"Gentleman" Chris Adams beats Greg "The Hammer" Valentine by decision to continue to the semi-finals of the AWF Heavyweight Championship Tournament. During the match, Sheik Adnan Alkahassie speaks for Mr. Hughes in the Warriors Corners, and says Mr. Hughes will fulfill his promise to Tito Santana. Mr. Hughes tells Santana he will go down for the last time to the Sidewalk Slam.

"Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr. beats Koko B. Ware in the first round with a three-quarters nelson pin to continue to the semi-finals of the AWF Heavyweight Championship Tournament, where he will face "Gentleman" Chris Adams.

"Luscious" Tommy Rich beats Sgt. Slaughter by disqualification in the second round to continue to the semi-finals of the AWF Heavyweight Championship Tournament. During the match, Tito Santana shows up in the Warriors Corner, and says he has a big obstacle in the form of Mr. Hughes to overcome. He has the fans on his side, and that the better man will be decided soon. During the second round, Tommy Rich pushes Sgt. Slaughter into referee Billy Silverman, knocking the referee down. Rico Suave gets involved and holds Sgt. Slaughter from behind, but Rich accidentally hits Suave instead. Rich jumps over the top rope to escape Slaughter, and Silverman calls for the bell when he comes to, believing Sgt. Slaughter had tosses Rich over the top rope.

Tito Santana beats Mr. Hughes by disqualification to continue to the semi-finals of the AWF Heavyweight Championship Tournament, where he will face "Luscious" Tommy Rich. During the match, "Gentleman" Chris Adams is in the Warriors Corner. He says that he knew the AWF was going to be tough, but not this tough. He says that he and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine wrestled to a draw, but the round system beat Valentine. Next week, the same thing will happen to "Cowboy" Bob Orton, Jr. Shortly after this, Tito Santana accidentally hits referee Jesse Hernandez when Mr. Hughes pushes him into Santana's path. Valentine ends up putting Hughes in a sleeper, and the referee comes to and confronts Santana. Santana explains what happened, and the referee rules in favor of Santana.

Mr. Hughes quickly beats The Superfly in the first round to continue to the semi-finals of the AWF Championship semi-finals.

Ken Resnick interviews Mr. Hughes, who said he has told everyone who he is and that nobody has survived his Sidewalk Slam. It makes no difference who he faces, as anyone who deals with him will go down to the Sidewalk Slam.

Sgt. Slaughter - in his AWF debut - beats The Ultimate Destroyer, who cannot recover after a Cobra Clutch and two Slaughter Cannons, by count-out in the second round when The Ultimate Destroyer falls to the mat and lies on the apron under the bottom rope. Slaughter continues to the next round of the AWF Heavyweight Championship tournament. During the match, "Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr. is in the Warrior's Corner, and says that Sir Oliver Humperdink did his job in getting him into the AWF Heavyweight Championship tournament, and that it is now time to do his. Orton then says Johnny Gunn will be shooting blanks when he steps in the ring with him. After the match, the kids celebrate in the ring with Sgt. Slaughter.

Ken Resnick interviews Sgt. Slaughter, who says that when the Cobra Clutch is locked in, nobody gets out. He doesn't know who to look forward to more in the next round between either "Luscious" Tommy Rich or Tony Atlas, but he will take on either man.

"Luscious" Tommy Rich beats "Mr. U.S.A." Tony Atlas by pinfall in the second round to continue to the next round of the AWF Heavyweight Championship tournament after Rich shifts his weight to reverse a vertical suplex into the ring into a pinfall and Rico Suave grabs Atlas' ankle. During the match, "Gentleman" Chris Adams is in the Warriors Corner, and says that the American Wrestling Federation has everything he wants: real wrestling, fantastic competition and the round system. The Warrior is a big man, but he has a big spirit, and he's coming for him.

Ken Resnick interviews Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, who says that while Tony Atlas is a great wrestler in his own right, "Luscious" Tommy Rich is a man of know-how and brains, which is why Rich is in the Rico Suave family. Next week, he will give Jimmie Powers the wrestling lesson of his life in the first round of the AWF Heavyweight Championship tournament. Rico Suave shows up with Tommy Rich, and tells Valentine he hit the nail on the head, while Tommy Rich tells Sgt. Slaughter that the kids will not help him when he gets through with him. Rico Suave asks if Sgt. Slaughter is a draft dodger, and says that if Valentine and Rich faced each other in the tournament, it would make for a great match.

Koko B. Ware beats Nails by disqualification after Nails tosses him over the top rope seconds into their match, and continues to the semi-finals of the AWF Heavyweight Championship tournament. During the match, The Warlord is in the Warriors Corner, and he tells "Gentleman" Chris Adams that he will know how powerful he is and how bad pain can feel when he beats him and goes on to become the AWF Heavyweight Champion. After the match, Nails strangles Koko B. Ware with a microphone cable, then "Mr. U.S.A." Tony Atlas gets in the ring and stares Nails down while protecting Koko B. Ware. Nails slowly backs away.

Ken Resnick interviews Tito Santana, who is facing Hercules. He is nervous about Hercules, but it is Sheik Adnan Alkahassie, who does not care about the rules, who worries him. After he says that the Sheik is on the same level as Hercules when it comes to being up to no good, The Sheik interrupts the interview, and Santana is attacked from behind by Hercules.

Tito Santana beats Hercules by pinfall in the second round to continue to the semi-finals of the AWF Heavyweight Championship tournament after Hercules accidentally knocks Sheik Adnan Alkahassie off the apron.

"Gentleman" Chris Adams beats Bobby Bradley by pinfall in the second round. During the match, it is announced by Terry Taylor that he has learned from AWF President Paul Alperstein that the pairings for the AWF Heavyweight Championship tournament have been made, and that the tournament will start next week.

Ken Resnick interviews "Gentleman" Chris Adams, who talks about the round system again and that the AWF has everything has he wants: real wrestling, real wrestlers and the round system. He knows his work is cut out for him, and hopes he is in the AWF Heavyweight Championship Tournament.

Johnny Gunn beats Jimie V. by pinfall in the first round.

Ken Resnick interviews Sheik Adnan Alkahassie and Hercules. He refuses to say if he has paid Hercules' fine yet, and wants to know if Hercules is in the AWF Heavyweight Championship tournament. They are not happy when told that the names have to be drawl out of a barrel by AWF President Paul Alperstein. The Sheik says there is now way Hercules is in the tournament as the AWF are scared he will the win the title. The Sheik then goes on to say that if he does go on to win the title, Hercules will make him happy and he will pay Hercules a lot of money.

Gret "The Hammer" Valentine beats Ronnie Vegas with the Figure Four Leg Lock in the second round. During the match, The Warlord is seen in the Warriors Corner, saying that he knows there is a tournament and wants to be in it, as he will become the champion and everyone will see what he's all about. After the match, Valentine refuses to release the hold for a few seconds after the bell rings.

Ken Resnick interviews "Luscious" Tommy Rich, saying that when you have a brain like Rico Suave's and two wrestling machines like him and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, things have to go your way. He knows about the tournament drawing, and says Rico has a lot of scratch and that he and Valentine will be in the tournament - a statement that Ken Resnick thinks implies that they want to bribe AWF President Paul Alperstein to enter the tournament. Rico Suave and Valentine show up, and Rico Suave says he'll be upset if one of his two men doesn't make it into the tournament. When hearing that the AWF Heavyweight Championship will be 12 rounds, Valentine says that's fine by him as he likes long matches and thrives on competition. He says the match he just had was a warm-up, and that Ronnie Vegas wasn't even in his caliber. He says that nobody wants to be in the Figure Four Leg Lock, as he is the only one with a key and he is the key to winning this tournament.

"Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr. beats Billy Jo Eaton by pinfall in the first round.

Ken Resnick interviews AWF President Paul Alperstein, who draws the pairings for the AWF Heavyweight Championship tournament from a tumbler. He says that he took a look at the top 50 wrestlers in the world, and asked them if they would sign a contract to take part in the tournament, which they did, and now has the top 16 ready to select. Here are the pairings: Hercules will face Tito Santana, Hurricane Smith will face "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka, "Luscious" Tommy Rich will face Tony Atlas, Sgt. Slaughter will face The Ultimate Destroyer, Koko B. Ware will face Nails (whose fines have been paid, but whose rule-breaking actions will not be tolerated), Johnny Gunn will face "Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr., The Warlord will face "Gentleman" Chris Adams, and Jimi Powers will face Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. Sheik Adnan Alkahassie then shows up, angry that Mr. Hughes was not in the tournament. Alperstein tells the Sheik that Mr. Hughes' name was not in the box because he did not pay his $3,000 fine, much to Mr. Hughes' chagrin. Alperstein tells him that if he pays the fine, he will be the first alternate in the tournament. Should any man in the tournament not be able to wrestle, Mr. Hughes can immediately take their spot. The Sheik tells Alperstein "We'll see about that."

Before Hurricane Smith faces "Hawkeye" Cody Hunter, Sheik Adnan Alkahassie motions Hunter and offers him so much money he won't have to wrestle again. Hunter takes the money, and Mr. Hughes, who shows up with the Sheik, blindsides Hunter so he can take Hunter's place in the match.

Mr. Hughes quickly beats Hurricane Smith, then Sheik Adnan Alkahassie keeps the referee busy so that Mr. Hughes can injure Hurricane Smith with a top rope knee drop to the eye socket and a sidewalk slam to the concrete floor outside of the ring as part of a plan to force himself into the AWF Heavyweight Championship tournament. Referees check on Hurricane Smith outside of the ring, and Hurricane Smith has to be taken away on a stretcher.

It is announced that Hurricane Smith has a concussion and two or three cracked ribs on his left side, and that he will be replaced in the AWF Heavyweight Championship by Mr. Hughes.

Sheik Adnan Alkahassie introduces "The Mighty" Hercules before the next match.

Hercules beats Jimie V. by pinfall in the first round.

Ken Resnick interviews Sheik Adnan Alkahassie and Hercules. The Sheik promises that the caravan will continue. Hercules says he was promised that the wrestlers in the AWF would be the biggest, the baddest and the greatest top-name stars throughout the world, and promises that he will beat them all.

The Texas Hangmen (Killer and Psycho) beat Butler Stevens and Mike Brahm by pinfall in the first round. During the match, Sgt. Slaughter is seen in the Warriors Corner, saying it's great to be the AWF and thanks all the fans, saying he'll be back in the AWF real soon.

Ken Resnick interviews Tito Santana. He says the only thing he doesn't like about The Texas Hangmen (Killer and Psycho) are their style and their manager, Sir Oliver Humperdink. He then goes on to say that the fans like the round system a lot, and that the list of wrestlers wanting to come into the AWF is growing by the day. He says the AWF is bringing back wrestling with Sgt. Slaughter, "Gentleman" Chris Adams, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, "Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr., and the list goes on. He says he appreciates the AWF fans and that he will always fight for them.

Hurricane Smith quickly beats Lightning Rod in the first round.

Mr. Hughes beats Bobby Bradley in the first round. During the match, Michael P.S. Hayes shows up in the Warriors Corner to announce he is in the AWF, and when opportunity knocks, this Fabulous Freebird knows how to rock.

Ken Resnick interviews AWF President Paul Alperstein, but Mr. Hughes shows up, claiming that this is his interview time and that nobody will enforce the rules on him. Alperstein fines Mr. Hughes $3,000 for starting his match before the bell rings. He tells Alperstein that nobody makes a fool out of him, and if he throws the dogs in front of them, he'll kick them like the dogs that they are. Give him some time, and anybody will go down.

"Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr. - managed by Sir Oliver Humperdink - beats Trevor Blanchard in the first round.

Ken Resnick interviews Sir Oliver Humperdink, who says he's here for all the marbles, and wherever he goes, he fits into the picture, and he's here in the AWF to do just that. He says that "Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr. will wear the AWF World Heavyweight Championship once day . Orton talks about how he took a very good wrestler and broke him, and says it's all about bending the rules but not breaking them.

"Gentleman" Chris Adams beats Ron Powers with a superkick out of nowhere in the third round. During the second round, Rico Suave and "Luscious" Tommy Rich show up in the Warriors Corner. Tommy Rich calls Rico Suave the best manager in wrestling, and says he, Rico Suave and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine have something in store next week. During the commercial break, Ron Powers continued to attack "Gentleman" Chris Adams before the third round can begin, and the referee has to keep Powers from attacking Adams with the stool before the bell can ring.

Ken Resnick interviews "Gentleman" Chris Adams, who knew that the American Wrestling Federation was the place for him as it has real wrestling and the best wrestlers in the world. He admits that Ron Powers was good, but he had an advantage in being used to the round system whereas Powers was not. He says that he is going to use the round system like the AWF, and that "Gnetleman" Chris Adams is the name.

Ken Resnick interviews The Warlord, who is in a tag team match next week. As for who his partner will be, he says his partner will be bigger, badder and crazier than him and is none other than Nails. When asked what makes him think he can control Nails, The Warlords simply asks, "What makes you think I want to?"

Come As You Are (WWF Superstar) - Superstars recap for August 21, 1993

"The King" Jerry Lawler says there is a lot of controversy as to who the real king is. He will show Bret "Hit Man" Hart who the greatest wrestler is at SummerSlam, but as fas as who the king is, he has an expert. An Elvis Presley impersonator shows up in a pink Cadillac and says that Lawler is the real deal, saying it takes a king to know a king, and that Bret is nothing but a hound dog and an impostor. Lawler tells Bret that after SummerSlam, he is going to the Heartbreak Hotel.

Marty Jannetty beats Barry Horowitz. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Ludvig Borga, who tells Jannetty he will bring "pain, pain, and it's not gonna go away."

Ray Rougeau advertises a show for Nassau Coliseum for Friday night, August 27th. The 1-2-3 Kid meets Bastion Booger, Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) faces Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster), Tatanka takes on Doink, Mr. Perfect faces Bam Bam Bigelow, The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) defend the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu), Shawn Michaels defends the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Razor Ramon, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage and The Undertaker team up to take on Giant Gonzales and Mr. Hughes. Rougeau then interviews Razor and Shawn (accompanied by Diesel) for Face to Face. Shawn says he tried to talk Razor out of the match, but he didn't want to take the title, and now he is putting the title up at Nassau Coliseum. He tells Razor to comb his hair with a pork chop and wear all his gold, because that is as good as he is going to look all night. Razor admits Shawn is smooth and attractive, but when he steps in the ring with him, talking will not be enough and Shawn will be slapped around before he is hoisted high into the air and dropped onto his head. Shawn tells Razor he is tough, but he is the one with the gold and he earned it, and he can keep a title without getting his face. Razor tells Shawn "Don't sing it. Bring it." Shawn says he will be ready, willing and waiting. Razor says he will be, too.

