During The 1-2-3 Kid and Razor Ramon vs. The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) for the WWF Tag Team Championships, Diesel shows up to watch from the entrance.
Razor Ramon and The 1-2-3 Kid beat The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) after interference by Shawn Michaels. The Quebecers, however, retain the WWF Tag Team Championships. After the match, Michaels and Diesel taunt Razor and The Kid.
Yokozuna defends the WWF Championship against "Macho Man" Randy Savage next week on Raw.
Jim Cornette shows up and tells "Macho Man" Randy Savage that Yokozuna will snap him like a Slim Jim before he wins the WWF Championship a third time.
During Bret "Hitman" Hart vs. "Doctor" Tom Pritchard, it is revealed that former WWF Superstar Nikolai Volkoff is sitting in the front row. Vince McMahon also interviews Donnie Wahlberg of NKOTB via telephone concerning the group's new album Face The Music and his brother Marky Mark, which he thankfully does not have a sibling rivalry on the magnitude of Bret "Hitman" Hart and his brother "The Rocket" Owen Hart. Wahlberg will be a special guest announcer at WrestleMania 10. Also, "Macho Man" Randy Savage stops Jim Cornette from whacking Bret "Hitman" Hart with his tennis racket, and Cornette hits his head on the steel steps as he falls down, knocking him out momentarily. Savage keeps the tennis racket. Owen Hart also shows up and tosses Bret "Hitman" Hart back into the ring, complaining about how Bret always needs his help, after Bret is knocked out of the ring by Pritchard following a distraction by Jim Cornette. After Owen tosses Bret back into the ring, however, Bret beats Pritchard with the Sharpshooter. Bret stares at Owen from inside the ring, as an official keeps Owen from getting any closer.

As The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) and Johnny Polo tell The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) that the tag team titles are staying in the locker room, The Steiner Brothers are saying that they will meet again for the the titles.
Shawn Michaels beats Gary Sabaugh. Before the match, it is announced that Shawn Michaels is inside the newest issue of WWF Magazine.
We hear from Crush, who says that his Last Man Standing Match with "Macho Man" Randy Savage will be the most brutal match the World Wrestling Federation has ever seen. He says it will be Savage's last match and that he will end their feud once and for all. He plans to take Savage all over the building and pin him wherever he wants before sending him to the WWF retirement home, where Crush says Savage should have went a long time ago. Mr. Fuji tells Savage that he will personally come with a beautiful canoe, load it with beautiful flowers, and send it into the canal with Savage in it to send him into Crush's hungry jars. Crush tells Savage will have to contend with the walls and the floors in addition to him at WrestleMania 10.
Earthquake is returning to the WWF...

On the WrestleMania 10 report, it is announced that Lex Luger will face Yokozuna for the WWF Championship first at WrestleMania 10 and that Bret "Hit Man" Hart will face Owen Hart before facing the winner of Luger and Yokozuna for the WWF Championship later that night. We then hear from Bret, who says it is amazing how much depends in a coin toss, and he is not sure if it will work for or against him. He wishes Lex Luger all the luck in the world, as he would rather face a gentleman. If Yokozuna comes out on top, then they know where they stand, and he wants the WWF Championship back and they both know he is going to do it. Bret says it disturbs him inside that in order to make it happen, he has to go through his own brother "The Rocket" Owen Hart, and as much as he detests the idea, he hopes Owen is happy with what he has done as it will get tough and Owen will pay for what he has done. It is then made official that "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Crush will face off in a Last Man Standing Match where falls count absolutely anywhere in the building and the winner must get back to the ring in 60 seconds.
Kwang - managed by Harvey Wippleman - beats John Paul in his WWF debut.
We hear from Paul Bearer, who asks the fans if they can feel the spirit of The Undertaker, as he feels it all around and he feels it most in the cemetery. As a shadow of The Undertaker is nearby, Paul Bearer says The Underaker being gone could not be any further from the truth and that The Undertaker will never rest in peace, as he will return. We then see one final color-inverted image of The Undertaker.

