Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for May 18, 2023

In backstage footage from earlier today, Dasha Gonzalez interviews Willie Mack and Ninja Mack. Willie says Ninja has impressed him and that they could make a good team. Ninja agrees, and both men shake hands as he says they should try to make this partnership work.

Rey Fenix beats Gringo Loco.

Backstage, Dasha Gonzalez interviews The Wingmen ("Pretty" Peter Avalon and "The Hollywood Hunk" Ryan Nemeth). Nemeth is unmpressed with the fact that The Iron Savages' (Boulder and Bronson) thing is lifting weights and that he thinks they do "the bear minimum." Avalon says they have no fashion sense with their Zubaz, and that they wil prove ROH is "Wingman Country."

Willow Nightingale beats Madi Wrenkowski.

Before the next match, Jacked Jameson introduces The Iron Savages (Boulder and Bronson, now known respectively as Beefcake Boulder and "Dirty" Bulk Bronson).

The Iron Savages (Beefcake Boulder and "Dirty" Bulk Bronson) beat The Wingmen ("Pretty" Peter Avalon and "The Hollywood Hunk" Ryan Nemeth).

Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal beat Cole Karter and "The Reality" Zack Clayton.

Lady Frost beats Miranda Alize.

The Spanish Announce Project (Angelico and Serpentico) beat Eli Isom and Cheeseburger with an ankle lock from Angelico to Cheeseburger.

Zack Sabre Jr. retains the New Japan Pro Wrestling World Television Championship against AR Fox with a spladle into a stretch muffler. After the match, Dasha Gonzalez interviews Zack Sabre Jr., who says he feels "bloody marvelous" after the last five months. He says he has set his sights on the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship since he joined New Japan, but when the television title debuted, he knew he had an opportunity to make history and bring energy to a brand new champion, and now, he is the best champion in the world as well as the most active television champion in all of wrestling. Suddenly, Samoa Joe shows up and welcomes Zack back, then admits that he would greet him with a more jovial manner if it were not for the NJPW World Television Championship. He says there can be only one television champion, and while the powers that be do not want this, they are out there and it is just the two of them, a little bit of air and a lot of opportunity. As Samoa Joe proposes they see wh ocan walk out with both titles, Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal show up, and Daniels shows up and says Joe cannot just up and make matches. Daniels also says he has been a former television champion and that Sydal is long overdue for a single title in ROH. Sydal says he can feel the televison titles pulling him toward them, then says he is here for the big matches and has his eyes on his and Zack's titles. Daniels then asks them which one wants to step up and defend their title against him. Zack proposes to Joe that they team up against Daniels and Sydal, with Daniels or Sydal getting a shot at one of their titles if they win, before they have their television title match.

The Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) beat The Boy (Brandon Tate) and Dalton Castle. The Boy is pinned despite Dalton Castle being the legal man for his team.

The Workhorsemen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry) and Shane Taylor beat Schaff and The Midnight Heat ("Rockin'" Ricky Gibson and "Precious" Eddie Pearl) in a trios match.

Backstage, Dasha Gonzalez interviews The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch). As Vincent talks about Stu Grayson is "inspiring," Stu Grayson storms in and says that if The Righteous want to play a game, then they will not like how it ends. Dutch tells Stu that he is "slow dancing in a burning Rome," and Vincent says it is time to change that tune, as The Dark Order have brought him back but have kept chained up on a leash in the backyard. As Vincent tells Stu that he is his friend and that all he has to do is give him a chance, the rest of The Dark Order stands up for Stu. Stu interrupts and tells The Dark Order not to speak for him, then tells The Righteous that they have one chance.

Mercedes Martinez beats Ashley D'Amboise with the Brass City Sleeper.

Darius Martin and Action Andretti beat The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) in a Fight Without Honor. Both teams shake hands after the match.