The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) beat Dan Dubiel and Scott Despres. During the match, Despres breaks a pinfall by Pierre, and Pierre makes him pay for it with a double-team maneuver just like he and Pierre did to Dubiel.

Lex Luger and The Lex Express in Chicago, Illinois (where he met Bo Jackson and threw the first pitch for the Chicago White Sox) and Madison, Wisconsin.

We see Lex Luger talk about college, where he choose to play football until he got into the wrong crowd and made a lot of mistakes to the point that he had to leave the football team for disciplinary reasons, which forced him to mature early in hi sadult life.

We see Jim Cornette, Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji. Cornette says SummerSlam is one week away, and tells Lex Luger - who is meeting with the common people - that when SummerSlam comes around, he will get in the ring with a monster in Yokozuna who will tear him up and spit him out, as Yokozuna will have only one thing on his mind - ripping Luger apart, pleasing Mr. Fuji, keeping the WWF Championship, and teaching Luger the meaning of pain, fear, agony and defeat - as Lex Luger is drumming up support with the fans. He asks Luger what he will think about and how he will deal with the 568-lb. Yokozuna. He says that when all that weight drops on him, he will be squished like a grape and lose his chance at the WWF Championship. Cornette says the Japanese are honorable, but also deadly, and Yokozuna will do anything to meet his ends.

Adam Bomb beats Mike Maraldo. During the match, Johnny Polo mockingly pours his mint julep on Maraldo outside of the ring at ringside when Adam Bomb tosses him out of the ring.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage - going by the name "Rappin' Randy" - and Men on a Mission (Mabel, Oscar, Mo) rap about Lex Luger and The Lex Express' Call To Action.

Mr. Hughes vs. Mike Bucci. During the match, "The King" Jerry Lawler leaves the commentary table, saying girls are all over the Elvis Presley impersonator's Cadillac. After the match, Mr. Hughes destroys the nearby funeral wreath, then dares The Undertaker to come and get his urn back.

Boni Blackwell interviews Bret "Hit Man" Hart. Bret says "The King" Jerry Lawler only claims to be a king while he himself has earned all of his accomplishments, including becoming King of the Ring. He also says it is one thing to do a cowardly thing to himself or his brother "The Rocket" Owen Hart, as he and Owen can handle it. However, when someone involves his parents by insulting and humiliating them repeatedly, a line is crossed, and Lawler will have to pay for it at SummerSlam. He promises to Lawler that it will not be pretty or fancy, but when all is said and done, Lawler will respect the Hart family name.

Bam Bam Bigelow beats Bobby Who. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Tatanka and The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn), who say that they will take care of Bigelow and The Headshirinkers (Samu and Fatu) at SummerSlam. "The King" Jerry Lawler returns to commentary after the match.

On th e SummerSlam report, it is announced that the official SummerSlam program will be available on newsstands this Tuesday. We then hear from Shawn Michaels, who says that he and Mr. Perfect will collide at SummerSlam to see who is the greatest. He says what is perfect comes naturally to the wrestler of the '90s, and he is way out of Mr. Perfect's league. He is going to prove he is The Heartbreak Kid, the wrestler of the '90s and the WWF Intercontinental Champion. We then hear from Jim Cornette and The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Prichard and "Gigolo Jimmy Delrey). Cornette says that in one week, The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) are going to meet their maker at the hands of The Heavenly Bodies, comparing them to American automobiles while calling The Heavenly Bodies "sleek, aerodynamic foreign imports." He tells the Steiners to get ready for the fight of their life, as The Heavenly Bodies can out-wrestle, out-fight and outlast them. Jimmy Delrey says the Steiners may be champs, but after SummerSlam, everyone they know will be calling them chumps. We then hear from "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Razor Ramon. DiBiase says Razor will go marching down the ring with a smirk on his face, but when he leaves, he will leave like a dog with his tail tucked between his legs and he will have nothing left after he crossed him. Razor tells DiBiase he has been hearing him talk for weeks and blaming him for losing to The 1-2-3 Kid. If DiBiase wants him at SummerSlam, he has him, and DiBiase will be hearing one, two, three one more time.

Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) beat "Iron" Mike Sharpe and Jeff Libolt.

Ray Rougeau re-advertises the show for Nassau Coliseum for Friday night, August 27th. He then interviews "Macho Man" Randy Savage and The Undertaker for Face To Face. The Undertaker says the demons have summoned him once more to rise from the darkness, not for a match, but for a war. He tells Giant Gonzales and Mr. Hughes that vengeance is his, and anyone or anything that gets in front of him that night will be destroyed, as he has one mission: annihilate Mr. Hughes and Giant Gonzales. Savage says he has chills, and that August 27th will be Black Friday. He says Mr. Hughes and Giant Gonzales are in trouble that night.

This Sunday night: The WWF SummerSlam Spectacular with The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) defending the WWF Tag Team Championships against Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) in a Steel Cage Match, as well as Yokozuna vs. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan!

Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 9, 1993

The Lex Express rolls to Chicago for the Lex Luger Call to Action.

Tatanka beats Mr. Hughes by count-out. After the match, Mr. Hughes attacks Tatanka with The Undertaker's urn before destroying the black funeral wreathe sent to him earlier in the match.

We see more of what makes Lex Luger tick and how he got his start in professional wrestling.

The Bushwhackers (Butch and Luke) and The Macho Midget beat Blake Beverly, The Brooklyn Brawler and Little Louie.

Vince McMahon, "Macho Man" Randy Save and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan are in the ring with the Board of Directors for the contract signing for Lex Luger vs. Yokozuna for the WWF Championship. As Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji enter the ring, Jim Cornette follows them in. Fuji declares Cornette the official American spokesperson for Yokozuna. Cornette praises Japan, and says that Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji's opportunities have been burdened by their limited knowledge of the English language. He checks over the contract for the match, and both Cornette and Mr. Fuji both approve. Lex Luger shows up in a three-piece suit complete with an American flag tie, and both competitors sit down. Yokozuna signs the contract while staring menacingly at Luger, and Luger also signs the contract. Both men stand up, but Jim Cornette says a clause has been added: if he doesn't beat Yokozuna, there will be no rematch. Lex Luger doesn't sweat this last-minute addition to the contract, saying he only needs one shot to beat Yokozuna and take the title. Yokozuna pushes the table away and stares straight at Lex Luger as he speaks, then flicks his sweat at him before Luger leads a "USA" chant.

Razor Ramon beats Dan Dubiel.

The Heavenly Bodies ("Doctor" Tom Pritchard and "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Rey) beat Mike Bucci and Bobby Who. After the match, Jim Cornette calls out The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner), asking for a response to his challenge.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan takes on Yokozuna and The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) take on Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) in a Steel Cage Match for the WWF World Tag Team Championships in the SummerSlam Spectacular on Sunday, August 22 at 8 PM on USA!

Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) beat The Brooklyn Brawler and Brian Costello. After the match, "The King" Jerry Lawler uses the Magistrator to show that Mabel reminds him of Shamu.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund advertises the show at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, August 13th. A six-man elimination tag match of Mr. Perfect, Tatanka and Marty Jannetty vs. Shawn Michaels, Diesel and Bam Bam Bigelow is scheduled for that night. The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) will face The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu), The 1-2-3 Kid will face Doink, "Macho Man" Randy Savage will face "The King" Jerry Lawler, and Yokozuna will defend the WWF Championship in a steel cage against Bret "Hit Man" Hart. Okerlund interviews Doink and The 1-2-3 Kid for Face To Face. The Kid says it will be an honor to be at Madison Square Garden, as he never got to go there growing up. He has always wanted to go there to see something, but now he gets to perform in it. Doink laughs, says all he sees in The 1-2-3 Kid is a kid. Okerlund also interviews "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who says he does not like how "The King" Jerry Lawler is acting, especially when Lawler is being a jerk and he is not allowed to physically attack him on commentary. He has called up WWF President Jack Tunner, and now he gets his wish on August 13th. He will do Bret "Hit Man" Hart a favor and slap Lawler in the face.

Adam Bomb beats Tony DeVito.

We see footage of Lex Luger traveling across America in the Lex Express.

Mr. Hughes beats Jason Headings. A black funeral wreath is brought out to ringside during the match, and Mr. Hughes destroys it after.

The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu) beat Dave Thornberg and Bret Tyler. Before the end of the match, Samu and Fatu beat on each other after both of their opponents are knocked unconscious during the match, then Fatu goes for the top rope splash for the win.

On the SummerSlam Report, it is announced that Shawn Michaels will be defending the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Mr. Perfect. We then hear from Bret "Hit Man" Hart, he says that what irks him is when "The King" Jerry Lawler stoops so low to the point that he drags his family into things. He does his job in the ring, but he keeps his family life separate from his work life. When Lawler went up into and humiliated his parents and also did what he did to his brother "The Rocket" Owen Hart, he went too far. He now looks forward to destroying Lawler at SummerSlam, and when he gets in the ring, it will look like the scaffold where members of royalty were taken and beheaded. He says Lawler will be beheaded when he wipes him out.

Mr. Perfect beats Glenn Ruth.

We see a video package of Ludvig Borga.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund advertises a show for Nassau Coliseum for Friday night, August 27th. Mr. Perfect faces Bam Bam Bigelow, The 1-2-3 Kid meets Bastion Booger, Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) faces Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster), Tatanka takes on Doink, The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) defend the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu), Shawn Michaels defends the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Razor Ramon, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage and The Undertaker team up to take on Giant Gonzales and Mr. Hughes. Okerlund then interviews Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels for Face To Face. Shawn says he never perspires, and says Razor is on a winning streak like the New York Mets have a winning streak, and he only has as much of a chance of winning the Intercontinental Championship from him as the Mets have of winning the World Series. Razor tells Shawn he is better, bigger, stronger, faster, meaner and way better looking than he is, and at Nassau Coliseum, all the ladies are coming to see him. Shawn says he has heard those claims before, and then asks why everyone else who has made those claims are not carrying the Intercontinental title. He says that being big and bad does not make you the wrestler of the '90s, and says he is far beyond everyone else in the WWF and that this is not going to change.

WrestleMania: The Album is now available in record stores everywhere. We then see the music video for "WrestleMania."

Before the next match, Bam Bam Bigelow says he cannot believe Sensational Sherri. As soon as he says she hurt Luna Vachon - who is wearing a black cast on one of her arms - Sherri sticks his tongue out at him. Bigelow says that she hurt Luna, she hurt him. He is sick and tired of having her around, and says her smirk should be knocked off of her face. When Bigelow asks "You know who you are?", Sherri slaps Bigelow, who corners her. Luna then chokes Sherri from behind. Tatanka shows up and gets the better of Bigelow, then runs to the corner to save Sherri. Sensational Sherri vs. Luna Vachon ends in a no-contest.

Doink tells "Macho Man" Randy Savage that he's going to get it if he interferes in another one of his matches...and that he has a surprise for him if he's "a good little Macho Man."

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart's parents, Stu and Helen Hart, are in the rafters to see their son tonight.

As Bret Hart takes on Bam Bam Bigelow, "The King" Jerry Lawler shows up in the rafters and pesters Bret's parents, Stu and Helen Hart. Bret heads up to the rafters, and Bam Bam Bigelow beats Bret Hart by count-out as Bret looks for Lawler. He doesn't find him, and checks on his parents afterwards.

Lex Luger has officially gotten his match against Yokozuna for the WWE Championship. Jack Tunney declares that Luger must wear an elbow pad due to the power of the steel plate in his forearm.

Another black wreathe is brought in when Mr. Hughes takes on Ross Greenburg.

Mr. Hughes beats Ross Greenburg. Once again, Mr. Hughes destroys the black funeral wreathe after the match.

WrestleMania: The Album will be available tomorrow at K-Mart. Also, "Macho Man" Randy Savage presented a new ukelele to Tiny Tim to replace the one destroyed by "The King" Jerry Lawler.

The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) beat Dwayne Gill and Glen Ruth.

We get our first look at Ludvig Borga, and he's definitely not a big fan of the United States of America.

Lex Luger was interviewed by Vince McMahon outside of the ring before tonight's show. He's glad to have his match against Yokozuna, and he has no problem wearing an elbow pad for the match as per Jack Tunney. The Lex Express will continue to roll until SummerSlam.

The Lex Luger Call To Action Campaign continues in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Doink beats Phil Apollo. After the match, Doink hounds "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and challenges him to a match. As Doink says next week is fine with him, two more Doinks show up: one in the ring and another in the rafters. Savage accepts the challenge, and tells Doink he has some surprises for him.

D Doink beats Ken Hamilton. Before the match, Doink looks at the camera, and the image on-screen splits into two before combining back into one to briefly create the illusion of a second Doink.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund announces that Lex Lugger and the Lex Express can be seen across New York City tomorrow and Tuesday. It is announced that The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) will take on The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu), The 1-2-3 Kid will take on Doink and "Macho Man" Randy Savage will take on "The King" Jerry Lawler. The WWF Championship Steel Cage Match between Bret "Hit Man" Hart vs. Yokozuna will also take place that night. Okerlund then interviews the team of Marty Janetty, Mr. Perfect and Tatanka as well as the team of Bam Bam Bigelow, Diesel and "The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels, as both teams will face each other that night in a six-man elimination tag team match. Shawn says he doesn't want to give his team any thoughts that they will have an easy time, but none of their opponents could take the Intercontinental title from him. Diesel says that the last time he saw a team that formidable was when "Rob, Chip and Ernie were on prime time." Bigelow says that Perfect will be the first to go, and Tatanka will go out in flames. Tatanka says Bam Bam will be the first to go, as there is no love lost between them. As for Shawn, he's beaten him three times.

Mr. Hughes beats Marty Jannetty after turning a top rope cross body into a power slam.

It is announced that there wil be a Rest In Peace Match between The Undertaker and Giant Gonzales has been made official for SummerSlam.

It is announced that Crush has suffered a collapsed chest cavity at the hands of Yokozuna last week on Raw, and that he is currently convalescing at home.

