Ruby Soho does some backstage promo work in preparation for the upcoming Winter Is Coming episode of Dynamite. Ruby is not happy that Tay Melo broke her nose in two places and feels apprehensive about being in the ring with her.
The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) head to this week's show, and Matt brings his wife Dana with him. Tay confirms that she has a match with Ruby Soho at Winter Is Coming, and she is worried about Ruby Soho ruining her momentum and the match, as it would be bad for both of them.
Backstage, recent AEW signing Willow Nightingale speaks with Britt Baker and mentions that she may have bitten into one of her teeth a little too hard. She also gets some advice from her about connecting with the fans.
For the third week in a row, Sammy Guevara does not have a match, but he does get to do a run-in on Jon Moxley. He also get a call from his mom.
Britt Baker meets with Kenny Omega backstage. Kenny admits he is worried about Austin - aka Adam Cole - coming off a traumatic set of head injuries and that one more concussion could be make or break. He says that if he wants to be in the ring, he would be more comfortable to watch him and see what happens.
Sammy Guevara tells his mom about the run-in he will do on Jon Moxley backstage. Sammy's mom and Tay Conti watch the run-in backstage, then they and Sammy meet Tony Khan and Ricky Starks while pitching a shirt idea to Tony.
Backstage, Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale discuss Willow's match for Dark Elevation tonight and the run-in that will happen. The run-in from Tay Melo and Anna Jay happens and it goes great, and that Ruby's apprehension made things easier. Ruby says she has done everything she can to prepare the story for her match at Winter Is Coming.
In Austin, Texas the day after Dynamite, Tay Melo, Sammy Guevara and Sammy's mom check out the venue where Sammy used to wrestle at WrestleCircus, where Sammy got a lot of exposure. Sammy and his mom have been there, but Tay is seeing it for the first time, and Sammy shows off how he did a moonsault off of a steel beam. Sammy gets a little emotional, as he would not be in AEW if it were not for the wrestling scene in Austin.
Austin heads to the fitness center to get in the ring for the first time since his concussion to see if he is ready. Britt Baker shows up with Kenny Omega, and Bryce, a medical and athletic trainer for AEW also shows up to determine if he can be cleared. Austin does some regular rope running at first, and he admits that he feels a little dizzy. Omega joins in on the corner rolls to make sure he is ready. Bryce says Austin is doing well and that they will wait a few more days to see how he feels, and Austin is excited to be on the road to going back.
On the morning of Winter Is Coming, Matt Jackson notices that people have been booing The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson) more than cheering, but that more people are starting to cheer Meanwhile, Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo make their way to the arena. Taya hopes to have no drama with Ruby Soho in their match tonight and that they can work together in the ring. Sammy does not have a match tonight, and he is worried about his momentum, but he is happy for Taya having a big match.
Ninety minutes before thes how, Britt Baker and Saraya do a promo for an upcoming tag match. Britt says the women's division is in a better position than a year ago, but there is always work to be done. 45 minutes before the show, Sammy finds out he has a match with Jon Moxley, and while they will have a nice match, he hopes to have a main event storyline.
The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson) have their fourth match in their best-of-seven with Death Triangle (PAC, Penta el Zero Miedo, Rey Fenix). Matt hopes that The Elite will be able to move on from the best-of-seven series. The match goes well, and with the fifth match being a no-disqualification, the crowd does not know who to boo.
Tay Melo and Ruby Soho get ready for their match. Ruby plans to make it clear that if she is about to be back on the shelf, that it will not be tolerated. Tay and Melo have their match, and Sammy Guevara watches from gorilla position. The match goes great, with Ruby being professional throughout. Backstage, Ruby is surprised the match went well and did not go out of control, and Tony Khan may want to make the match into a feud.
Sammy gets ready for his match with Jon Moxley, which goes well. The medical team checks on Sammy after the match, and Sammy is okay and does not have a concussion. On the way out, Sammy is met by Tony Khan, and the two of them discuss where to go from tonight. Sammy finds out that there are some creative plans for him in the near future, even if they are not for a world championship.