It is also announced that "The Model" Rick Martel will face "Macho Man" Randy Savage next week. During the match, Johnny Polo rings the bell to end the match prematurely, but it does not work when he gets caught, and the match continues. Johnny Polo then gets in the ring and falls victim to an assisted top rope Steiner bulldog, causing the time limit to expire.
We hear from "The Rocket" Owen Hart, who says there is no doubt that his brother Bret "Hit Man" Hart has done it all in the WWF. However, that was then and this is now; he has never faced him and everything Bret has done was all before he met him in the ring. At WrestleMania 10, when he beats him for the three-count, that will make him better than Bret and he will be able to take it one step higher. He then says that once "The Rocket" is lit and he soars straight to the top, there is nothing that will stop him.
Dana Zielke is the honorary ring announcer for the next match.
Doink quickly beats George South, then Dink squirts water out of the flower on his jacket at George South.
The newest issue of WWF Magazine, with The Undertaker on the cover, is on newsstands this Tuesday.

Cornette says that Yokozuna will beat Lex Luger and face Bret "Hit Man" Hart, which means that they cannot find anyone to beat Yokozuna and they have to stack people up to take the WWF Championship from him. He says that before WrestleMania 10, there will be changes, and those changes will be the health of both Bret and Luger.

We relived the first anniversary of Raw with events from the show from the past year. We first relive The 1-2-3 Kid's upset win against Razor Ramon.
Marty Jannetty and The 1-2-3 Kid beat The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) to win the WWF Tag Team Championships! During the break, Janetty and The Kid almost win the titles, but Jacques' foot was on the foot, and the match was continued after the decision was reversed. After the match, Jannetty and The Kid celebrate with "Macho Man" Randy Savage and the Richmond, Virginia crowd.
Lex Luger, as well as Mr Fuji's lieutenants, Genichiro Tenryu and The Great Kabuki, are confirmed for the last three slots in the Royal Rumble match.

The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) beat Chaz Ware and Paul Jones. Before the match begins, Ware and Jones drop kick The Quebecers from behind, sending them out of the ring, and they then hold the WWF Tag Team Championships up into the air. After the Quebecers' post-match attack Ware and Jones, Johnny Polo mockingly places the tag team titles across the waists of Ware and Jones.
It is announced on Update that the main event of Royal Rumble is The Undertaker vs. Yokozuna for the WWF Championship. Jim Cornette has added a stipulation making it so that it is The Undertaker's one and only chance against Yokozuna for the WWF Championship, but Paul Bearer has added a clause of his own making the match a Casket Match. He says defeat is a very bitter pill for Ludvig Borga to swallow, and now they get to do it one more time and see what Borga is really made of, and he will see if Ludvig Borga will admit to losing if he beats him. We then hear from Ludvig Borga, who insists Lex Luger cheated to beat him. This time, it will be different and he will show no mercy to Luger before he finishes him one and for all.

Owen says the friction between himself and Bret "Hit Man" Hart started long before Survivor Series, saying he always did better than Bret but but Bret ended up being the golden child. He says that is fine, but that it is now time to step away from Bret, and he must show everyone that he can make a name for himself on the World Wrestling Federation on his own without using Bret's name. He also says he carried the Hart family honor, and when he collided into Bret, everybody paid attention to him. When he was not invited to celebrate after the match - to Bret's music - he had to tell Bret to stop being so selfish and taking all the recognition. He says he has done a lot in his lifetime, and that it is time for people to pay attention to what he has done. When told that he is Bret's brother, Owen simply states that he is Bret is the brother of "The Rocket" Owen Hart, not the other way around. He then says he has lived in Bret's shadow all his life, and challenges him to a one-on-one fight to settle it once and for all and prove he can beat him.

Shawn Michaels calls himself the real Intercontinental Champion and Razor Ramon "an impostor." He tells The 1-2-3 Kid that his career is coming to an abrupt end tonight.
According to Vince McMahon, Gorilla Monsoon took exception to Bobby "The Brain" Heenan's comments about him last week. Heenan tells Gorilla to "eat a big bunch of bananas and sit on it" down in New Jersey.
Shawn Michaels vs. The 1-2-3 Kid ends when Razor Ramon shows up taking offense to Michaels hitting The Kid with two Razor's Edges, obviously a message from Michaels to Razor. Razor chases Shawn Michaels around the ring after Michaels slaps him in the face, and is about to chase him backstage when he is suddenly knocked out from behind the curtain leading to the backstage area by Diesel. Shawn Michaels takes the opportunity to tell Razor he's not the real WWF Intercontinental Champion as Michaels hits two Razor's Edges on him near the ring entrance as officials try in vain to stop him.
The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) beat Bert Centeno and Mike Walsh. After the match, The Quebecers toss Mike Walsh out of the ring and place Bert Centeno on Johnny Polo's lawn chair so they can hit him with a clothesline.