It's time for The King's Court. Tonight's guest is "The Rocket" Owen Hart. "The King" Jerry Lawler asks Owen how it feels to stand next to the real king. Owen says he made a promise to his brother Bret "Hit Man" Hart as well as to his parents that he would not hit him and that he would save the beating to Lawler for Bret at SummerSlam. Lawler asks Owen what was going through his mind when Bret won the King of the Ring Tournament only for him to confront Bret and ruin his coronation. Owen says all he thought is that Lawler is a coward and that Bret is the real king, and that Bret will prove it at SummerSlam. The only reason why he never got involved at King of the Ring is because he promised not to get involved in the match and promised not to get involved with Lawler, but he would have loved to rip his head off. Lawler then mocks Owen's family, which ends up being the last straw for Owen as Owen tells Lawler he made a promise not to let anyone talk bad about his family, and he challenges Lawler to a match next week. Lawler tells him that if he is feeling froggy, all he has to do is jump, because he's ready and he's the king of wrestling. Owen tells Lawler that the only king he is is the Burger King.

"The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels beats Chris Hahn. During the match, it is announced that the newest issue of WWF Magazine is on sale now, and also includes an article on how Shawn took the Intercontinental Championship back from Marty Jannetty.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Doink and The 1-2-3 Kid. The Kid says August 13th will be his first night in Madison Square Garden when, all of a sudden, a second Doink shows up and walks around behind The Kid. Doink tells The 1-2-3 Kid that he'll have to turn him over his knee and give him a spanking at the Garden. Okerlund also interviews "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who says that it's time to get rid of all the clowns in the World Wrestling Federation, saying that you'll have to see it to believe it when it comes to what he is going to do to "The King" Jerry Lawler in the Garden.

Come As You Are (WWF Superstar) - Superstars recap for July 17, 1993

Tatanka beats Brian Costello. During the match, it is announced that Crush is convalescing at home in Kona, Hawaii after suffering a collapsed chest at The Stars and Stripes Challenge, and that a further update on Crush will be available next week.

It is announced that Lex Luger is starting a "Call To Action" Campaign to tour the United States to show what's right about America as he tries to get the fans to not only get behind him, but to tell WWF President Jack Tunney to make him #1 contender for the WWF Championship, as it is rumored that Tunney will make a decision on that next week. We then see footage of Lex Luger's bus, the Lex Express, which will be touring the United States.

Adam Bomb beats Rich Myers. During the match, it is announced that a personality profile on Adam Bomb is featured inside the newest issue of WWF Magazine, available on newsstands now.

Also, Yokozuna will defend the WWF Championship in a steel cage against Bret "Hit Man" Hart. We then hear from Lawler and Savage at the commentary table. Lawler says Savage is not just a has-been, but a "never was," and says he will let him meet his fans up close and personal. Last time he was at Madison Square Garden, he beat Tito Santana all over the building, and he will do the same to Savage. He then tells the fans to kiss his feet, just like Savage will when the match is over. Savage says they will have a garden party, and if that August 13th will be his last day in the squared circle.

Before the next match, Irwin R. Schyster says that he, for one, cannot wait until the tax rates are raised, so that all the tax cheats out there have to pay more.

Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) beat The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) for a fourth WWF Tag Team Championship reign...almost. Irwin R. Schyster hits Scott Steiner in the back with his briefcase, allowing DiBiase to get the pinfall, but another referee shows up and explains to the referee in the match what has happened. The decision is reversed, and Money Inc. is disqualified. The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) retain the WWF Tag Team Championships by disqualification.

On the SummerSlam Report, it is announced that The Undertaker will take on Giant Gonzales in a Rest In Peace Match.

Boni Blackstone interviews Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) in the ring. DiBiase says they were robbed of the WWF Tag Team Championships to begin with, and says that The Steiner Brothers cried and whined until they got their shot and that they stole the tag team titles from the first time out. Now they have been robbed of the tag titles again. They admit to the use of the briefcase, and Irwin R. Schyster says that is convenient that another official not involved in the match costs them the tag titles. He says that nobody steals from Money Inc., especially The Steiner Brothers. DiBiase says it happens to them and nobody else, and says that WWF President Jack Tunner does not like them due to their money and the power that comes with it. He tells the Steiners that if they are the champions and wrestlers that they think they are, then they will accept their challenge for the tag team titles next week.

Me. Hughes beats Sonny Rogers. Before the match, a gentleman dressed in black delivers a funeral wreath with a black ribbon and roses to ringside. After the match, Mr. Hughes destroys the wreath and the condolences card placed with it.

He says this kind of match requires a lot of moment, and that Yokozuna does not have the movement, the ability or the determination to beat anyone in a steel cage, especially him. Mr. Fuji tells Bret that he must have some connection with WWF President Jack Tunney to sanction a match like this and put the WWF Championship up. He then says that when Bret looks across the ring at Yokozuna, Yokozuna will have only one thing in mind: finishing him off and making him look like a pancake in a kamikaze bomb. Bret says Yokozuna won't be able to get his big butt over the cage wall or through the door, and that it's just going to be him and Yokozuna with Mr. Fuji unable to be involved.

Harvey Wippleman announces that in a few minutes, Mr. Hughes will destroy "El Matador" Tito Santana and everything he stands for like he did The Undertaker.

Mr. Hughes beats "El Matador" Tito Santana after rolling on top of Santana, who hits a high flying cross body.

It is announced that The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) have beaten Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) to become the WWF Tag Team Champions for the second time in a week at a live event in St. Louis, Missouri. Rick announces that they are new tag team champs. He say it has been a long, hard, tough road and they may have been overconfident once or twice, but they have the belts and they will keep them Scott says they've worked all their lives to be WWF Tag Team Champions, and they will work that much harder to keep them for a long, long time.

Doink quickly beats Scott Dane with the Stump Puller.

Mr. Fuji announces that The Stars and Stripes Challenge is a week away, and that Yokozuna will challenge all American professional athletes from all sports to pick him up and slam him back down. Fuji says they are making this challenge to make America look like a bunch of fools. Yokozuna says "All Americans...is weak." Fuji says only the Japanese are strong, and that Yokozuna will survive.

We see a one-screen advertisement for The Stars and Stripes Challenge.

Crush says Yokozuna is bigger than ever at 500 pounds, and that he has challenged any and all American professional athletes to body slam him on July 4th on the USS Intrepid. Crush states that he will answer The Stars and Stripes Challenge, and flexes his muscles as he tells Yokozuna to take a good, long look at his destiny.

The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu) beat Buddy Lane and Mike Davis.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund advertises The Stars and Stripes Challenge at the USS Intrepid in New York City, New York on July 4th. He then advertises tomorrow night's show at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The first 1,000 kids through the doors will receive a coupon for a free Dentax WWF Superstars toothbrush. Crush will face Doink, and The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) will face Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster). Also on that night, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan will face Yokozuna for the WWF Championship in a return Lumberjack Match. Okerlund interviews Duggan, Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji for Face To Face. Duggan says the lumberjacks surrounding the ring will be an advantage for him, as he had Yokozuna beat last time until Mr. Fuji threw salt into his eyes. Fuji says that he never threw the salt, and says Duggan ran away from Yokozuna. Duggan says the only man he is afraid of is Dad, and if he can't beat Yokozuna, he has a piece of lumber that will.

Razor Ramon vs. The 1-2-3 Kid from Raw earlier this week is replayed.

Tatanka tells Yokozuna that if he wants to issue a challenge on July 4th, then he, as the first American and a proud Native American, will accept his challenge. With the power of his people and the great spirit, he will take Yokozuna's 500 pounds and slam him through the floor.

Bastion Booger beats Virgil in a Superstars rematch.

We see another vignette for Men on a Mission (Osar, Mabel, Mo).

Boni Blackwell interviews Bam Bam Bigelow. Bigelow says everyone knows he is not only the biggest, the meanest or the strongest, but the best wrestler in the WWF today. He says that there is one thing people don't know, and that there is another side of him. He says he has a heart, and that every man in the world has their heart. In his heart, he has feelings and sensitivity. He says that he has found love, and that he has found someone that he is madly in love with. He introduces his "main squeeze" and his "love tick." Luna Vachon shows up, and the crowd chants "Luna-tick" after Boni Blackwell calls her one. Bam Bam says only he calls her the "tick," Luna has a body that any model would die for, a mind of Einstein, and the guts and what it takes to get the job done. Luna takes offense to the "lunatic" nickname, and says Boni is standing too close to her man. She tells Luna to take a close look at Bam Bam, and says "Arnold Schwarzenegger, eat your heart out!" before telling Mel Gibson to get out of the way before saying Bam Bam is on fire and that he makes her hot.

Mr. Perfect beats Bert Centeno. During the match, it is announced that Bret "Hit Man" Hart will have a special interview next week on Superstars.

He also advertises Monday Night Raw for July 5th at the Manhattan Center in midtown Manhattan, New York. Bret "Hit Man" Hart will face Mr. Hughes. He then re-advertises tomorrow night's show at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. Bob Backlund will face Mr. Hughes, while The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) will face Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster). Okerlund then interviews both teams for Face To Face. DiBiase says that what happened to them will be called the biggest rip-off in World Wrestling Federation history. He says that The Steiners stole the belt, and tomorrow night, The Steiners will soon become the shortest-lived tag team champions in WWF history. Rick Steiner says this is a great time for him and Scott now that they have won the tag team titles, and says Money Inc. couldn't buy any guts that night. Scott says that Money Inc. was not robbed, they were Frankensteined just like everyone else.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 21, 1993

The Steiner Brothers (now the new WWF World Tag Team Champions) beat Barry Hardy and Reno Riggins. The Steiners won the tag titles at a television taping in Columbus, Ohio on June 14th after beating Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster), then lost them back to Money Inc. two days later in Rockford, Illinois. Three days later in St. Louis, Missouri, the Steiner Brothers won the titles again.

During the next match, it is announced that Yokozuna has dared any and all comers to try to body slam him on July 4th. A couple of athletes from the National Hockey League, National Football League and the World Wrestling Federation will be on hand to try their luck.

Doink beats Marty Janetty two falls to one in a two-out-of-three falls match, thanks to a second Doink replacing the first. After the match, however, Randy Savage reveals what's happened to the ref, and the decision is immediately reversed to give Janetty the second fall and the win. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan sides with the two Doinks, and Savage immediately confronts Heenan because of this.

Mr. Hughes beats Bobby Who. Before the match, Hughes tells The Undertaker that if he wants his urn back, he'd better come and get it.

Razor Ramon and The 1-2-3 Kid fight to a double count-out after The Kid grabs Razor Ramon's money and takes off in the back seat of a card. After the break, Razor tells The Kid he's after him.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund advertises Monday Night Raw for this Monday night, June 7th at the Manhattan Center in midtown Manhattan, New York. Billy Gunn and Scott Steiner will take on Fatu and Irwin R. Schyster. Also, Giant Gonzales, Harvey Wippleman, Doink and a host of others will also be there. WWF also returns to the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York on Sunday night, June 27th. On that night, Crush faces Doink in a return bout, The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) will face Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) for the WWF Tag Team Championships, and Yokozuna will face "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan in a Lumberjack Match. Okerlund interviews Yokozuna and Duggan for Face To Face. Hacksaw says Memorial Day was a day for all Americans to show respect for all the veterans who put their lives on the line to keep freedom free, but now it's back to business and that this Lumberjack Match has been set up so Mr. Fuji doesn't stick his nose in the match. Mr. Fuji speaks for Yokozuna, and reminds Duggan that Memorial Day is giving the country of Japan a lot of money, and asks how the lumberjacks will get Yokozuna back in the ring if he somehow gets him out. Hacksaw says he will do it himself if he has to.

Kamala - without Reverend Slick, who is conspicuous by his absence - beats Phil Apollo.

We hear from The 1-2-3 Kid, who says that he was watching Superstars with his grandparents when he sees Razor Ramon offering him $5000 to get back in the ring with him. He says it is a really hard decision, but he cannot accept the money knowing what will happen to him in the ring.

"The Narcissist" Lex Luger beats Jason Knight.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage speaks to the children of P.S. 384 in Brooklyn, New York.

Mr. Hughes beats Russ Greenberg. During the match, we hear pre-recorded comments from Harvey Wippleman, who is so happy to have Mr. Hughes in his army, as he is rough, tough, mean, strong, powerful and takes no nonsense from anybody, just like him.

On the King of the Ring Report, we hear from Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji. Fuji says there is only one week left before Hulk Hogan meets Yokozuna for the WWF Championship which he claims Hogan stole. He says Hogan will be punished very severely and will scream in pain when Yokozuna squashes him and nobody sees him again. He says that Yokozuna will take the belt back to Japan where it belonds, where it be placed in a shrine from all to see. We then hear from Hogan, who says he has a bone to pick as he squares off with Yokozuna. He says that he will take care of all the family business, but this one is his and all the Hulkamaniacs, all of America and all the world will be watching him and wanting a ringside seat when he takes care of Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji. He says that Yokozuna will bow at his feet, and it wil be the "shaka-boom" heard all the world when he slams him onto the mat and sics Jimmy Hart on Mr. Fuji while he is at it. We then hear from "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, who says he is excited for the King of the Ring Tournament and focused, and that there is no way Bam Bam Bigelow is going to stop him.

Te Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) beat Dale Wolfe and Gus Kantakaris.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund re-advertises Monday Night Raw for this Monday night, June 7th at the Manhattan Center in midtown Manhattan, New York. He also advertises a show for the Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, June 12th, with $2 off for all children under 12, and announces that Razor Ramon will face Shawn Michaels, Mr. Perfect goes up against "The Narcissist" Lex Luger, and Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka will square off in the squared circle that night. We also hear from The Undertaker with Paul Bearer and Giant Gonzales with Harvey Wippleman. Wippleman says The Undertaker will end up flat on his back when he faces Giant Gonzales again, as his career will come to an end and that there is nothing The Undertaker or Paul Bearer can do about it. Bearer says that Wippleman made the fatal mistake and that it will be the end of Giant Gonzales, as The Undertaker will pull out his eyeballs and spit into the open eyesockets of his soul. The Undertaker syas that the only question left to be answered is what will be done with the rotting carcass of Giant Gonzales.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 31, 1993

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan reminds everybody it's Memorial Day, and dedicates tonight's episode to the United States Armed Forces.

Marty Jannetty (accompanied by Sensational Sherri) retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Bam Bam Bigelow (accompanied by Luna Vachon) by count-out when Bam Bam is preoccupied with Sherri. Bam Bam attacks Janetty after the match.

Dwayne Schintzius of the New York Giants is in the audience.

Sensation Sherri shows up and calls out Luna Vachon for a one-on-one match. Luna shows up, but a referee is holding her back. Sherri finally attacks Luna after behind after a few moments and gets back in the ring, but she is suddenly grabbed from behind by Bam Bam Bigelow, allowing Luna to get some shots in. Tatanka makes the save for Sherri and goes after Bam Bam Bigelow, causing Bam Bam to retreat. Tatanka and the referee help Sherri to the back.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat Rich Myers and The Executioner (aka Executioner Pain).