After the report, Lawler mentions that his partners are The Red Knight, The Blue Knight and The Black Knight, though the identities of the knights are not revealed.

He was born into a wrestling family, and he was predestined to become the greatest wrestler of all-time, but he is coming to WWF to not only prove that, but to prove he is the greatest country singer of all time, as he has more talent, stage presence and charisma than anyone else. However, he has yet to get noticed in the country music business due to the fact that he is from Nashville and due to the corrupt politics in the business. He plans to use the WWF to get noticed, and the country music business will come crawling to him, begging him to sign a contract. When that happens, the sign for the Country Music Hall of Fame will be replaced with a statue of himself and the Hall of Fame itself will be a shrine dedicated to him.
In a rare twist, Jerry Seavey and Mike Davis beat The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) by disqualification after Pierre pulls Mike Davis out of a pinfall, even though Davis was never officially part of the match. After the match, The Quebecers viciously attack Seavey and Davis, much to the delight of Johnny Polo.
Lex Luger is on the cover of the newest issue of WWF Magazine available now, and his match against Yokozuna at SummerSlam is covered inside.

At Nassau Coliseum, he will make Lawler pay for what he did to him and his family, and he will prove that Lawler is no king. Lawler says Bret's mouth is making promises his body cannot keep, and he finds it fitting that their grudge match is happening at Nassaum Coliseum "where all the losers congregate." He says this match will take place close to Halloween, when his mother "can come out of the house and look normal," and he wants him to bring his mother to the match to see him lose.

Due to Shawn Michaels' failure to appear for a number of WWF Intercontinental Championship defenses and his refusal to fulfill his contractual obligations, WWF President Jack Tunney declares that Shawn Michaels is hereby suspended and that the Intercontinental Championship is officially vacant. As a result, there will be a 20-man Over The Top Rope Battle Royal. The last two men in the match will square off the following week to decide a new WWF Intercontinental Champion.
Tatanka and "The Model" Rick Martel fight to a double count-out.
Joe Fowler names the participants in the 20-Man Over The Top Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal: Irwin R. Irwin R. Schsyter tells Vince McMahon (and especially Razor Ramon) that Razor Ramon made a big mistake costing him his match against P.J. Walker last week, and that he promises to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship. ("Mr. Rotundo" is I.R.S.'s real name.")
Bobby "The Brain" Heenan interviews Barry Horowitz, one of the men chosen for a shot at the WWF World Tag Team Championships. His partner for tonight, Reno Riggins, is at home sick, and chooses The 1-2-3 Kid as his partner after The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) and Johnny Polo confer with one another and allow for a substitution.
As Barry Horowitz and The 1-2-3 Kid take on The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre), Jacques is knocked out cold and must be returned to the back on a stretcher. Pierre has to defend the WWF World Tag Championships on his own.
The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) retain the WWF World Tag Team Championships against Barry Horowitz and The 1-2-3 Kid after Johnny Polo tosses a downed Kid back into the ring, despite Jacques being knocked out for the rest of the match.

Irwin R. Schsyter tells Vince McMahon (and especially Razor Ramon) that Razor Ramon made a big mistake costing him his match against P.J. Walker last week, and that he promises to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship. ("Mr. Rotundo" is I.R.S.'s real name.")
Bobby "The Brain" Heenan interviews Barry Horowitz, one of the men chosen for a shot at the WWF World Tag Team Championships. His partner for tonight, Reno Riggins, is at home sick, and chooses The 1-2-3 Kid as his partner after The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) and Johnny Polo confer with one another and allow for a substitution.
As Barry Horowitz and The 1-2-3 Kid take on The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre), Jacques is knocked out cold and must be returned to the back on a stretcher. Pierre has to defend the WWF World Tag Championships on his own.
The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) retain the WWF World Tag Team Championships against Barry Horowitz and The 1-2-3 Kid after Johnny Polo tosses a downed Kid back into the ring, despite Jacques being knocked out for the rest of the match.