Lee Rousan, New York Giants running back, is also in the audience.

Mr. Hughes beats Bert Centeno.

Shawn Michaels takes on Crush at King of the Ring as revenge for Crush stopping him from qualifying into the King of the Ring tournament.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan beats Mark Thomas. After the match, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan leads a mass Pledge of Allegiance in the ring.

"The Kid," now known as the 1-2-3 Kid, turns down Razor Ramon's $5,000 offer.

Razor Ramon beats Tony Roy.

Next week: Jerry Lawler hosts the first ever King's Court on Raw with Yokozuna. Come As You Are (WWF Superstar) - Superstars recap for May 15, 1993

Harvey Wippleman says Tatanka has been undefeated since he came to the World Wrestling Federation, but that will all come to a screeching halt, as he is minutes away from facing defeat at the hands of Giant Gonzales. Tatanka says Giant Gonzales will find why "The Native American" fears no man.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat Mark Ming and Jim Armstrong. During the match, it is announced that the WWF Posters Six, featuring a poster of The Steiner Brothers, is now available.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund advertises Monday Night Raw for Monday night, May 17th at the Manhattan Center in midtown Manhattan, New York. Bret "The Hit Man" will face Bam Bam Bigelow, Kamala will face Yokozuna, and Mr. Perfect and a host of other WWF Superstars will be there. Okerlund also advertises a show for the Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, June 12th, where Shawn Michaels defends the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Razor Ramon, The Undertaker squares off with Giant Gonzales, and "The Narcissist" Lex Luger faces Mr. Perfect. Okerlund interviews Mr. Perfect for Face To Face, and says he knows about the metal plate in his forearm and will continue to challenge him. He says that Luger will not be able to blindside him or beat him in the ring, and tells Luger he is looking at the ultimate wrestler who will not only teach him a wrestling lesson, but maybe even use his metal plate in his forearm against him. Also as part of Face To Face, Okerlund also interviews Shawn and Razor. Shawn says they are not going to mess up their own faces, and Razor says there will be a lot of girls there. Razor tells Shawn to go take the fat ones, as he always gets the fat ones.

Mr. Hughes beats Bobby Young. During the match, we see pre-recorded comments from Reverend Slick, who says that he has always prided himself in his ability to recognize raw talent, and says there is so much about Mr. Hughes that he likes. He says that Mr. Hughes is going in the wrong direction, and wants to help him channel those energies into a positive light.

The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) say there is nothing like a scrap to get a man's attention, and they plan to head to the WWF for some tag team excitement.

Bob Backlund beats Terry Zeller.

Boni Blackstone interviews "The Narcissist" Lex Luger. Blackstone focuses on Luger's forearm, and mentions the metal plate, and Luger says that nothing more has to be said on the fairness of him competing with the plate in his forearm. As for referees and officials wanting him to use a protective padding on it, he says that nobody should be stirring anything that shouldn't be stirred up, and that the WWF's decision is final. As for the fans demanding that the plate be covered up, Lex Luger goes up and says he doesn't care what anybody thinks and that nobody tells him what he can or cannot do, as he is going to the top of the World Wrestling Federation, and that he will knock out ans step on anyone who gets in his way, plate or no plate, including Bret "Hit Man" Hart, for he will become the man in the WWF and he does not care who he has to knock out to do it.

Shawn Michaels beats Billy Jones. During the match, Shawn Michaels comically sits next to ring announcer Mike McGuirk with his arm across her shoulders for a few seconds.

On the King of the Ring Report, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Hulk Hogan, who says that as he puts his ears down to the sands, he hears the fear in Mr. Fuji and Yokozuna's walk as they strut through Japan, as they realize that he has had it with Hollywood and is returning to the ring, and he is going to prove that winning the WWF Championship was no fluke and that Hulkamania will live forever. Hogan says that he has been on the brink of disaster, drinking his own sweat waiting for WWF President Jack Tunney's decision whether or not to strip him of the title, and even if Tunney stripped him of the title, he would rip it right back off Yokozuna's waist. It is then announced that Bret Hart will be facing Razor Ramon first in the King of the Ring. Razor Ramon says that Bret is a loser, while he is on a roll. He has carved up one opponent, and Bret will be next. We find out that "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan will face Bam Bam Bigelow in the tournament, then hear from "The Narcissist" Lex Luger, who is also in the tournament. Luger says that now that he has qualified for the tournament, the winner is just a foregone conclusion; however, he will not ruin the suspense, as they have trouble finding him an opponent, who will face a sound, humiliating defeat just like all the rest. This week on Wrestling Challenge, Doink and Mr. Perfect will have a re-match for a slot in the tournament, while here on Superstars, Tatanka will face Giant Gonzales for a slot.

Tatanka beast Giant Gonzales by disqualification and qualify for the King of the Ring tournament after Gonzales shoves the referee down. Gonzales then proceeds to choke out Tatanka, then chases another referee out of the ring.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund advertises a show at the Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Saturday night, May 22nd at 8 PM - with $2 off for kids 12 and under - where Crush will face Doink, "Macho Man" goes up against Giant Gonzales and The Mega Maniacs (Hulk Hogan and Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake) vs. Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) with the WWF Tag Team Championships on the line and Sgt. Slaughter as special guest referee. We hear from Hogan and Brutus. Brutus says that he is not worried about Money Inc., as Sgt. Slaughter can toss both of them out with one hand and because The Mega Maniacs are the better team. The only thing he is worried about is what kind of haircut he will give Sgt. Slaughter if he gives up. Hogan says they might as well give him a Hulk Hogan haircut, and says that now that he has the WWF Championship, he is worried about how "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart will be able to hold three belts. He then tells Money Inc. to get ready to file bankruptcy, as they have seized Hart and they will seize all their assets. We then hear from Money Inc. as part of Face To Face. I.R.S. takes the time to make a formal apology to Sgt. Slaughter, and asks that Sgt. Slaughter call the match down the middle, as they take good care of their friends. DiBiase, on the other hand, feels the match should not even be taking place, as The Mega Maniacs got disqualified at WrestleMania 9.

Shawn Michaels says that next week, there will be a non-title match between him and Crush to see who qualifies for the King of the Ring tournament. He says that since he is WWF Intercontinental Champion, he does not have to qualify, as he is already the king. He says that Crush will soon find out that being big does not make you good; instead, being good makes you good. Crush tells Shawn that he keeps telling everyone about how good he is, and says he is good for nothing. He may have him in a non-title match, but this match is important and dictate who goes on to the tournament. He will crush Shawn and prove that he is both big and good.

Bam Bam Bigelow beats Typhoon to qualify for the King of the Ring Tournament.

This Saturday on WWF Mania, The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) will make their WWF debut!

Yokozuna beats P.J. Walker. Before the match, it is announced that Yokozuna will take on Kamala next week.

Doink and Mr. Perfect have a King of the Ring Tournament qualifying rematch on Wrestling Challenge, while Tatanka and Giant Gonzales fight each other for the right to qualify on Superstars.

Mr. Perfect beats "Iron" Mike Sharpe.

Mr. Hughes - now accompanied by Harvey Whippleman - beats the Cannonball Kid (obviously the Kamikaze Kid from the week before).

Before the main event, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan attacks Yokozuna in revenge for putting him out of action for four months. Also, Shawm Michaels limps to the ring on crutches only to be attacked by Mr. Perfect. When Michaels reacts, it is revealed the crutches were a front for him to weasel his way out of the match. It obviously doesn't work and the match goes on as scheduled, albeit with Michaels in his street clothes from Perfect's first attack on him from earlier.

The Lumberjack Match between "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and Shawn Michaels for the WWF Intercontinental Championship ends in a disqualification victory for Shawn Michaels after Bam Bam Bigelow gets on the apron and yells at Duggan. As the ref is distracted by Bigelow, Michaels tosses Duggan towards Yokozuna, who attacks him. Yokozuna slowly rolls Duggan back into the ring, and Michaels has the match won until Mr. Perfect attacks Michaels again, causing the referee to call for the bell. After the match, all of the lumberjacks brawl, and Duggan chases them all out with his trademark 2x4 to end the show.

Come As You Are (WWF Superstar) - Superstars recap for May 8, 1993

Before the next match, Irwin R. Schyster says two things are for certain: that the tax laws will always change and that the people will always find a way to cheat.

Money Inc. ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) and Mr. Hughes beat The Nasty Boys (Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs) and Kamala when Kamala cannot turn I.R.S. over for the pinfall and I.R.S. pins him with a schoolboy pin.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund advertises Monday Night Raw for Monday night, May 10th at the Manhattan Center in midtown Manhattan, New York. Advertised is a Lumberjack Match between "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and Shawn Michaels for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. He also advertises a show at the Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Saturday night, May 22nd at 8 PM - with $2 off for kids 12 and under - where "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Giant Gonzales will have a one-on-one match-up. Okerlund then interviews Harvey Wippleman and Giant Gonzales. Wippleman says Savage will do his best impression of a BB gun pellet when he gets in the ring with Gonzales, and that all the "ignorant Yankees" need to find their way to the Meadowlands Arena so they can really see "the real southern boy from Argentina" embarrass and humiliate "Macho Man" Randy Savage one final time. He then goes on to say that Savage is an ignorant Yankee himself just for signing the contract for the match. He also interviews Crush, who will face Doink that night. Crush says he has one big score to settle with Doink, where he took him around the ring and took him apart, and says that the second Doink was the only thing that saved him. He dares Doink to bring his double to the ring.

Yokozuna beats Sean Dakota. During the match, it is announced that Hulk Hogan is on the cover of WWF Magazine, and that "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart is on the inside.

We see the King of the Ring Report. Mr. Fuji (with Yokozuna) says that last time, Yokozuna was not prepared after going twenty hard minutes with Bret "Hit Man" Hart, but now, Yokozuna is prepared for Hogan and he will become the WWF Champion again. Fuji says Hogan will pay. "The Narcissist" Lex Luger says that he finds it amazing that he had to qualify for the King of the Ring Tournament, and says that Bob Backlund had to pay the price for that. He says that he cannot wait to face the #1 seed, Bret "Hit Man" Hart, as he will write the final chapter and put an end to his career. It is then announced that "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and Papa Shango will square off to see who qualifies for the tournament this week on Wrestling Challenge, while Typhoon and Bam Bam Bigelow will do the same next week on Raw. Next, Razor Ramon will face "El Matador" Tito Santana for a slot at the tournament.

Crush beats Steve Vega with the Cranium Crusher.

We hear from Luna Vachon, who says that she will haunt Sensational Sherri's very breath and be her shadow in the darkness, and soon, she will wipe her from this earth. Then, she will be the goddess of the squared circle. Sensational Sherri says Luna attacked her from behind at WrestleMania 9, and on top of that, she attacked her again in the emergency room. If Luna wants a piece of her, she can come and get it, as she invented mean and she will take her anytime, anywhere, one-on-one.

Razor Ramon beats "El Matador" Tito Santana after using Santana's momentum against him following a top rope cross body and grabbing the tights to qualify for the King of the Ring Tournament.

Schyster) with the WWF Tag Team Championships on the line and Sgt. Slaughter as the special guest referee. Okerlund then interviews Money Inc. DiBiase says that they have had the tag titles for a while, and nothing will change. As for Sgt. Slaughter, he smells a rat with him as special guest referee, and says that The Mega Maniacs got frustrated at WrestleMania 9 and now want a referee in their back pocket. We then go to Sgt. Slaughter, who says that what happened at WrestleMania 9 will not happen again, and he will take care of the situation this time around. I.R.S. complains about The Mega Maniacs taking and spending all their money, but Slaughter says he was there at WrestleMania 9 and saw what happened.

Raymond Rougeau interviews Harvey Wippleman and Giant Gonzales. Next week, Giant Gonzales will face Tatanka, and Wippleman is reminded that he has not seen the last of The Undertaker. Wippleman admits that The Undertaker has kept on coming back, but that is because of sheer stupidity and that The Undertaker does not have enough sense to realize that when he signed for one more match with Gonzales, it would be his final match, and when The Undertaker gets carried out again, he will not get up and he will be carried out to stay, once and for all. As far as Tatanka is concerned, he will be the next in a long line of opponents eliminated from the World Wrestling Federation by Giant Gonzales, as Tatanka will get in the ring for a King of the Ring tournament qualifying match only to be knocked out of the tournament and out of the WWF. Gonzales simply says "Goodbye, Indian."

Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 26, 1993

Mr. Perfect beats Damien Demento.

Jasmine McNeill's anti-drug essay "There's No Hope With Dope" is read by the author herself as part of an anti-drug campaign from the World Wrestling Federation. The Undertaker appears at the end.

Bobby "The Brain" Heenan announces that two people in the front row are getting engaged on Monday Night Raw tonight.

"The Narcissist" Lex Luger beats Crush by count-out after Crush is distracted by Doink, who taunts him from the top row. Doinks points to the other side of the arena, and when the camera pans to that side, there is another Doink. Luger attacks Crush from behind, sending him outside the ring where he lays unconscious.

King of the Ring is coming to Pay-Per-View on June 13th! Hulk Hogan will defend the WWF Championship against Yokozuna in a rematch from WrestleMania 9. This week on Superstars, Mr. Perfect takes on Doink, and Bob Backlund takes on "The Narcissist" Lex Luger in King of the Ring qualifying matches.

We get our first look at The Smoking Gunns, Billy and Bart Gunn.

Vince McMahon interviews the WWF Intercontinental Champion, Shawn Michaels, who defends next week against "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. He insults New York City and its wrestling fans, and says he doesn't need anyone behind him as he got the Intercontinental Championship on his own. As for Duggan, Michaels calls himself an "equal opportunity defender" and calls Duggan "ugly as the day is long." Before he can say anything to Mr. Perfect, the man he attacked backstage at WrestleMania 9, Perfect shows up, surrounded by officials trying to keep him from getting in the ring, trying to get at Michaels. Michaels kicks Perfect off the apron, and Perfect chases him all the way back to the backstage area.

Howard Cross and Joey Smith of the New York Giants are in the crowd.

Typhoon beats Von Krus. During the match, Vince McMahon interviews "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan via phone, who says he's coming to Raw next week to wrestle and tells Shawn Michaels to prepare for a beatdown.

After the last match, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan helps Chuck Szonowski pop the question to his girlfriend Louise. She says "yes."