Come As You Are (WWF Superstar) - Superstars recap for September 4, 1993
The show begins with a Japanese-language report on the events leading up to SummerSlam. We then see Yokozuna, Mr. Fuji and Jim Cornette, with Cornette telling Lex Luger he blew his one chance at the WWF Championship, saying Yokozuna will be the WWF Champion forevermore. He says Luger may have won the match, but he has lost the war, and there will be absolutely no rematch due to the clause in the contract. Cornette says that if he and Mr. Fuji made one mistake, it was that they underestimated Lex Luger as they expected to face one man. He saw the adrenaline and the look in Luger's eyes that showed no fear, and says it felt like Luger drew from the spirits of the people he had garnered support from during the Call To Action Campaign. He goes on to say that he, Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji received no such support when Luger's padded forearm knocked Yokozuna out for 22 minutes and when Luger put his hands on him. He then reiterates that Lex Luger will never get another shot at Yokozuna and the WWF Championship, no matter what, as the reality is Yokozuna and the fantasies have been dashed on the rocks.
The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) beat Mike Khoury and Aaron Ferguson.

Luger thanks everyone he met on the Lex Express and Call To Action Campaign from the bottom of his heart for all their support, as well as The Palace at Auburn Hills in Detroit, Michigan and the fans at SummerSlam and the fans watching at home. He says he felt their enthusiasm and belief in him and took it to the ring with him, and thanks them for that. He also says the spirit of the viewers watching from their homes was with them as well. He says it was an honor and a thrill to represent The United States of America and wrestle for the WWF Championship, and calls the match that it was the high point of his career. Yokozuna is still WWF Champion, but Yokozuna still lost. Luger says he feels he didn't lose anything, and says that all things for a reason. He says he hasn't lost any faith or belief in himself, his country and God, and hopes the fans have not lost any faith in him, as somewhere, somehow, someday, he will become WWF Champion.
Doink beats Mike Moraldo.

Mr. Perfect says that when he comes to Madison Square Garden, everybody knows something is going to happen, and once he eliminates Diesel, he is coming for Shawn Michaels.

Cornette says Yokozuna will put a worm in the Big Apple, and if the fans want to support The Undertaker, he and Mr. Fuji will make sure The Undertaker is dead and that he does not get up from the Banzai Drop. The Undertaker commends Yokozuna for his acquisition of Jim Cornette, for after September 25th, he will need a gifted speaker to give Yokozuna's eulogy. The Undertaker then vanishes, spooking Cornette.

"The King" Jerry Lawler says there is a lot of controversy as to who the real king is. He will show Bret "Hit Man" Hart who the greatest wrestler is at SummerSlam, but as fas as who the king is, he has an expert. An Elvis Presley impersonator shows up in a pink Cadillac and says that Lawler is the real deal, saying it takes a king to know a king, and that Bret is nothing but a hound dog and an impostor. Lawler tells Bret that after SummerSlam, he is going to the Heartbreak Hotel.
Marty Jannetty beats Barry Horowitz. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Ludvig Borga, who tells Jannetty he will bring "pain, pain, and it's not gonna go away."
Ray Rougeau advertises a show for Nassau Coliseum for Friday night, August 27th. The 1-2-3 Kid meets Bastion Booger, Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) faces Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster), Tatanka takes on Doink, Mr. Perfect faces Bam Bam Bigelow, The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) defend the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu), Shawn Michaels defends the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Razor Ramon, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage and The Undertaker team up to take on Giant Gonzales and Mr. Hughes. Rougeau then interviews Razor and Shawn (accompanied by Diesel) for Face to Face. Shawn says he tried to talk Razor out of the match, but he didn't want to take the title, and now he is putting the title up at Nassau Coliseum. He tells Razor to comb his hair with a pork chop and wear all his gold, because that is as good as he is going to look all night. Razor admits Shawn is smooth and attractive, but when he steps in the ring with him, talking will not be enough and Shawn will be slapped around before he is hoisted high into the air and dropped onto his head. Shawn tells Razor he is tough, but he is the one with the gold and he earned it, and he can keep a title without getting his face. Razor tells Shawn "Don't sing it. Bring it." Shawn says he will be ready, willing and waiting. Razor says he will be, too.
The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) beat Dan Dubiel and Scott Despres. During the match, Despres breaks a pinfall by Pierre, and Pierre makes him pay for it with a double-team maneuver just like he and Pierre did to Dubiel.
Lex Luger and The Lex Express in Chicago, Illinois (where he met Bo Jackson and threw the first pitch for the Chicago White Sox) and Madison, Wisconsin.
We see Lex Luger talk about college, where he choose to play football until he got into the wrong crowd and made a lot of mistakes to the point that he had to leave the football team for disciplinary reasons, which forced him to mature early in hi sadult life.
We see Jim Cornette, Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji. Cornette says SummerSlam is one week away, and tells Lex Luger - who is meeting with the common people - that when SummerSlam comes around, he will get in the ring with a monster in Yokozuna who will tear him up and spit him out, as Yokozuna will have only one thing on his mind - ripping Luger apart, pleasing Mr. Fuji, keeping the WWF Championship, and teaching Luger the meaning of pain, fear, agony and defeat - as Lex Luger is drumming up support with the fans. He asks Luger what he will think about and how he will deal with the 568-lb. Yokozuna. He says that when all that weight drops on him, he will be squished like a grape and lose his chance at the WWF Championship. Cornette says the Japanese are honorable, but also deadly, and Yokozuna will do anything to meet his ends.

He also says it is one thing to do a cowardly thing to himself or his brother "The Rocket" Owen Hart, as he and Owen can handle it. However, when someone involves his parents by insulting and humiliating them repeatedly, a line is crossed, and Lawler will have to pay for it at SummerSlam. He promises to Lawler that it will not be pretty or fancy, but when all is said and done, Lawler will respect the Hart family name.

We then hear from Shawn Michaels, who says that he and Mr. Perfect will collide at SummerSlam to see who is the greatest. He says what is perfect comes naturally to the wrestler of the '90s, and he is way out of Mr. Perfect's league. He is going to prove he is The Heartbreak Kid, the wrestler of the '90s and the WWF Intercontinental Champion. We then hear from Jim Cornette and The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Prichard and "Gigolo Jimmy Delrey). Cornette says that in one week, The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) are going to meet their maker at the hands of The Heavenly Bodies, comparing them to American automobiles while calling The Heavenly Bodies "sleek, aerodynamic foreign imports." He tells the Steiners to get ready for the fight of their life, as The Heavenly Bodies can out-wrestle, out-fight and outlast them. Jimmy Delrey says the Steiners may be champs, but after SummerSlam, everyone they know will be calling them chumps. We then hear from "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Razor Ramon. DiBiase says Razor will go marching down the ring with a smirk on his face, but when he leaves, he will leave like a dog with his tail tucked between his legs and he will have nothing left after he crossed him. Razor tells DiBiase he has been hearing him talk for weeks and blaming him for losing to The 1-2-3 Kid. If DiBiase wants him at SummerSlam, he has him, and DiBiase will be hearing one, two, three one more time.

The Undertaker says the demons have summoned him once more to rise from the darkness, not for a match, but for a war. He tells Giant Gonzales and Mr. Hughes that vengeance is his, and anyone or anything that gets in front of him that night will be destroyed, as he has one mission: annihilate Mr. Hughes and Giant Gonzales. Savage says he has chills, and that August 27th will be Black Friday. He says Mr. Hughes and Giant Gonzales are in trouble that night.

Cornette says that in one week, The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) are going to meet their maker at the hands of The Heavenly Bodies, comparing them to American automobiles while calling The Heavenly Bodies "sleek, aerodynamic foreign imports." He tells the Steiners to get ready for the fight of their life, as The Heavenly Bodies can out-wrestle, out-fight and outlast them. Jimmy Delrey says the Steiners may be champs, but after SummerSlam, everyone they know will be calling them chumps. We then hear from "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Razor Ramon. DiBiase says Razor will go marching down the ring with a smirk on his face, but when he leaves, he will leave like a dog with his tail tucked between his legs and he will have nothing left after he crossed him. Razor tells DiBiase he has been hearing him talk for weeks and blaming him for losing to The 1-2-3 Kid. If DiBiase wants him at SummerSlam, he has him, and DiBiase will be hearing one, two, three one more time.
Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) beat "Iron" Mike Sharpe and Jeff Libolt.
Ray Rougeau re-advertises the show for Nassau Coliseum for Friday night, August 27th. He then interviews "Macho Man" Randy Savage and The Undertaker for Face To Face. The Undertaker says the demons have summoned him once more to rise from the darkness, not for a match, but for a war. He tells Giant Gonzales and Mr. Hughes that vengeance is his, and anyone or anything that gets in front of him that night will be destroyed, as he has one mission: annihilate Mr. Hughes and Giant Gonzales. Savage says he has chills, and that August 27th will be Black Friday. He says Mr. Hughes and Giant Gonzales are in trouble that night.
